“We got married on October 4th at Swan Lake in Manorville, and High Voltage DJ was the venue’s preferred vendor — and now we understand why! We’re so grateful Swan Lake introduced us to their amazing team because they truly made our wedding one for the ages. I don’t think a single person left the dance floor all night. They completely exceeded our expectations. In the weeks leading up to the big day, we met with Matt, who walked us through every detail — from the ceremony and cocktail hour to introductions and the reception. We came in with a list of songs and a vision for how we wanted the night to flow, and Matt went above and beyond. He fine-tuned everything to perfection — timing song cues beautifully and even editing our first dance song so it included all our favorite parts without running too long. Matt was also our emcee, and along with our DJ Tony and Anthony, the entire night unfolded perfectly. Everything was perfect, from the rustic façade of the DJ booth to the cocktail hour playlist (which sounded like something we would’ve made ourselves) to the incredible reception music. They were honest, familiar with our venue (Toast in Patchogue), and never tried to upsell us. Mike took the time to go over our preferences beforehand, and he just *got it*. They understood the assignment and gave us a night we’ll never forget. The dance floor was packed the entire evening — not a single person left on the first shuttle because no one wanted to stop dancing, not even my 91-year-old grandma who stayed until the very end! They paid close attention to every detail — from our final dance song to the special tribute song for my brother and every request in between. Throughout the night, they checked in with us to make sure we were happy, seamlessly made announcements to gather guests for photos or speeches, and kept the energy high from start to finish. If you’re debating between hiring just a DJ or a DJ and MC — **get both!** It makes such a difference. The DJ can focus on mixing while the MC hypes up the crowd and keeps everything running smoothly. Our only “complaint” was that the dance floor was *too crowded* — exactly what we wanted! Cocktail hour was perfect — the volume, vibe, and timing were spot-on. Since they knew the layout of Toast, they easily set up music in a separate room with zero issues. The night flowed perfectly; there wasn’t a single awkward pause or song we wanted to skip. It was a nonstop party with amazing energy. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. And for anyone thinking a playlist and speaker could replace pros like this… trust me, you have no idea what you’d be missing. “The harpist and violinist were absolutely incredible — truly one of the most magical parts of our entire wedding day. My husband and I were completely in awe, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful and cinematic the music was. It felt like something straight out of a movie, especially with the stunning ambiance of our ceremony location. From the very beginning, the process of choosing music through the company’s website was seamless. There were so many amazing song options to pick from, and we were so happy with our final selections. Hearing them come to life — especially on violin and harp — was beyond words. The musicians played so eloquently and gracefully, and their talent was unmatched. The music added a romantic, emotional, and elegant touch that elevated everything to a whole new level. Communication with the company was excellent. They were quick to respond, always friendly and accommodating, and remained professional and patient — even when unexpected weather challenges came up on the day of the wedding. They were flexible, understanding, and worked with us to make sure everything went smoothly. The quality of the performance was truly a 10 out of 10. Guests were completely blown away, and many told us how unforgettable and moving the ceremony music was. The transitions between songs were smooth and perfectly timed. “The short version of this review: if you want the music at your wedding to be awesome and exactly what YOU love to hear, and without cheesey emcee vibes, hire Marcus! Marcus did such an amazing job DJing our wedding, we couldn’t be more thrilled. He is extremely thoughtful with his work. He took careful note of my husband and my musical tastes and preferences, as well as the vibe of our wedding, instead of playing a standard tired playlist. Per our request, he blended in some Latin music seamlessly. The dance floor was full and lively all night long, exactly as we had hoped for! He played songs we hadn’t requested but that we love, leaving me wondering how he could have known so well what to play. He also respected our “do not play” list, as I found out multiple guests requested songs on it and he politely declined. Marcus is very thorough and organized which made working with him so easy- he was on top of all the details, order of events/cues, even reviewed proper name pronunciation with us in advance. The event manager at our venue said she loved working with him and was very impressed. Marcus has such a kind and warm personality, and a really special talent- we feel so lucky that he was part of our big day!”

“Golden Bells was PHENOMENAL! Marlon and the entire band absolutely crushed it at our wedding. Not only is every musician insanely talented, but Marlon curated the night perfectly -- easing in with oldies to get our parents and older guests moving, then seamlessly shifting into the EDM, pop, and Bay Area rap we love. It felt like the soundtrack of us, and everyone could feel that. One of the highlights of the night was when the band came onto the dance floor with drums, trumpet, guitar, and trombone -- and even let us drum in a bit. The energy was unbelievable. And Hava Nagila with a full live band? Unreal. The band/DJ fusion setup made the entire reception feel elevated, unique, and unforgettable. They're truly a one-of-one. We got so many compliments throughout the night and later about the music, the vibe, and the experience the band created. Everything ran smoothly -- from emceeing to sound to transitions -- and you can tell the quality of their equipment and professionalism is top-notch. We can't thank Marlon and the Golden Bells team enough for making our wedding feel like a celebration we'll never forget. Highly, highly recommend them!”

The DJ / instrumental fusion he offers brought the dance floor to the next level! Guests are still raving about the sax player, who played 2 songs for us during dinner and then stayed on the dance floor the entire night!
