DJ Matt Bell and the WIDC are based on Whidbey Island and serve the greater Seattle and North Puget Sound region. Over the past few years, we've created 35+ celebrations where couples felt genuinely supported, their guests danced all night, and the energy matched their vision perfectly. With Matthew as lead DJ, Lee as our second, and a third joining soon, we're built to handle your day with expertise and care.
We see ourselves as part of your team, not just vendors. From day one, we overplan and support the preparation stage — talking through your vibe, the songs that matter, the moments you don't want missed. The date on my calendar costs $2,000 If you would like ceremony services I charge an extra $300 for the gear and preparation required. If I have to travel an extended distance there may be an additional charge.

So Grateful for DJ Matt Bell at Our Wedding
DJ Matt Bell was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first interaction, he was friendly, approachable and incredibly helpful as we figured out the vibe we wanted to create for our wedding. He created a customized edit of our wedding song that was absolutely beautiful. During our reception, he kept the dance floor going and was so flexible and adaptable, even smoothly navigating technical difficulties out of his control at our venue. Matt was our wedding DJ back in June but he contributed so much more to the event! Matt showed up right on time (early in fact) and came fully prepared with all the equipment and lighting for the tent to ensure the day ran smoothly. From start to finish, he made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. We had an amazing experience with The Whidbey Island DJ Collective and DJ Matt Bell. Prior to the wedding weekend, we walked the entire property together to discuss placement, flow and sound logistics since we had the ceremony and the toasts/dancing in two separate locations - both of which he covered seemlessly on the day of our wedding. Matt asked all the questions we hadn’t thought of yet ourselves :) even volunteering additional equipment to make logistics easier for the jazz band we hired. He took the time to build a thoughtful playlist that perfectly matched our preferred music styles and wove in song requests from our guests. The energy was fantastic, and the dance floor was always packed from moment we opened up the floor. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to keep the party going and make our special day even more memorable. We highly recommend you hire Matt and his team for your next event!

A wedding story
Let me paint you a picture. It's an outdoor wedding. It's our first wedding. We have no wedding planner or any idea what we are doing. Enter, DJ Matt. With his stellar wedding planning worksheet and all the questions for us we didn't know we had to think of. DJ Matt was absolutely wonderful to work with. From our first phone call I knew I wanted to book him. He is friendly, down to earth, and has impeccable taste in music. Even if we had had different music tastes, his years of experience in crowd reading will keep the dance floor full all night. Our dance floor after first dance never had less than 20 people on it at a time. He played a last requested song for our group who was very sad when the night came to an end. In addition to his wonder DJing skills, Matt also provided much needed MC service for us. He made sure the evening ran smoothly, and handled any uncertain moments we had not planned for with poise and grace. Thanks Matt for being such a a wonderful human being and DJ! You truly made our day so so special.

DJ Matt Bell was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first call, he was very straightforward and so incredibly sweet. We loved that they were a husband-wife team - it made us feel like we were in good hands. On the day of the wedding, they came fully equipped with all the gear and didn't require any involvement from us, which was a huge relief since the day was so crazy and hectic. They really honed in on what the crowd was enjoying and even played some Czech music at my request, which got everyone dancing, even people who didn't know the tunes. The music and energy they brought made our special day that much more memorable. We are so grateful for their professionalism and for helping make our wedding truly amazing!
