Avon Hill is a laid back, luxurious wedding and vacation destination in central Virginia. We offer your choice of beautiful outdoor ceremony locations, a newly opened barn with all the modern conveniences, and lodging for up to 43 of your closest family and friends. Beautifully appointed bride and groom suites are included for your wedding and each wedding package is for a full weekend of property access.

Serre’s 70-acre grounds with breathtaking scenery, rustic meets modern barn that accommodates up to 200 guests, covered patio seating, custom-built farmhouse tables, luxurious décor, outdoor bar fire pit, and wedding coordinator to help plan it all will make sure your loved ones are not only comfortable; they’ll feel like it’s their special day, too. The luxurious bridal suite, hiking trails, outdoor yoga, fishing, wine by the firepit, and day-of bridal party brunch, our amenities, and extra touches are going to make you feel on top of the world. (And on top of the mountain.)

The venue can seat around 200 guests comfortably. The main space is a dream with beautiful white shiplap walls, gorgeous stained plank cathedral ceiling and lots of natural light. The main space is heated and cooled so you can be comfortable in any season. There is a covered porch that leads to a large flagstone patio with a white fireplace, this is a great space for rehearsal dinners or just an extension of the reception space. The bridal suite is in a separate building adjacent to the venue. Recently built in 2023, with nearly 800 sq feet you and your wedding party will have a comfortable space to enjoy the day. Finally, there is an open air chapel that can seat 200 guests comfortably. It has beautiful cathedral style windows in the front and back of the chapel and open arches on the sides. This chapel will make a great rain back up option for your wedding day or if you love it as much as we do, it can be a beautiful plan A option as well.

The Cellar Venue at Stardust Cellars is the perfect place to host your wedding or special event. Located in Wilkesboro, NC, in the heart of Appalachia, this biodynamic meadery and winery offers a unique experience with some of the finest traditionally crafted meads and wines in the country. With an “Old World European” vibe and mixed natural textures, The Cellar has 12 taps that vary in NC Craft Beers and the SDC brand of custom meads. The property is located on 18.6 acres, including a vineyard, festival grounds, dry camping, a 9-hole disc golf course, a garden, and our main venue building. The Cellar offers budget-friendly package options, plus a friendly staff that can accommodate both traditional and non-traditional events. High on a bluff towering over the James River, this exquisite Georgian Revival offers 16,000 square feet of opulence, built by Taylor and Parrish Construction from 1981-1987. This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. A Jeffersonian pool house with a hexagonal raised dome presides over a circular pool with bluestone terraces and a limestone balustrade. The 1820s farmhouse at Rubicon Farm is a charming centerpiece for the open grassy countryside acreage that surrounds the house. Called the Black-Cole House, it was updated in 2005 as a getaway for an active family that loves the outdoors. Now empty-nesters, the couple who owns Rubicon rents this special property out as a venue for an array of special events. Our Niche Turn-key packages at Rubicon Farm are our wedding niche. Our team customizes our couple’s vision of their wedding day, and we do all the set-up and coordination and take down. We plan and execute everything but the reception food and your choice of music, and if you need help choosing those, we are happy to make vendor suggestions.

Virginia Mountain Vineyards is located on 91 acres nestled between the Blue Ridge and Allehgeny Mountains with gorgeous mountain views. Venue has a beautiful vineyard arbor for wedding ceremonies and the ceremony walkway is a paver pathway lined with red rose bushes. A large tent on a paver patio is available for wedding receptions. The tent is lit with chandeliers and Edison lighting that can be heated or air conditioned and seats up to 250 guests.

Initially, the 62-acre Het Landhuis Estate was part of a 1,000-acre farm owned by the Henderson family who operated a tanyard in the area, making saddles and other leather items. One day a future bride drove past Het Landhuis; she stopped in the main driveway and asked if she could get married there. That conversation changed the course of the estate, and Het Landhuis had its Grand Opening in 2010. Het Landhuis is not your ordinary location for a wedding; this becomes obvious once you visit the grounds and look at the eight different venues the estate offers.
