“The photographer, Jonathan, and his assistant, were absolutely amazing. They arrived early, were flexible and really accommodating to our vision. They also really hustled! They took advantage of every spare moment they had to get additional photos, and kept us on schedule super tightly. They even carried around things like bottles of water for me (the bride) as we took lots of photos in the hot upper floor of the venue. Many guests also mentioned how beautifully the photos turned out. However, we did have an issue in which, due to an injury to the editor's hand, we did not receive our photos in the agreed-upon timeframe. Had we been informed of this delay ahead of time, we would not have had any issue just waiting a bit longer. The main concern was that we weren't alerted of this delay until after the initial deadline had passed. We did request a discount due to this, which they accommodated. And the photos did still turn out amazing!”

“Maurissa was without a doubt the BEST DECISION we made for our wedding day! I literally cannot say enough good things to do her and her services justice. Even our whole wedding party and family that interacted with Maurissa throughout wedding day have also shared how awesome she was. She was fantastic from the moment we had our first introduction – she was so communicative and reassuring and worked with us to make sure we knew everything about Mind of Mo services prior to booking. That first impression is what helped us make our choice with booking her, and boy-oh-boy did she follow-through more than we could have imagined! Maurissa was also extremely patient with me - as a Type A Bride, I had sent her a lengthy list of desired photos prior to wedding day. I joked that it was a lot and she made me feel like it was totally normal. I know now that I never had to do this because her vision was magical - our favorite and featured photo is from our Sneak Peeks and was all her! What you want in a photographer is not only someone who will capture amazing photos, but also someone who will guide you through your wedding day. This is the person you will have the most interaction with all day long. Maurissa made the day fun, breezy, and even when we did have those anticipated mishaps occur (we knew there’d be at least one) she swooped in and literally saved the day. I am not being dramatic – my false eyelashes fell off not once but TWICE. The first time was right before my first look with my husband which caused a delay in our Timeline, and Maurissa flawlessly pivoted to make sure we stayed on track with time while they were re-glued onto my face. Then the second time the eyelashes came off, it was Maurissa herself who stepped up to the plate to make sure those babies were glued on right before I walked down the aisle. In this moment of panic for me, Maurissa had a confidence and calm demeanor that quickly put me at ease (and those eyelashes didn’t move again the whole night). On top of everything, our wedding was also on the far East side of Michigan, and Maurissa is based in Minnesota. We are extremely thankful that her services were offered at this distance! Our Sneak Peek photos are STUNNING and we are so excited to see the rest of them when they are ready!”

“We are extremely thankful for Erin! She came in as though we have been great friends for many years. She introduced herself and went right to work. She referred to the list we discussed of photos we wanted and added numerous additional suggestions that helped us to get some amazing wedding day photos. My husband is not one to show a lot of emotion on camera, but Erin ensured that we did actions that he was not focused on the camera, but just enjoying the moments which allowed us to catch some very beautiful and memorable wedding day photos. She took many different positions, areas, and lighting to ensure we were getting the best options despite the weather not cooperating on the day. “We hired Steven and his team to do our wedding photos and videography. I really wanted a photographer that could capture the soul of the event, and Steven did exactly that. His photos are full of life, and I shared so many portraits with guests that actually got printed out or posted online. If you're looking for hundreds of photos of your wedding party that look exactly the same and for every planned second to be documented, Steven is not your person. If you're looking to hit the big moments but focus on capturing raw moments with timeless photos to get framed, I couldn't recommend them more. I never thought I would get a wedding video because it always seemed cheesy to me. But after watching examples of his work I fell absolutely in love with his videos. I've honestly had a hard time watching ours because it evokes so much emotion. Steven was collaborative and willing to go with the flow. We gave him the difficult task of being prepared for 3 different locations with totally differing lighting (indoor/outdoor plus shooting from high sun into the night). He puts an immense amount of care into his work and the photos are truly art that we will cherish forever. If there are specific things you want covered, be sure to share a list. When it comes to capturing the moments that can't be planned, he is on the case!”

“WOW, where do I begin. Kasey and Tyler are masters at what they do! From two different engagement sessions to our wedding day, they knew exactly how to get the "perfect shot". Our wedding day came with a small amount of "conveniently timed" rain (during our first look and wedding party photos!), and they knew exactly how to work with what we had (a tall tree to hide under and an umbrella..). The attached photo was taken during a downpour rain and it STILL looks beautiful!! They were incredibly organized and all photos were pre-planned so they had a set plan in order to avoid wasting time. They listened to what my husband and I wanted, and made sure we were taking care of ourselves (eh-hem, reminding us to eat multiple times throughout the day..). They were so easy going but didn't have a problem putting their foot down if a random family member or other vendor were "problematic" (per the brides request!!). Our engagement photo day was a scorcher--95 degrees and pure sun!! But Dakota made the absolute best of it, even as we took breaks to cool down. Despite the sweat and crazy heat, our photos turned our magazine worthy--seriously stunning!! In the weeks leading up to the wedding she checked in almost daily, which was so reassuring. Her online website and questionnaire were very thorough and incredibly helpful. At one point, I even called her to vent about a difficult wedding situation (that had nothing to do with her), and she listened and reassured me through it all! She is truly a wedding industry professional!! On our wedding day, her presence was incredibly pleasant and everything flowed perfect. We fell a bit behind due to hair and makeup, and she continued to reassure me that we would be just fine. Her photography style is absolutely stunning, with great attention to detail that captured every important moment for us. We received our sneak peeks just a day or two after the wedding which was one of my favorite memories ever!!-- getting to reminisce on the stunning photos with my now husband on our first day of our honeymoon. It meant the world to us! The full gallery was delivered within the timeframe discussed in our contract as promised, I even had a few questions about different angles and additional photos and she delivered on all of my requests. Her gallery website was very easy to use and share. Overall we had a 1000/10 experience with having Dakota as our wedding photographer. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she is also so personable and was one of the best decisions and investments we have ever made! When it is your special day, you want to be surrounded by the absolute best, and that is Dakota!!”
