Historic mansion providing an intimate setting.

The Historic Alger House is available for intimate weddings of up to 70 guests or can be rented as an extension for cocktail hour. Within the space lie three enchanting, seamlessly connected rooms, the Reception Room, Dining Room, and Library; each adorned with hand carved moldings, intricate ceiling artwork, grand stone fireplaces, and elegant French doors that open to the sweeping back lawn overlooking Lake St. Clair.

Perfectly situated overlooking Lake St. Clair, our historic lawn and gardens are the centerpiece of The Moorings. The lawn is an ideal setting for ceremonies or an alfresco cocktail hour. Our lawn is equipped with power and we provide classic white folding chairs for up to 400 guests.
