Astoria Banquets and Events Venue was an ABSOLUTE DREAM to work with for our wedding. All through the planning process, their communication was incredibly responsive, reassuring, and detailed. The venue itself is truly glamorous and elegant, yet versatile enough to suit any couple's style. The bartenders, wait staff, and coordinators provided incredible service, ensuring we didn't have to worry about a single thing on our special day. In fact, Max at Astoria was better than any wedding planner we could have hired. For brides with a desire for minimal planning and a tight budget, we highly recommend considering Astoria, especially if booking in the off-season or on a Friday or Sunday. We got married at Astoria on a Sunday in February, and the price per person was a steal, especially since the venue included everything we needed aside from a DJ and photographer. Overall, Astoria Banquets and Events Venue provided us with the most beautiful wedding, all while keeping us well under budget. We are so grateful for their outstanding service and beautiful venue!!

We had an amazing experience with the Sculpture Garden at Bridgeport Art Center. We started our process with Claire who was super accommodating with a last minute Friday evening tour to accommodate my work schedule, once we booked we worked with Eleanor who was also wonderful. Communication with both was timely and efficient and they were super patient with all my questions! The space itself was stunning, guests are still commenting on it a month later! For us it was awesome to have an “outdoor wedding” that didn’t need a rain plan due to the cover on the ceremony space. You felt like you were outside with more of the comforts of an inside space, and the pictures turned out amazing with the natural light, tall ceilings and chandeliers! The indoor space is just as lovely and the night flowed beautifully thanks to the venue team!

Lacuna Lofts is unlike any wedding venue we have seen, and we are so glad that we were able to have our wedding there. The skydeck is our favorite part, with that insane view of the city. I was not prepared for that moment when I was walking down the aisle, with all of the people that I love staring back at me, and that beautiful skyline in the background. The inside is even more unique! We loved the artwork mixed in with the warehouse, and were able to get some great pictures beforehand with the bridal party inside the building. I have never seen any other space like this, and our guests absolutely loved the food quality and the service. It was an excellently executed party, with no line at the bar and constant attention from the staff. We couldn't have asked for a better night!

100% would recommend Walden for a stress-free wedding experience!!! We knew Walden was our venue when we read about their full-service wedding packages including planners, kitchen/bar all under one roof. After we toured the venue, we could not wait to have our wedding here. Our main planners were Hannah and Briscel, and we had the pleasure of a 3rd planner, Ally with a last-minute day-of staffing change. Hannah and Briscel took the stress out of wedding planning, keeping us on track with every detail and vendor. Ally made sure the wedding day ran seamlessly. One of the best things we loved about working with the planners was their recommendations for local vendors (floral, DJ, photography etc.). Their assistance contacting and coordinating calls/quotes from vendors was also a huge help. Every possible detail regarding the wedding was accounted for, so we were certain nothing would be missed along the way. Now for the fun part, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and better than we ever dreamt. The coordinators kept us on schedule and sent an itinerary in advance, so everyone knew where to be and what was coming up next. They handled all of the communication with vendors and all the little details, so we could fully be present on our wedding day. We did not have any moments of stress, or panic, and was rarely asked any questions or to do any tasks. The Walden team set everything up for us from the welcome sign to the memorial table and of course the gorgeous reception room. It’s like suddenly we got teleported into our Pinterest vision board! A big shout out to Nick and Matt, the kitchen and bar staff. They were absolutely amazing! The drinks were awesome, the bartenders could make any drink guests wanted including mocktails. The food was incredible, so many guests complimented on how delicious their meals were. We also really appreciated their accommodations for various food restrictions and preferences. Overall, the Walden staff has truly thought of everything. They made the very daunting task of planning a wedding much more manageable, and made the whole day that much more special. Could not think of a better venue in the area for folks planning a wedding!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at The Carter in June. From the moment we first toured The Carter up until a few days after our wedding, Chris (owner/operator) and the rest of The Carter staff went above and beyond for us. Chris was super responsive, so easy to work with, and created such an amazing vision for our day. Chris knows what is important to wedding guests and makes sure to prioritize those things - short lines for the bar, guests having a drink in their hand, food served quickly, etc. Everything about the space is perfect, the bridal suite is huge and has so much natural light. I got ready in the morning in the bridal suite and had 10 bridesmaids, my mom, 2 hair stylists, and 2 makeup artists in the space and there was plenty of room for all of us. Our hair stylists, makeup artists, and my bridesmaids raved about the bridal suite - definitely a huge perk of The Carter! The patio space is perfect for cocktail hour, I loved having that outdoor feature and so did our guests. The entrance/welcome space is stunning and such a great way to welcome guests into the space. The main reception area is so beautiful and has so much character with the brick walls and chandeliers that you need minimal decorations/florals which was a huge draw for me. The dance floor is big and fit our band along with all our guests. We were very fortunate to have a perfect 70 degree day so the garage doors were open throughout the entire cocktail hour and reception which was amazing. Literally, every single guest of ours raved about the space. I could go on and on about how amazing it is!! There is also parking easily available which is very rare for wedding venues in the city. We were also surprised the day of our wedding when they let us up onto the roof to get some fun golden hour shots. We had no idea they had roof space that was accessible for that type of pictures! I can't say enough about the staff at The Carter. I already mentioned how great Chris is. Stefan was a newer addition to The Carter staff and we were fortunate to work with him in the last week leading up to our wedding. He was there to let us drop off stuff a few days prior to the wedding and he had everything organized for us. The day of the wedding, Stefan was making sure our drinks for the bridal suite were on ice, he made sure trash was cleaned up, and would continually check on us to see if we needed anything. He told me, "you're not lifting a finger today" and me and my bridesmaids were so appreciative of everything he did for us. At the cocktail hour and reception, the servers and bartenders were great. Food came out quickly and there were no issues. Stefan was even sweet enough to let us leave some stuff after the reception and my friend came by to get the rest of it on Monday. Moral of the story is The Carter is hands down the best and really wants to make your wedding day perfect for you. Our day was literally perfection and we have The Carter to thank for that!

Loft on Lake (LoL) was the perfect venue for our wedding. We had 120 guests and held the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. It was just the right amount of space for a large amount of guests to enjoy themselves while keeping and intimate vibe. We worked with Art of Imagination (AoI) to decorate the space. AoI has a strong relationship with LoL and that really came through in the execution of the day-of look. We also worked with Jill Garrett (Venue Director at LoL) as a day-of coordinator. She was flexible and calm throughout all stages of planning, easing all our worries leading up to the event. On the actual wedding day she took care of everything without me even being aware. It really helped us to be present in the moment without worrying about transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We were so happy with how everything turned out and highly recommend LoL and Jill!

I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the reception, the appetizers/ hors-d’oeuvre was excellent. The open bar and the wine selection made a difference for those who attended. For the friends of my daughters, AVEC was one of the restaurant that they envied to dine at and the second floor atmosphere made it a unique experience. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. Lisa ensured she understood what our vision was by asking thorough and detailed questions. She went above and beyond contacting our venue and all necessary vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. If there was ever an issue, she solved it without worrying us. And the day of our wedding, several of our guests informed us how amazing her and her teams’ service, professionalism, and how invested she is… not to mention how delicious all the food was, requiring seconds and thirds!!! There aren’t enough words to explain how phenomenal Lisa and her team are and how if it weren’t for Lisa, we wouldn’t have had the wedding of our dreams come true.

We found Sepia Private Dining and it was the perfect venue for our small wedding (50 guests). The Sepia staff did almost everything to make my wedding everything I wanted. The mirror on the wall and the decor matched our vibe. We had one set-up for the ceremony, then the guests had appetizers (we left to take pictures) and they changed the set-up for dinner and then moved a couple of tables for dancing later. I did not have a wedding planner and they made everything easy, from planning the menu to the set-up it was a stress free day! I would strongly recommend Sepia Private Dining for all of your smaller events.

So, let me talk about the people behind the location. Their team is attentive to both clients and vendors. They make working at this location a dream for the vendors, which lets us (vendors) focus on making the clients dreams come true. This location is fun, elegant, modern, and a must book! The food and drinks are delightful as well. We love the team and I promise, you will too!

We had our wedding and reception at the Sky-Line Club. It was a truly magical day for us and our guests. I can't begin to thank the staff at the Sky-Line Club for all they did for us throughout the entire day. The wedding was on the outdoor terrace with breathtaking views of the city. The menu that they helped create was absolutely delicious. Our guests kept going back to all of the food stations, making sure they had sampled every item on the menu. The staff made all of our guest feel at home, even though the majority were from out of town. Being able to go out on the terrace during the evening reception allowed our guests to experience the beautiful Chicago skyline and get some air in between dances.
