“We got married in the Biltmore Ballroom of the Graduate last weekend and it was the perfect venue! To start, Elise is an absolute pro at wedding planning/coordinating, and her whole staff was incredible. We felt so supported from the beginning of planning, with a million little random questions- all the way up to the wedding day. Over the last few months we have continued to joke that "we don't think we're doing wedding planning right" whenever we were asked how planning is going, because we haven't felt stressed at all, and thats because of the support we received from Elise and her team. The actual weekend of our wedding flowed so smoothly, and was truly a blast. Again, Elise and her staff handled everything that day, so we were able to just sit back and really enjoy every moment of our wedding day. The hotel itself was very accommodating for our guests, and we are still receiving compliments on how beautiful the venue was, and how much everyone loved the food. We also cannot get over the photos we took at the hotel! Cannot recommend enough!”

“Hotel Providence was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue. I loved moving from room to room, having a dance floor away from space for folks to have coffee and dessert, and to be able to walk upstairs at the end of the night. We could not have been more happy. There has been a recent change in events personnel, which led to some miscommunications and a few things not happening as expected. While nothing that altered any piece of our enjoyment, I would recommend couples who are more anxious or type A to hire a day/month of coordinator to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. The staff at HP are five-star, and they handled every questions, concern, issue, and guest with grace and professionalism. I thought it was well-priced., and for us, having a venue that "does it all" was super important.”

“Just a Girl Events had the pleasure of working here for a small wedding. The venue is amazing! With 3 onsite areas that would be considered suites it is perfect to host your wedding party from the evening before to the day after. The studio space itself is beautiful with gabled ceilings and a beautiful floor with a brick inlay that is of the original design. The entire team was so attentive, responsive, adaptable, and friendly - from the planning process, to our check-in experience, to the servers and bartenders in the Huntington ballroom throughout the event. Our hotel block was easy to plan and all our guests really enjoyed their stays, commenting how everything was top-notch. I cannot give enough thanks to Geena, she was with us every step of the way and helped us navigate planning such a large and meaningful event. She ensured every detail was remembered, was so attentive throughout the year leading up to the big day, and was a true joy to work with - for us and our team of vendors. She helped us and all of our guests feel welcome the entire weekend. Wedding planning is a big task to take on but it was great to not have to worry about many details because I knew I could count on Geena! Chef Nick was wonderful to work with from presenting our tasting and sharing stories behind his delicious recipes, allowing us to use the Rooftop Pool for our first look photos, working with us to customize our menu and dessert table, and stopping by during our meal to make sure everything was how we wanted and more. The food and service was simply outstanding and the Huntington Ballroom was a beautiful and elegant space. “My husband and I always wanted a Boston wedding, with all events able to happen at one location. When we found the second oldest ballroom in Boston and within budget we were floored! To top it off, the way allow access to the ballroom, cocktail hour and ceremony rooms starting at 7am, which was amazing for all our vendors who were able to drop off all items. The hotel staff assisted with moving decor, setting up favors, and security made sure everyone had elevator access to the different spaces. The day went so smoothly. We’ll planning we communicated with the hotel planner who assisted with table setup, bar placement etc. just a quick walk to the public gardens we did our first look, had amazing ballroom photos, it was just a stunning day and they had everything we needed!”

“I was originally anti-hotel wedding. "How boring, how cookie cutter," I thought. Then I toured OPH on a whim once I realized I was priced out of my dream Boston venues - I was pleasantly surprised. Though renovations had not taken place yet, I could see what a historic, old-school Boston charm the place had. The pricing was also extremely reasonable by Boston standards (though I don't know how much they've changed since I booked in summer 2024) and included so much - dinner, open bar, cake, etc. I would be remiss if I didn't compliment Julie (who had since moved on) who really sealed the deal - her warm and friendly demeanor made it easy to imagine working with her. All of the other banquet and events staff I worked with (Latchman, Marshall, etc.) were equally lovely. OPH events staff really go above and beyond, they manage your event from start to finish, set up decor, and are super friendly and communicative. From what I understand, most venue coordinators are simply there to unlock the doors and make sure the food goes out, but the folks at OPH make it possible to have no or limited day-of coordination services from an outside vendor. The renovations have made this hotel and its event spaces even more beautiful, without over-modernizing. It still feels old-school, but just brighter and well-taken care of. The food was incredible (guests were raving), and while that wasn't a priority for me, it was a wonderful bonus. The city views from the ballroom are incredible. Only minor inconveniences to keep in mind: the hotel is OLD - so the freight elevator is small (some vendors had difficulty loading in/out), the wiring is finicky (the electricity in our suite went out a few times while getting ready, though it was restored quickly), and the fire codes are fairly strict (no taper candles, even with hurricane glasses). For me, these were hardly even issues, but it may be good to know. I can't say enough good things about OPH, I think it's a really underrated and lesser-known venue that people who want a downtown Boston wedding should consider!”

Kari and Alli (director of banquets)- words cannot even express how grateful I felt having both of them help with the ceremony entrances as we had an odd amount of people in the wedding party. “The Red Lion Inn will always have a special place in our hearts. From the very beginning, we were blown away. It was our FIRST venue tour and we immediately fell in love. With the instant smell of the wood burning stove and warmth from the staff, we signed right then and there. Sean and I got married on Friday October 24th, but had the pleasure of starting off our wedding celebrations the night before! Our family and friends were greeted by Nancy and Andrew (two of the nicest people ever) at the front desk and checked into their cozy rooms. Our rehearsal dinner was in the Hillside House, where we were served an amazing dinner and had great service from all the staff. The party then continued to The Cave for some late night music and dancing before this bride had to go to bed for the big day ahead. All of us getting ready for the wedding together all at the same property was not only logistically perfect, but also SO much fun. The girls got ready in the Hillside House while the guys had a drink in The Tavern before all the festivities began. The property is stunning, especially with the fall foliage, and was the perfect backdrop for our first look and photos. Now, no one knows how to throw a party quite like Krystel and Toufik! There was not a moment that passed throughout the entire day where Sean and I had to ask for anything. They were always at our side and so helpful, supportive, and calming. I can’t say enough about Krystel’s help throughout the entire wedding planning process. She got back to me so fast about every single question (and I’m sure some were crazy) and always made me feel like she was there for whatever we needed. She even offered to help us out at the church when we were in need of a coordinator. She thinks of every detail but carries herself with such ease and grace and never seems stressed. And Toufik is truly a wedding superhero! Whether he was helping us cut the cake or bringing rescue seltzer water to get a stain off my dress at the end of the night (yes, my husband spilt ketchup on my wedding dress at the after party-lol). Our parents and friends all commented on how helpful they both were. We have done nothing but smile as we think back to our wedding day.
