Homer, MI
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $1,800

We began our journey in 2015 with a dusty gravel pit and vision for a new home. The gem was the stunning 30 acre crystal clear lake. After purchasing the property we found ourselves hosting church activities and work functions as people truly loved being here. Slowly, we began adding amenities to the property. In 2020 one of our daughters got engaged. As she began looking for a venue to host her wedding we came to realize that the perfect spot was right in front of us. We wanted it to be a very special place and we went to work to create a beautiful wedding venue. There are many opportunities on the property for one of a kind pictures. There are two picturesque options in front of the lake for the service and a new reception building that can seat up to 200 guests. With a 5 acre campus larger weddings can be accommodated with tent rental.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Natural elegance with open spaces

We had an impeccably amazing experience with the Clark’s and their venue for our daughter’s wedding. From the first time we met them, Todd and Tammy were gracious, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with. They are an amazing Christian couple who shares their beautiful property selflessly with others. They ensured we had everything we needed and that all of our questions were answered. They were reliable, kind and helpful every step of the way up until we left the premises after everything was over. The venue is so peaceful and beautiful, a perfect place to experience the joy, hope and love that weddings are all about. Highly recommend The Clark’s Lakeside!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!

I could not have envisioned a more perfect place for our wedding reception than Stonebridge. This is a stunning venue! We had our reception at Stonebridge on Friday, 5/31/24. Kim helped us coordinate everything from the beginning and made everything so easy. Stonebridge is great because it includes catering, lots of decor, and ceremony too, though we had our ceremony elsewhere. Having catering through the venue made it that much easier because we didn't have to look for another vendor for this. The outdoor cocktail hour space was beautiful and perfect. Having the outdoor tiki bar in addition to the indoor bar helped move the line along. We had buffet style dinner, and we got so many compliments on our food. The garlic mashed potatoes and bronzed salmon with capers were the clear winners, but everything was so good. The event managers of the day, Sarah and Hannah, were amazing. They checked in on my husband and I frequently to make sure we always had what we needed, and brought us so much peace of mind! If anything went wrong, I don't know about it, because they along with Kim ensured that everything was taken care of. All decorations supplied by Stonebridge were set up and taken down for us at no extra cost, but we also opted to pay a little extra to have Stonebridge's staff clean up the decorations that we brought, which eased a lot of the burden on our families. This was 100% worth every penny. Everything got cleaned up that night and they took great care of our things so nothing was damaged. They also assisted in setting up our donut table shown in one of the attached photos! Pictures don't do this beautiful place justice but hopefully you can get an idea :)

We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our special weekend. From the moment we reached out, the communication was outstanding—proactive, super responsive, and full of clear instructions that made planning a breeze. Every question we had was answered quickly, and they even provided great recommendations for local vendors, which made everything so much easier. The space itself is absolutely beautiful—warm, inviting, and versatile enough to fit any vision. Whether you want something rustic or more modern, you can truly make it your own. We loved the thoughtful design of the barn—it had everything we needed and more. The layout was perfect for our group of about 50, and we appreciated how seamlessly everything flowed from the main space to the outdoor area. What made it extra special was the option to rent the adjoining Airbnb, which comfortably housed our core group of 12 people. It was perfect for hosting everyone in one place, turning our event into a full weekend celebration. Between the barn and the house, we had plenty of space for everything—from prep to late-night gatherings. It felt like a mini retreat! This venue really stands out not only because of the stunning setting but also because of the attention to detail and the incredible support from the team. If you’re looking for a charming, character-filled spot to host a tight-knit group for a special occasion, this is it. Highly recommend!

Amanda was always checking in with us from the time we first visited the venue until we were cleaning up the morning after the ceremony and helped us every step of the way. She kept us up to date on any offerings they had available and was quick to offer additional services if she felt it would make the day better. A great blank canvas venue! The staff is very accommodating and allow you to bring in vendors of your choosing. They were very helpful and always available for a phone call/meeting to go over logistics. It’s also a huge space that was great for my 200 person ceremony and reception. Definitely would recommend at least getting a day of coordinator because the venue does not come with anything other than tables and chairs, so setup is a big task. I absolutely loved how our wedding turned out and we got so many compliments about how unique the venue was from our guests!

We had about 150 and there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out if they wanted too. Plent of room for parking. Mandi and Andy are amazing to work with. The communication was great. They helped with everything they could and even did tractor rides to get to different sites for pictures around the lake and let us have a bonfire in the evening. I am forever grateful that they allowed us to use their property. I still, a year later, get compliments on the wedding and half the time, it is a compliment to the venue. Lifepoint Chapel

Lifepoint Chapel was built shortly after the end of the Civil War in 1869, and its earliest features have endured: 19th-century windows, white pine flooring, ornamental ceilings, and even the original church bell! This chapel seats 120 guests, along with beautiful amenities for your wedding party. We believe it’s not just about the wedding, but about the legacy your marriage will create. It would be an honor to be a part of the beginning of your story.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Classic, vintage atmosphere
  • Dressing room available

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
  • Dance floor not included

Lifepoint Chapel was the perfect venue to hold our ceremony. From the very beginning, we had a wonderful feeling. Our tour of the chapel was beautiful. The large windows on either side create an enchanting ambiance during your “I do’s” and showcase the couple, as well as the bridal party. The pricing is very affordable compared to other vendors in the area, and this place is great if you’re looking to just have your ceremony there, or they do have a reception space as well as suites and bathrooms. The bridal and grooms suites were the perfect size, have decor and furniture that look great in pictures, and help you feel comfortable during your big day. The communication from the venue coordinator as well as the day of coordinator, officiant and sound technician were nothing short of amazing. Wonderful, kind people who are not only there for their job but actually care about the people, and help you along the way with any and all questions you may have. They make sure down to the details that your day is absolutely perfect, and ours was! Chrissy was great in communicating via email all of the details of our booking, and helped with questions. Jim, our day of coordinator, understood when we had car troubles the night of the rehearsal, and waited to start until we got there, but entertained our bridal party and family. He helped make a stressful night a relaxing one, and not worrying about the wedding day. Our officiant, Dale, made sure that our vows were pristine, and said and did exactly what we wanted. The sound tech was given super detailed instructions with our first kiss as a couple, and he nailed it!! All of the songs that were played were played perfectly. Overall, every person we talked to or met in this process was nothing short of kind, professional, friendly, personal, and very supportive. We couldn’t recommend a better venue that is just full of good people, views, aesthetics, and affordability.

You could not have gotten a more perfect outdoor, lake wedding style for the price they offer. We added drapery that enhanced the magical experience but it could also do without it. The lake was stunning and I can't even believe how beautiful the sunset looked across the lake. The nearby photo backdrops were also stunning! whichever direction you faced, the backdrop was amazing. We were in one location but the photos felt like we were in 10 different locations which brought different experiences in the photos. The staff at Waldenwoods was truly helpful on the day of our wedding. They made us our own plates and got us drinks so we didn't have to go through the buffet. Before the ceremony, they hid me away as the bride so no one would see me before the walk down the aisle. They got me a chair and kept me hydrated in the reception area. They were so thoughtful and really cared about my experience as a bride! I highly recommend Waldenwoods Resort for a stress-free wedding day. They think of everything and will do what they can to help you or give you confidence for your special day. S/O Jaiden for our gorgeous photos - insta: japhotographytn

Irish Hills Wedding Barn
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Brooklyn, MI
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Built-in 1848, the wedding barn was originally a working farm, used as a hay and milking barn on the Briggs family 500-acre farm. Once the family moved on, however, the property slowly fell into disrepair, including the barn. Luckily, right away Joel had an amazing vision for what could be the ideal spot, he saw the potential like no other for a unique Irish Hills Wedding location and was happy to buy the property in 2017. Since then, many hours and much effort have gone into creating the perfect space for weddings. As one of Michigan’s Premier Wedding Venues, this venue is a great choice!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Flexible event spaces
  • Has a relaxed and casual vibe

Venue considerations

  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Requires outside catering services
We had our wedding at the Irish Hills Wedding Barn and could not have been happier with the experience. From the moment we first reached out, the staff were fast, informative, and sincere in their communication - they were truly eager to help make our day special. The venue itself is amazing, with a beautiful rustic and unique barn setting that helped make our wedding day so very special. The staff were around all day, pleasant and upbeat, and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly with no hiccups. The DJ and officiant they suggested were also incredible, and all of the vendors they recommended turned out great. We couldn't have asked for anything more, and are so grateful to the Irish Hills Wedding Barn team for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect.
