“Downbeat Louisiana was simply the best choice we could’ve made for our wedding music. Chris is an amazing communicator and made the lead-up to the event (narrowing down the set list, special requests, and general coordination) very smooth; even our planner said she’d never worked with someone as responsive as he is. They accommodated our request for Louis Armstrong’s “La vie en rose” for our first dance, and Chris and the trumpet player made it just perfect. Beyond that beautiful moment, the entire band kept up those good vibes for the entire reception. People were on the dance floor from the moment they picked up their instruments, and we loved how Chris and Jenna (the wonderful female vocalist) interacted with the crowd and got everyone singing along. And in addition to sounding like total pros, Chris was also a great emcee, and nailed the pacing for the reception—no song or moment ever felt like it didn’t match the overall vibe.
