Paris did my cousin‘s wedding 15 years ago and saved the day when her previous DJ backed out. our family still talks about it to this day and that’s why we reached out to him from the start. He is very communicative and responsive. He gives a great set of pamphlets which he made to help you prepare for the big day. He gives a lot of great suggestions. he listens and prepare himself very well to show up for your big day. Paris did our ceremony music and reception music. He was a great emcee and informed the crowd when needed, and also just sounds great on the mic! He nailed it from beginning to end. All of my song requests were played during the ceremony and at the reception all of the perfect time! For me, DJ was a HUGE part of our day and can quite honestly make or break a wedding. I 100% recommend Paris!”

Plus, during planning, he was always quick to answer emails and super easy to work with. So many of our guests texted us afterwards asking who our DJ was. He was such a pleasure to meet with ahead of time and asked us tons of questions to really understand our vision for the evening. He was truly a delight and even wore black, per my very annoying request :) He also had me get on the DJ board (just pretending) and it was a huge hit! Very fun, very adaptable! Summit Events Co. uses an app for all of your music and timeline needs and it was SUPER easy to use. It connects to Spotify, Youtube, and a few other platforms so I could just upload my playlists I had already worked on and it made everything really fast. We also got a photobooth which was AMAZING. It's hard to know when planning a wedding what is worth the extra cost but this hands down was worth it. Our attendant was such an angel and multiple people came up to me after to tell me how cool she was! Their pricing is super reasonable - very in line with other vendors I found and Ben was able to accommodate our specific budget while still making our vision come to life. “DJ Motiv was extraordinary. I was so impressed by his professionalism, communication, and willingness to make sure our night was perfect. I was skeptical at first with some reviews mentioning that the DJ’s weren’t playing the songs they chose. I immediately reached out and that was informed that it would not be an issue. ALL of our chosen music was played, with some song requests of guests (with bride’s approval, per DJ motiv - loved that). DJ Motiv checked in with us constantly, even to make sure our food was at our table, if we needed drinks, if the music was going well, and if there was anything he could do. He was going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I even threw in special requests during my wedding, including him stopping my parent dance half way (on purpose) as if the music turned off, to take the mic and give a short speech. He did it phenomenally. I had a game request, with him being the commentator and director of, and he took that role and ran with it. The wedding guests LOVED him. I have nothing negative to say about his services. Even the photobooth was done great! I also had a custom sign made, with our new last name, and it was perfect! Such a great item to be able keep, and you get a year warranty on it. Anyway, I highly recommend this DJ!! He MADE our wedding perfect. Everyone loved him.”

In addition, I’ve participated as talent, as well as tech and presentation, in music related events all around the Washington DC/Northern Virginia/Maryland region for three decades. I branched out into doing weddings in the 00’s, and it has been great! I love playing weddings and sharing in the joy of the happy couple and their families!

“We had an amazing experience with DJ Brian for our wedding! He was fantastic both as our DJ and MC and we felt like everything was handled so seamlessly throughout the day. For our ceremony, he coordinated directly with our coordinator to make sure the processional and ceremony timing went smoothly. We also had specific songs we wanted played at specific moments throughout the wedding and he nailed all of those cues. One of the highlights was our Battle of the Brothers game during the reception. We had a specific idea for how we wanted the game to work, but we didn't even have to walk him through how to engage the crowd — he immediately knew how to host it and keep everyone involved. Our guests were incredibly engaged and it ended up being one of the most fun moments of the reception. For the dancing, while he didn't end up playing every song we had specifically requested, there was someone on the dance floor pretty much the entire night, which says a lot about how well he read the room! He was professional, easy to work with, and did a great job keeping the energy going while also making sure the important moments of the evening happened smoothly. We’re so glad we chose him for our wedding and would definitely recommend him!”

“We had a wonderful experience working with the team at 3 West! During our initial call with Matt, the owner, it was clear that they offer an impressive selection of entertainment options that can be customized to any wedding or event. Matt was kind, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. For our DJ, we selected Steve S., and I’m so glad we did! As a self-proclaimed “Type B Bride,” I didn’t have all of my song selections finalized until the last minute. Steve handled this like a true professional, offering suggestions and a backup plan for any songs we may have missed. This made the days leading up to the wedding much less stressful, and I felt confident that everything would run smoothly. For the reception, I gave Steve a few songs and ultimately left the rest up to him—and he absolutely nailed it! He put together an amazing mix that spoke to my millennial heart, he even included the perfect amount of Hamilton and Latin hits. He also did a fantastic job transitioning between songs and different parts of the evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! Steve was professional, attentive, and so easy to work with. He played a huge part in making our reception fun and memorable, and we would absolutely recommend 3 West and Steve for any wedding or event!”
