In addition to being a wedding photographer, I have become a professional boutonniere pinner, bonus bridesmaid, master timeline creator, manipulator of light, and emotional confidant. Photography by Jo began back in 2014 when I shot my first wedding for my roommates, while still in college. Photographs always made me curious. The stories behind the photo often sparked ideas for my book writing. Being a 90's baby I grew up using Kodak film, my moms point-and-shoot, and polaroid. My love of this art grew and I bought my first Canon when my oldest was 3. For awhile I captured our family growing, memories, a few newborns here and there, and brand content. In 2020, I began capturing life through the lens for others. It brought beauty back to my heart, and independence to my life as a mom. When I shot my first wedding I became absolutely hooked and knew I wanted to capture more of those memories for your future generations to cherish.
