Peterson's Patch, LLC
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Canterbury, CT

Your wedding flowers should do more than decorate a space—they should tell your story. At Peterson's Patch, I create nature-inspired floral designs that evoke emotion and transform meaningful moments into unforgettable memories. Every couple deserves to feel supported, understood, and confident that their vision is in trusted hands. My goal is simple: create flowers that make you feel something long after your wedding day has passed.

Tara did such a beautiful job on our wedding florals - I seriously can't recommend her enough! She was so great to work with from start to finish. She completely understood our vision, and she created something even more beautiful with her arrangements than I could even imagine. Her beautiful centerpiece arrangements really elevated our guest tables, and I didn't want to let go of my bouquet the entire day. I can't thank her enough for her beautiful work, and how incredibly accommodating she was the week of our wedding.

Painted Gardens
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
Canterbury, CT

Welcome to Painted Gardens! Shannon, who is often hidden behind a big bouquet of flowers, is the owner and head designer of PG. Although her background is as a mixed media artist, She has always worked in horticulture and is proud to be a first generation farmer alongside her husband Justin. Her experience as a grower made floristry a natural, artistic progression. Since opening PG, her passion has evolved into distinctive, unique, eclectic, garden style designs. Painted Gardens would not be possible without her husband Justin's support and hard work taking care of our farm. Dream team since 2015!

Shannon is the very best! As a vendor and client I have seen both sides of her business and she is truly amazing at what she does! She did the florals for my sister’s wedding and nailed my sister’s vision to a T! She is also the most genuinely friendly person and so down to earth! Her team is amazing too! Her creativity and eye for floral arrangements is impeccable and I highly recommend Painted Gardens to anyone!!

Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Jen is incredible and worth every penny! My husband and I weren't very sure about how we wanted our wedding florals to look. We also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would only last a day. We stumbled upon wood flowers and discovered Wood and Word Blooms! Working with Jen was wonderful and seamless. She helps you every step of the way to figure out what you would like. The DIY class was so much fun, and we were able to build all of our centerpieces, boutonnières, and bouquets. Jen also built my cascade bouquet and beautiful garland for us! Everything came out so beautifully and was perfect for our day. Thank you Jen!

    Farm Couture Flowers
    Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
    • Starts at $5,000
    • Serves Canterbury, CT

Farm Couture Flowers is the design studio at Muddy Feet Flower Farm. I grow over 100 varieties of cut flowers from April through November and incorporate them into lush garden-style arrangements and bouquets.

Where to begin? Kristin is an artist. In the age of insane wedding Pinterest boards and over-planning every detail, we gladly handed the floral design and aesthetics over to Kristin. She uses her own flowers from her farm, so she's both local and sustainable, and if you're interested in supporting a small, woman-owned business, this is the way to go. We trusted her direction and expertise and it was the best decision we could have made. When we walked into our venue on the day-of, we were both floored. It was so much better than I could have even imagined; we received so many sincere compliments from guests. Our wedding photographer said he thought they were the best wedding flowers he'd seen. The floral design was original, organic, and creative, and the greenery was gorgeous. If you choose Kristin as your florist, trust her to lead the way. It'll be better than anything you could have imagined!

    • Starts at $5,000
    • Serves Canterbury, CT

BLOOM. Creative Floral & Events is a boutique floral and event design studio located in Northeast, CT, serving counties in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We create seasonal, garden-inspired floral arrangements, using only the freshest flowers and unique blooms and ingredients responsibly sourced from local flower farmers and gardens from all over the world. Drawing inspiration from your ideas, your unique style, and the venue you have chosen, we work closely with you and the team of professionals you have hired to implement your special day to help you achieve, big and small, the wedding of your dreams.

Tammie made our wedding a dream. We love flowers and knew we wanted them to be a showstopper during our big day, and from our very first meeting we knew that Tammie would create organic coastal garden magic for us. After describing our likes and dislikes and reviewing a moodboard with Tammie, she came back with a visual proposal that completely understood the vision we had, and the actual execution was even better than we could have expected. From my beautiful bouquet, to the ceremony arrangements, and the stunner of a floral chandelier, everything was absolutely perfect. However, nothing could really top the reception tables — it was like my Pinterest board come to life. The organic feeling growing arrangements, bud vases, ikebanas, and tapers that complimented our tablecloths were *chefs kiss*. I’m still not over everything! To top it all off, Tammie is so kind, warm, and lovely — she made dreaming up flowers one of the best and most enjoyable parts of this process. Thank you for everything, Tammie!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
    Rating: 4.9 (94 reviews)
    • Starts at $350
    • Serves Canterbury, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate brought my idea of a spring garden wedding to life. She over exceeded my expectations for all the bouquets and the bud vases throughout the room. She was very easy to talk through it all and really helped with showing a personalized portfolio to really showcase what to expect on our wedding day. It was so special to me and my mother-in-law to incorporate her wedding dress sleeve as the wrap for my bouquet.

Glitzed Events was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding florals. Nicole and her team were incredibly responsive, creative, and attentive to every detail throughout the planning process. I had a very specific vision for a gothic Victorian theme with black and white florals, and Nicole brought that vision to life perfectly. She worked closely with me to explore different options and make changes as needed. The morning of the wedding, I asked for a last-minute change to my bouquet and Nicole was so quick and responsive to make the adjustment. I can not recommend Jillian enough. She is easy to work with, kind, gentle, very knowledgeable, creative, flexible, and extremely supportive. We used a dingy boat as our "arbor". Jillian was creative and extremely supportive in figuring out how to affix the flowers to the boat. Additionally, when I decided to do cake centerpieces, Jillian was flexible with changing the plan to bud vases. She recommended adding greenery to the table which brought the whole look together. Not to mention that the flowers she sources last so long!! Over a week and a half after the wedding the flowers looked as good as day 1! I feel so lucky that I encountered Jillian in my wedding planning process. She is simply the best!

Ayla is the definition of a perfect vendor. She is exceptionally talented, dedicated, resourceful, and collaborative. She exceeded our expectations and made an already lovely space feel magical. Ayla's passion and artistic skill is obvious. She immediately understood our organic, airy, and romantic vision, and she and her team made it a reality. With her expertise, an assortment of poppies, ranunculus, chamomile, sweet peas, smilax, etc., brought so much beauty, life, and color to our wedding day. Every design element - from my bridal bouquet to tablescapes and tent installations to our ceremony chuppah (undoubtedly, the most stunning chuppah I've ever seen) - was perfect. Rachel, the incredibly talented owner of Flowerworks, is truly a floral magician! From my bridal shower to our wedding day, she took my vision board and brought it to life in ways I never could’ve imagined possible. Every single arrangement—from the bouquets to the ceremony urns to the delicate table details including baskets and ribbons—everything was overflowing with creativity, intention, and pure beauty. What sets Rachel apart is her incredible eye and unmatched artistry. She understood my style from the start and elevated it to something beyond my wildest dreams. Walking into our wedding space and seeing her floral work was one of the most unforgettable moments of the day. Rachel, thank you for pouring your heart into our celebration. Your designs made everything feel romantic, timeless, and so "us." I’m still in awe and couldn’t recommend Flowerworks more highly for anyone looking to turn their floral dreams into reality.

I instinctually fell in love with the creativity of floral design and it wasn’t long until Willow & Grey was born. WG creates unique, romantic, and whimsical floral designs for weddings and events in New England. My desire is to curate florals that reflect and celebrate the beauty and magic in life’s most cherished moments.

If I could give more stars, I would!! Communication with Willow & Grey was quick and easy! Their work was absolutely incredible - the ceremony flowers were stunning and the reception decor was equally as breathtaking. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I had no idea flowers could come together to create such a magical, fairytale-like atmosphere. Renee is so incredibly talented, and I couldn't recommend Willow & Grey more highly.

Tracey came highly recommended by our wedding planner and for a good reason. My husband and I knew that we wanted flowers that were colorful and really popped. We were able to show Tracey our inspo photos and through that she curated a unique set of florals for our special day. The amount of compliments we received on our florals was insane. Tracey is also such a joy and pleasure to work with. If you’re looking for an incredible and passionate florist than Tracey is your girl!
