“We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

“Words can’t express how much we loved working with Ana & Jimmy and the entire Amp DJ Band Hybrid. My husband really wanted a band while I really wanted a DJ, Amp DJ band was the perfect mix. We found Ana & Jimmy immediately and were able to schedule a meeting with them the next day. We knew right away that they were right for us. They were extremely attentive and outgoing from the start. They answered all out of questions and addressed concerns we had. We booked them immediately because we didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to work with them. We met with them several times through our 6 month planning process. They responded immediately to any questions that popped up along the way and even allowed us to make a last minute change the night before. They well exceeded our musical playlist, taking the songs we requested and tailoring the rest of the music to fit the vibe. There was a perfect mix of live songs and an awesome dj set. The amount of compliments my husband & I received about the band far exceeded anything we expected. All of our guests LOVED them (of course as did we). So many people reached out that night or the next day to say how impressed they were with Ana, Jimmy & the whole band. We also had an acoustic guitar player at our cocktail hour which was amazing. “Trecee was our DJ for our outdoor wedding reception, and he was amazing! My husband and I were originally going to just play music from our phone, but I’m glad that we found and hired Trecee instead! With no coordinator and last minute changes before and on the day of our wedding, Trecee remained professional, flexible, and fun as our DJ and MC! He followed our song cue list wonderfully, and helped us remix our first dance songs just how we planned. He made announcements we had set on the schedule as well as additional ones requested. He also made funny comments, which totally added to the vibes. His music choices were just what we were looking for, and even with a request by my family to switch to slower songs, he did it seamlessly; Fun, hyped songs for the younger crowd and romantic songs for the elders. He arrived about 45 minutes before his contract hours started to set up and even gave us (bridal party) warnings and updates on getting behind or on track of schedule! (Which is very helpful as, again, we didn’t have a coordinator.) Overall, he is a great DJ & MC, and my now husband and I would highly recommend his services!
