Even my mother-in-law who doesn't dance did NOT sit down! I'm Lebanese and my husband is Israeli, so I had asked for help mixing songs to combine our cultures and then move into more western music. I'm still getting sooooo many compliments from our families on how we were able to combine our traditions and our music! And our guests LOST IT when they came out on the dance floor with their instruments and danced with us! I did this in lieu of a zaffet group because i wanted something more unique -- in lebanon a drumline would follow the bride and groom and dance/perform for guests -- and it was definitely the right choice!!! On top of their amazing performance, Marlon was **insanely helpful** both leading up to the day and on the day. I didn't have a wedding planner and was making last minute decisions/timeline changes myself the day of. I couldn't have done it so smoothly without Marlon being so helpful as an MC and being so willing to roll with it! He was absolutely fantastic!! “**Dr. Beat was absolutely incredible!** We had **Mike and Gene** as our DJ and MC, and they made our night unforgettable. From our very first phone call, we knew we’d made the right choice — they gave off great vibes, were professional, and truly delivered. Everything was perfect, from the rustic façade of the DJ booth to the cocktail hour playlist (which sounded like something we would’ve made ourselves) to the incredible reception music. They were honest, familiar with our venue (Toast in Patchogue), and never tried to upsell us. Mike took the time to go over our preferences beforehand, and he just *got it*. They understood the assignment and gave us a night we’ll never forget. The dance floor was packed the entire evening — not a single person left on the first shuttle because no one wanted to stop dancing, not even my 91-year-old grandma who stayed until the very end! They paid close attention to every detail — from our final dance song to the special tribute song for my brother and every request in between. Throughout the night, they checked in with us to make sure we were happy, seamlessly made announcements to gather guests for photos or speeches, and kept the energy high from start to finish. If you’re debating between hiring just a DJ or a DJ and MC — **get both!** It makes such a difference. The DJ can focus on mixing while the MC hypes up the crowd and keeps everything running smoothly. Our only “complaint” was that the dance floor was *too crowded* — exactly what we wanted! Cocktail hour was perfect — the volume, vibe, and timing were spot-on. Since they knew the layout of Toast, they easily set up music in a separate room with zero issues. The night flowed perfectly; there wasn’t a single awkward pause or song we wanted to skip. It was a nonstop party with amazing energy. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. If you’re reading this, stop comparing and **just book them** — you won’t regret it. And for anyone thinking a playlist and speaker could replace pros like this… trust me, you have no idea what you’d be missing. We’ve had countless guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and that they were on the dance floor all night — that’s entirely thanks to Mike and Gene. After some search, we hired Andrew to play our wedding from only a youtube video and it might have been the best decision we made for that day. Andrew was in contact with us throughout the almost 2 year delay (thanks, Covid) between booking and the event and gave us great recommendations on songs. We went into the wedding with zero playlists and just told him to play whatever - every song was perfect. We only had one requested song which he waited until we were outside to play, and it was great. Our guests still talk to us about the guitarist and how amazing cocktail hour was. Out of everything during the day, who knew the best part would be the first hour? Our biggest regret was not keeping him there for the entire day! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). He listened to every request we had leading up and I truly didn't think about a thing during the wedding day - he had our timeline completely under control and kept us on track (and if we were running behind I still have no idea because he's that good!!). The band is INCREDIBLE and had our guests on the dance floor all night!! I realized at the end of the night I never even changed out of my heels into my white sneakers because that would have meant leaving the dance floor. He was super communicative when we had questions, helped give us some advice, and *!!!even learned a new song just for us!!!* We had just attended a friends wedding and the music was super unrelatable to my fiance (husband now lol) and our friends. We were bummed and worried - hopeful that ours would be fun and get people out there! Ryan was AMAZING.
