Our experience with Walden, Krystle and Ally was amazing. From the very start they made it so easy to plan our dream destination wedding. It was magical. The Walden team is very organized and helped us stay on top of things. They were very accommodating and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. The food and drinks were incredible - everything was delicious and the portions were huge! 95% of our wedding guests do not live in Chicago, including us, and we have had so much feedback from our family and friends about how much they loved the entire wedding. From decision making to day-of, Krystle and Ally were there for us and answered any questions we had. I would 10000% recommend this venue to everyone looking.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at The Carter in June. From the moment we first toured The Carter up until a few days after our wedding, Chris (owner/operator) and the rest of The Carter staff went above and beyond for us. Chris was super responsive, so easy to work with, and created such an amazing vision for our day. Chris knows what is important to wedding guests and makes sure to prioritize those things - short lines for the bar, guests having a drink in their hand, food served quickly, etc. Everything about the space is perfect, the bridal suite is huge and has so much natural light. I got ready in the morning in the bridal suite and had 10 bridesmaids, my mom, 2 hair stylists, and 2 makeup artists in the space and there was plenty of room for all of us. Our hair stylists, makeup artists, and my bridesmaids raved about the bridal suite - definitely a huge perk of The Carter! The patio space is perfect for cocktail hour, I loved having that outdoor feature and so did our guests. The entrance/welcome space is stunning and such a great way to welcome guests into the space. The main reception area is so beautiful and has so much character with the brick walls and chandeliers that you need minimal decorations/florals which was a huge draw for me. The dance floor is big and fit our band along with all our guests. We were very fortunate to have a perfect 70 degree day so the garage doors were open throughout the entire cocktail hour and reception which was amazing. Literally, every single guest of ours raved about the space. I could go on and on about how amazing it is!! There is also parking easily available which is very rare for wedding venues in the city. We were also surprised the day of our wedding when they let us up onto the roof to get some fun golden hour shots. We had no idea they had roof space that was accessible for that type of pictures! I can't say enough about the staff at The Carter. I already mentioned how great Chris is. Stefan was a newer addition to The Carter staff and we were fortunate to work with him in the last week leading up to our wedding. He was there to let us drop off stuff a few days prior to the wedding and he had everything organized for us. The day of the wedding, Stefan was making sure our drinks for the bridal suite were on ice, he made sure trash was cleaned up, and would continually check on us to see if we needed anything. He told me, "you're not lifting a finger today" and me and my bridesmaids were so appreciative of everything he did for us. At the cocktail hour and reception, the servers and bartenders were great. Food came out quickly and there were no issues. Stefan was even sweet enough to let us leave some stuff after the reception and my friend came by to get the rest of it on Monday. Moral of the story is The Carter is hands down the best and really wants to make your wedding day perfect for you. Our day was literally perfection and we have The Carter to thank for that!

We just had our wedding at Formento’s and were *amazed* by the space, food, service, vibes and overall experience. We were shocked they can fit 120 people for a wedding (or even 130 if you’re okay getting a bit cozy)—and we were so thrilled we could have a larger guest list *and* restaurant-quality (very quality!!) food and drink. Don’t pay to rent a space and bring in meh food. Have your wedding at Formento’s you will never regret it!! Their events team is immaculate: India, Karen, Julie, and so many more, and it felt like everyone from the events team to the service staff were celebrating with us. Simply the best. We’ll be back for every anniversary

We had the most beautiful wedding at WildmanBT - Michelle was super easy to work with and we loved the optional and available upgrades. We had a group of approx. 210, large stage props, a band, 2 food trucks, and large dance floor. We were worried about finding a venue that'd be able to fit all our people and specs but WildmanBT more than surpassed our expectations. It's the perfect mix of industrial and chic - we had highly personalized touches and wanted to be in the weeds on most decisions, which WildmanBT and our coordinator graciously accommodated for. WildmanBT was also a top choice for it's more square than rectangle shape which meant more people could watch the dancing from their seats and the bridal suite was top notch. The location is ideal given it's close to Fulton Market where we had our rehearsal dinner and hotel block for guests.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Arbory as a wedding venue. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were blown away by the modern jungalow vibes and stunning surroundings. The space is so beautiful and full of living plants that helped us stretch our floral budget while still creating a gorgeous blossoming space! The team at The Arbory was incredibly accommodating and flexible, allowing us to set up the space exactly as we envisioned for our special day. The bridal suite is amazing and provided a great space for us as a couple to step away and connect throughout the nice. I would also note that we loved the built-in photo/video booth! One of the most impressive moments was when they seamlessly flipped the ceremony space into the reception area, quickly and stealthily. It was truly a magical transformation. And I have to give a special shoutout to Shay, who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect and that we were happy. The Arbory truly exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect backdrop for our dream wedding. Thank you to the entire team for making our day so unforgettable. I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the reception, the appetizers/ hors-d’oeuvre was excellent. The open bar and the wine selection made a difference for those who attended. For the friends of my daughters, AVEC was one of the restaurant that they envied to dine at and the second floor atmosphere made it a unique experience. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. As a Japanese we are used to high quality personalized services but AVEC in the West Loop is in our mind belongs in the top league worldwide. Our experience with The Blackstone was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone considering their wedding here. It was the first venue we toured and it completely set the bar. The ballroom is stunning and we found ourselves comparing every other venue to it. Nothing else compared. Carly was so great to work with throughout the entire process. She kept us organized, answered all of our questions, and made everything feel smooth and stress free. On the wedding day, the team executed everything perfectly. Even with a full room flip between our ceremony and reception in the ballroom, the day flowed and stayed right on schedule. We felt the value was very reasonable for everything included. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. The bridal suite was also a special highlight for us. It was so huge and one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in. Our guests loved their rooms too, and the pricing for our wedding block was great. We had all of our guests stay at The Blackstone and did not need to consider any secondary block elsewhere. If we could do it all over again we would choose the Blackstone every time

CAA was the perfect wedding venue. From the very beginning through after our wedding, every part of our experience was flawless. Hannah and the team were outstanding. She was hyper-communicative from start to finish, answered all our questions, and thought of every detail before we did. She worked with our planner and all vendors to ensure everything was seamless. We didn’t hear about a single issue all day. Hannah is a rockstar. Our guests raved about the food (the baked potatoes and late-night shake shack were huge hits) and level of service (like synchronized dinner service). A number of our guests even said they had never experienced a wedding/venue with such a flawless flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner. There was never any awkward “now where do we go?” moments for our guests because CAA has the experience down to an art. Fireworks over Navy Pier were a perfect capstone to the evening. We can’t say enough good things about CAA and can’t wait to attend more events in our favorite place.

Planning an Indian wedding in Chicago — with 700 to 1,000 guests — felt overwhelming at first. We knew we needed a venue that wasn’t just beautiful, but one that truly understood the scale, the culture, and the heart behind a celebration like ours. After searching everywhere, we found the Sheraton Grand on the River… and it ended up being everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we walked in, we felt supported. Vince was one of the first people we worked with, and he made such a difference. When we ran into a small issue with our room blocks, he handled it with so much kindness and patience. It wasn’t just “good service” — it felt like someone genuinely looking out for us during one of the most stressful parts of planning. Behind the scenes, Lisa was our quiet hero. Coordinating with third‑party vendors — especially our own caterers — can be complicated, but she managed it all seamlessly. Knowing she was on top of every detail gave us so much peace of mind. We never had to worry about whether things were being handled; she made sure everything just worked. The venue itself was magical. We split our reception into a cocktail hour and a sit‑down dinner, and the flow couldn’t have been more perfect. The Riverwalk during Labor Day weekend felt like something out of a movie — the views, the energy, the breeze off the water. It created such a joyful start to the evening. And when we stepped into the reception hall… it took our breath away. With the décor in place, it felt grand, elegant, and full of warmth. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything looked. Looking back, choosing the Sheraton Grand was one of the best decisions we made. They didn’t just give us a venue — they gave us a team that cared, a space that elevated our traditions, and a wedding day we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

Our wedding at the Allerton Hotel far and away surpassed our expectations. When my fiancé and I first started touring wedding venues, we had a little bit of sticker shock (we were planning and paying for it all on our own). We knew when looking at venues that we wanted somewhere that was budget conscious, warm and welcoming, and spoke for itself. Tying in the budget again, we wanted a venue that didn’t need to be glitzed or glammed up to look beautiful; we were looking for Minimalistic but Grand. The Allerton checked all of these boxes for us. Upon setting up a tour, we had the honor of meeting the amazing team behind the scenes of throwing the stunning weddings I had seen on Instagram. Kristin Johansson, Michael Wallace, and Felipe Herrera were the faces that immediately made us feel at home, feel understood, and prioritized. These three worked with us endlessly making sure we were organized, informed, and financially in a good place. After Kristin left the Allerton, we had the pleasure of meeting and working with Amaralys Addarich. We were able to get so excited for the big day working with her for our tasting and putting together other organizational details. Even during times of transition and change at the hotel, we never once felt neglected or alone. Communication was always a priority and we are forever grateful for that. For the last 4 months of our wedding planning process, we had the utmost honor to work with and adore Christina Farias and Mina Chu. These two worked seamlessly behind the scenes making sure everything was on track for us and when there was a blunder with my seating chart on the day of, they were there to handle it with grace and ease to the point that I had no idea anything even happened. The Allerton was everything that we could have hoped for and more - not only with how stunning the venue is or how delicious the food was, but we got to get close to a team we now consider to be like family. Christina, Felipe, Michael, and Mina are the absolute rockstar dream team for weddings and making wedding planning as easy as possible. They were there for all of the millions of questions that I posed, there for the best suggestions, and there with the coolest and calmest demeanor on the day of that helped us feel at ease. Looking back on our wedding day, we are just overall blessed that we could host our wedding at the Allerton Tip Top Tap Ballroom and cannot wait to show our kids the place where we had one of the best days of our lives. With this team, you will not only have the best wedding possible, but you will gain friends, peace of mind, and a new place that feels like home. We love you, Allerton Team!!

Royal Palms has always held a special place in our hearts. At the beginning of our relationship, I joined a league with my now-husband’s best friends. Shuffleboard (and Shuffleboard Bobs) brought us together, and they welcomed me into the group. We were league regulars and made some great memories, even though we rarely won a game. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted an untraditional wedding experience and were so excited that Royal Palms was willing to host us - their first wedding! Their events coordinator, Taylor, was just as enthusiastic and worked closely with us to plan an incredible event. We walked down a shuffleboard aisle on the roof while the Blue Line passed behind us, making for some incredible photos. Captain Scott gave our guests tutorials while they ate Big Star tacos from a truck and drank amazing cocktails. The energy was incredible, and it meant the world to us to see our families and friends connecting over rounds of shuffleboard. Hosting was easy - the space is already so beautiful that we did not bring in any decorations! No flowers or linens needed. Catering from a food truck was fun and unique. The photo station was fully stocked with props. The AV equipment was ready for a DJ and we kept our custom playlist bumping all night. The bartenders kept energy high and drinks flowing all night (truly the best bar in the city, in my opinion!). We danced and ate and played for hours. Our guests still talk about this night to this day. It was a party to remember, which is exactly what we wanted. Even better than the wonderful memories, pictures, and stories is the fact that we can go back whenever we want to relive the night. Even after two kids, we still make a point of playing a round of shuffleboard every year on our anniversary - it will be 6 years this fall! We cannot thank the Royal Palms staff enough for working with us. They are high-energy and fun, and they are also professional and take their clients’ experience very seriously. You would never know ours was their first wedding - they had every single detail covered, resulting in a seamless night. I look back on that night with nothing but happy memories. I wouldn’t change a single thing!

Café Brauer was my absolute dream venue, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. It meant so much to feel like someone genuinely cared about our day through it all. We also used Café Brauer’s in-house caterer, Tigerlily, and the compliments haven’t stopped rolling in.
