Prior to the wedding weekend, we walked the entire property together to discuss placement, flow and sound logistics since we had the ceremony and the toasts/dancing in two separate locations - both of which he covered seemlessly on the day of our wedding. Matt asked all the questions we hadn’t thought of yet ourselves :) even volunteering additional equipment to make logistics easier for the jazz band we hired. He took the time to build a thoughtful playlist that perfectly matched our preferred music styles and wove in song requests from our guests. The energy was fantastic, and the dance floor was always packed from moment we opened up the floor. My husband and I couldn’t find time to leave the dance floor because their compilations just flow from one to the next. My only regret was not having more time to chat with our guests for longer because we simply couldn’t peel ourselves off the dance floor. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. He was very attentive to our specific desires for genres to play, and he has a great app platform that allowed us to select specific songs and fill out our preferences for various aspects of his role. This made the process very easy and organized. He also spent time to (last-minute) mix and cut our mismatched procession songs to blend them seamlessly, taking a potentially ugly transition and making it beautiful! Another great advantage to working with Brian is the way he prices. He gives you one price and is available for the entire event. He set up outside for us and allowed us to use his mics and sound equipment for our ceremony at no additional cost. This saved us a lot of money and simplified the planning process for us as he ironed out those details for us. I am so grateful to Brian.
