Be a part of the start of something special as ONE OF THE FIRST to celebrate your wedding in our soon-to-be-completed event building, expanded tasting room and upgraded grounds. Create your perfect vineyard wedding in a lovely, quaint and serene setting among the rolling hills along the Hardware River. In the heart of Fluvanna County and just outside the adorable town of Scottsville, we are 30 minutes from Charlottesville and under an hour from Richmond.     I Would "I Do" Again at Hardware Hills!

    We loved having our wedding at Hardware Hills! The owners are welcoming and accommodating throughout the process. The pricing is reasonable and everything is done on the property (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). I ESPECIALLY recommend working with their wedding coordinator, Lori. Her expertise is unmatched and she knows the property and can provide suggestions.

    Beautiful venue

    Hardware Hills Vineyard was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was friendly, helpful, and informative throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself was beautiful, open, and welcoming - the perfect backdrop for our special day.     Best Day of My Life!

    I got married at Hardware Hills in March 2025. It was hands down the best day of my life and I couldn't have picked a better place to get married. My now husband and I toured the venue in the Fall of 2024 while the new event space was in the process of getting built. Lori was amazing at keeping me updated on the progress and the finished product turned out amazing. I enjoyed working with the entire Hardware Hills team and would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an event space. The bridal suite is so beautiful and easily accommodated my bridal part of 6 plus other members of my family that was getting ready there that day. The groom and his groomsmen enjoyed getting to relax at the cottage the morning of the wedding. Everything was so amazing! If you're looking for a wedding venue, definitely check this place out.

    The very best!

    Hardware Hills Vineyard was a fantastic choice for our sons wedding venue. Their team was very interactive and had great communication throughout the planning process, which made everything run smoothly. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with a stunning backdrop of the vineyard and a well-equipped prep kitchen that allowed our caterers to serve a delicious charcuterie spread. We couldn't have asked for a better location to celebrate their special day. Highly recommended! Lori is the best!

The venue itself is beautiful, with amazing views of the rolling hills and vineyards. They were incredibly accommodating, helping us customize the space to fit our vision. Our guests raved about the stunning scenery and the excellent service provided by the staff. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding celebration evening at Hardware Hills Vineyard.

Your special day is yours and yours alone! We are open for customers during our regular business hours, but the event space will not be booked more than once per day to allow you full access for setting up and getting ready.
A. In the event that the Client cancels the event more than one year prior to the event, the Client shall forfeit to Hardware Hills one-half of the received deposit. B. In the event that the Client cancels the event between 6 months and 1 year prior to the event, the Client shall forfeit to Hardware Hills the entire deposit. C. In the event that the Client cancels the event between 3 and 6 months of the event, the Client shall forfeit to Hardware Hills fifty percent (50%) of the rental amount. D. In the event the Client cancels in less than 3 months prior to the event, the Client shall forfeit to Hardware Hills the entire rental amount.
We are approximately 50 minutes from the Charlottesville airport, and about 1 hour 20 minutes from the Richmond airport. Three major airports in the Washington DC are are within 3 hours.
Yes, a Special Event Liability Insurance is required of all Clients and is due no later than thirty (30) days prior to your event.
The venue at Hardware Hills includes a full prep-kitchen for caterers, three restrooms, a wedding suite for getting ready with a full bathroom, make-up counter, and full-length mirrors, as well as second suite for changing and storing belongings. Hardware Hills will provide: • 150 wooden cross-back chairs for the ceremony/reception • 20 96-inch rectangular tables (seats 10-12) • 2 72-inch rectangular folding tables for gifts, cake, etc. If you have alternate preferences for furniture, you may secure rentals of such items with the approval of the Hardware Hills planning team. Linens, dinnerware, glassware, and utensils are not provided.
You may access the facility at 10 a.m. All guests, hosts, and vendors must be off the premisis by 11 p.m.
We require that all wine consumed be purchased from Hardware Hills. Outside alcohol may be brought in by aquiring a one day banquest license from the Virginia ABC (about $40). All alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender. Per ABC law, we cannot allow a self-serve bar.

Yes, we have 60 parking spaces nearest the tasting room. Overflow parking would be available along the roadside fenceline.
Yes, all our facility is wheelchair accessible. We also have a ramp at the back entrance.
The indoor event space is specked at 42x44 feet. This will accommodate up to 150 people seated. The outdoor pavilion/patio space is 48x48 feet to accommodate up to 160 people seated. Half of the outdoor pavilion space is covered with a roof.
If a floor plan is received from your wedding coordinator, all furnishing will be provided accordingly by our team. The venue must be returned to its original state upon your departure. All trash removal and personal belongings are the responsibility of the renter. Clean up is usually handled by the caterer.
Our indoor venue will provide protection from outside weather conditions. The porch and half of the patio pavilion will be under roof. Additionally, our tasting room space can be made available for guests during event transitions during inclement weather.
To reserve services on the date requested, Hardware Hills requires this contract by signed by the Client and an initial deposit payment of $1,000. A second payment of fifty percent (50%) of the balance is due six months prior to the event date. Payment of the remaining balance of the rental fee is due 30 days in advance of the event date. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Please note that a 3% fee will be assessed for any credit card payments.
Hardware Hills requires a professional, licensed caterer for any event. The caterer will be responsible for providing service and cleanup of the event venue. Homemade/potluck style food is not allowed. Hardware Hills is happy to provide a list of suggested caterers whom are proven to be reliable, insured, professional, and delicious!
Children can be a very special part of a wedding or similar ceremony. Children under the age of 18 are the complete responsibility of the Client and their guests. Children must be in close proximity to parents or guardians at all times.
We know that is important and special that your wedding has the décor and feel that you are striving for. We require that all decorations be approved by our event team prior to the event. We do not allow nails, tacks, staples, glue or tape to be used at our venue. No rice, birdseed, confetti, glitter or pyrotechnics may be used for the wedding or farewell reception. Bubbles and sparklers are permitted. Sparkler use must include a metal receptacle with water or sand for disposal. Sparklers may not be used within 100 feet of the vines.
