“We worked with Sarah Rosier, proprietor of Sleeping Bee Designs, for our wedding in May 2025 at Attaboy Barrel House in Frederick, MD and the experience was absolutely fantastic! Without hesitation, we would recommend Sarah and her team to any couple getting married in the DMV area. Our wedding faced weather complications at the last minute, but because of Sarah’s planning, coordination, relationships with vendors, and upbeat attitude, the day turned out even better than we had dreamed! We met with Sarah for monthly planning sessions, and she was always willing to be flexible if we needed to reschedule or meet for longer than planned. We knew what general vibe we wanted for our wedding, but did not have a specific theme or vendors in mind. Based on her years of experience in the business, Sarah recommended 3-4 vendor options to us for each category that fit our vision and budget, and all of whom were used to working with one another and with Sarah, so they were able to pull off a flawless event! In the end, we made the final vendor decisions based on her recommendations, but her recommendations totally removed the guesswork for us. We never, ever felt as if we were being pushed in any one direction; rather, we always felt that Sarah had our best interests at heart. Sarah has a great memory and is very organized, so she helped keep us on track and made sure there were no loose ends. The master to-do list template she provided kept us on task and helped us break up larger tasks in a manageable way. She was also conscious of our budget throughout the process, foresaw logistical issues ahead of time to save us time and money, and helped suggest places where we could reasonably cut costs (as well as emphasizing to us which places required *not* cutting corners on cost to ensure a seamless event). One important value of hiring Sarah is her relationship with vendors in the area, and ability to communicate with them on the couple’s behalf. This made it so much easier to plan and saved us time. Sarah creates a detailed timeline for the wedding day and takes care of coordinating it with vendors and staff to ensure everyone is on task and on the same page about how the day will go. She was also excellent at communicating with our wedding party. Everything went so smoothly on the actual day! We also contracted with Sarah for our flowers/decor. We told Sarah we wanted to spend less money on this element and adhere to minimalist decoration, and Sarah identified a really fun and colorful approach using growlers, bunny tails, and candles. We loved the way it looked on the day! Finally, we were blown away by how Sarah handled the last minute challenges involved when the weather looked like it wouldn’t cooperate. We had planned to do our ceremony outdoors, but needed to make a rain call 48 hours in advance. Prior to the rain call, Sarah had already marshaled our vendors together to talk through contingencies, drafted an alternate schedule, and put together a decoration plan for our indoor ceremony location. We felt so taken care of and the extra effort helped make us feel comfortable with changing plans last minute. Our wedding party and family members even keep talking about how amazing she was to work with. Sarah is the best at what she does! Thank you, Sarah!”

I couldn’t have been happier with the results and be grateful to Margo and her team, especially since she had to work in a small space packed with very energetic and boisterous gals. “We are so so happy we chose Livvy to be our wedding videographer! She is the absolute sweetest and you can tell she loves her craft and loves working with couples to capture one of their happiest days. She offers a few things that really set her apart from other videographers that I have not seen before. The first is the "Love Story" shoot, where she meets the couple in advance of the wedding and interviews each person individually about their relationship and how they fell in love etc., then puts together a video that we shared with family and friends and posted on our wedding website! Livvy was generous enough to come all the way to our (last minute rescheduled) engagement photoshoot with our photographer to capture moments of that on video to include in the interview clips filmed right after the photoshoot. That also allowed her and our photographer to get to know each other before wedding day! The other cool thing Livvy offers is the Motion Books wedding video album which we are so excited to receive! It is essentially a book that when you open it, it has an electronic screen and starts playing your wedding video! We cannot wait to get it and put it on our coffee table for all of our guests (and ourselves) to easily re-experience the fun and beauty of the day. She also will be sending all of the raw unedited footage of the wedding which we cannot wait to see, and relive all parts of the day. Even with all of these extra special touches she includes in her packages, her prices are incredibly reasonable and provide an amazing value to what she offers. “Ostertag Vistas was the best choice for us. We are so grateful for Donna, the venue owner and her staff for a day we will never forget. The views were amazing, everywhere. The Barn was just what we were looking for, all of our friends and family loved it. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience. Donna was very professional, detail oriented, and super to work with. She gave us exactly what we asked for and everything we didn't know we needed. Terry, our Ostertag Wedding Coordinator, made perfect recommendations based on who we are, and filled in with so many details we didn't even know to ask about. The staff as well were extremely friendly and easy to work with from the Bartender to the Parking Attendants and especially the Wait Staff. After our wedding, our families and guests could not say enough good things about our wedding day at Ostertag. We had 120 guests and a wedding party of 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen. We had our ceremony at Fernwood, surrounded by gorgeous trees and a storybook brook, it was like a fairytale! We rented their arbor, and barn doors for the ceremony, perfect for making this space a magical dream come true. Our cocktail hour was on the Patio and our guests could also go into the Stable making this hour very spacious and inviting. When it was time for our reception, the staff escorted our guest to the main barn and helped our elderly grandparents with the escorted golf cart. The golf cart was also used to help our Grandparents get to the ceremony site and back to the cocktail hour, it was wonderful not to worry about how we would help them around that day. The main dining room in the Barn was setup by the Ostertag staff and when we entered, we were in ahh, everything looked amazing and just perfect. I will never forget our first dance. Our sweetheart table was setup in front of the fireplace, it was so intimate and just perfect! We provided the decor along with some Ostertag rentals, Terry and her staff placed it all together for the perfect setting. After dinner service, the staff moved our wedding cake to the middle of the dance floor for our formal cake cutting, they then sliced and served our cake to the guests as we danced the night away. The staff provided a perfect Coffee Station with Tea and Hot Chocolate for our guests to enjoy as well. Everything flowed well and as planned, and guests were easily able to move around and find everything. Again, I cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue was. The day of our wedding, I did not feel stressed or worried about any details coming together because I knew everything was prepared and being taken care of by Donna, Terry, and their capable staff. They gave us our dream day that my husband and I will never forget and will treasure forever.”

In her youth she dabbled in modeling. This taught her posing, angles and finding the light. She is a classically trained visual artist in many mediums. Through that she learned to understand human form. 15 years ago she opened a face and body painting business and added photography shortly after.

“Jon was highly recommended by our wedding planner (Lissa Marie Weddings and Events), and we immediately hired him after our initial meeting. It really says something when other vendors only have great things to say! He did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and really kepted everything flowing smoothly with no hiccups. Our ceremony sounds was absolutely perfect and the microphones were sooo easy to use and captured all the sound perfectly. Jon was great at making announcements, (even though it wasn't planned) like when he had to tell people to go to cocktail hour. We also had a photobooth package with him and the attendant did such a great job running the booth. It was definitely the most popular event and our families still raves about the pictures they took! From the moment we met Jon, he was just so easy to talk to and knew exactly what we wanted for the day when we shared our vision. Jon is so professional, supportive, and positive, and I can't imagine having someone else on our special day. He is definitely worth the money and I would hire him again without a doubt for any event!”

“Maryland National was the PERFECT venue for our wedding! From the very beginning, Reghan and the whole team were incredible. Reghan went above and beyond to help us plan everything – she was so easy to work with and always had the best recommendations. I loved how easy it was to communicate with her through email. We got married at our church, but had the reception at Maryland National. They even let us use the club to get ready since our church didn't have a space! The girls got ready upstairs, and the guys used the locker rooms, which was amazing for getting-ready photos. Plus, the food was delicious! What we loved most was that we didn't have to set up or clean up anything – Maryland National took care of it all. We didn't even have to take decorations home the night of the wedding! We could pick them up the next day. It was the most perfect day, and we can't thank Reghan and the staff enough. Seriously, if you're looking for an amazing venue, this is it!”
