I’m Heather, an Annapolis wedding photographer serving Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia. My style is candid and documentary, focused on real moments, big feelings, and genuine connection. Less stiff posing, more movement, laughter, and personality. I work especially well with couples who think they’re awkward in photos—guiding when needed, then stepping back so you can be fully present. I’m also an approved vendor at the United States Naval Academy and experienced with the unique logistics of USNA weddings.     So easy to work with!

    Heather is so great to work with. We have before for Christmas Farm minis, and we’ll work with her again after our engagement and wedding photos. She’s so great at candids and prompting posed portraits so they come out looking natural. Her editing style is also so dreamy! She is easy to talk to & is really interested in your vision but is also able to handle directing if you’re not sure about what you want. She even has an add on for Polaroids that you get in an album that day, which is such a sweet touch! 10/10, would recommend!

    Talented, Professional, and So Fun!

    Heather was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From the start, she made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. We’re not natural in front of the camera, but she guided us in such a fun, relaxed way that everything felt effortless and authentic. On our wedding day, she was organized and brought the best energy. She’s not only incredibly talented, but also genuinely so fun to be around — which made a huge difference.     Amazing experience from start to finish!

    Jackalope was the first vendor we found and really set the tone for the wedding we wanted. Heather worked closely with us and communicated really well in terms of the shot list and schedule. She was super flexible and made it easy to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her candid style fit ours perfectly. We could be ourselves and she was there to capture it all. Highly recommend!

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

In my over 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted second shooter if you have one.
Every wedding day is different, and that’s exactly why I offer customizable wedding packages. From timelines and coverage needs to the overall vibe of your day, I take the time to understand what matters most to you so your photography experience feels intentional, flexible, and stress-free. You’re not fitting into a preset box—I’m building coverage around your story.
Most couples book their wedding photographer 9–15 months in advance, especially for popular dates and peak wedding season. Booking early helps ensure availability and gives us plenty of time to plan timelines, locations, and all the little details that make your day run smoothly and feel stress-free. But... if you are a more last minute individual, don't hesiatte to reach out! I might have your date free!
Your full wedding gallery will be delivered within 60–90 days of your wedding day. For couples who can’t wait to relive the magic, expedited editing is available as an add-on, along with a 50-image sneak peek delivered within 3 business days—so you can start celebrating and sharing right away.
RAW files are not delivered as part of your wedding gallery. These files are unfinished images that require professional editing to reflect my artistic vision, color work, and storytelling style. Most photographers do not release RAW files because they are not a final representation of the work you see in portfolios or galleries. Your delivered images are thoughtfully edited, high-resolution files that are ready to print, share, and enjoy as they were intended to be seen.
As a USNA-approved vendor, I’m able to photograph weddings on the Naval Academy grounds with ease and confidence. Knowing the base inside and out—from access points and restrictions to the best photo locations—means a smoother, stress-free experience and more time focused on capturing your day beautifully.
