Hi! My name is Jo Mahaney. In addition to being a wedding photographer, I have become a professional boutonniere pinner, bonus bridesmaid, master timeline creator, manipulator of light, and emotional confidant. Primarily, I am there as your wedding photographer to ensure that--although your memory will fade with time--these photographs serve as vivid reminders of the joy in the season and the relationships that matter most. Photography by Jo began back in 2014 when I shot my first wedding for my roommates, while still in college. That year, I fell in love with weddings and have focused on those and other major family milestones ever since.

Every minute, we are changing and growing. We never get these seconds back, but great photographs tangibly preserve memories of this life's most important moments. The relationships I get to build with my couples are the most rewarding part of being a wedding photographer. Photographing couples and families feels less like a job and more like celebrating with friends every single weekend! Photographs are how we share memories, and I love that I get to give that priceless piece of family history to my clients. There's nothing more personal than your wedding day. I consider it such an honor to be chosen to photograph these moments.

    Amazing Wedding Photographer!

    If you are looking for an amazing photographer and want your sneak peaks back fast Jo is the best!! She was a pleasure to work with from day one! I love her style of photography. She is so nice and gets the job done beautifully. Couldn’t have asked for more beautiful photos!! I give Jo 5 stars!!

    What are you waiting for?? Do it!!

    If you are considering having Jo as your photographer for your engagement shoot, wedding shoot, family shot and more.. DO IT! Jo is incredible at what she does! My now husband and I never kissed until our wedding day and she helped us feel comfortable with each other and have fun at the same time. She is so easy to work with, on time, super professional but not stiff. She is so relational and kind. Her quality of work is out of this world! Do it. Do it. DO IT! YOU WONT REGRET IT!

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 3-5 weeks after your wedding. I send a preview of your wedding photos 1 to 2 days after the event, so you'll have some great portraits to tide you over!
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra, as these are non-shooting assistants. This is different than a second photographer.
Typically, couples book me about 7-13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
You can expect about 60 to 80 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. Most wedding galleries are 800 to 1200 images.
In my 8 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
In my 8 years as a photographer, I have photographed over 150 weddings! You can rest assured I am a master at timelines, family portrait organization, and flying with the challenges of wedding day hiccups.
I require a 25% retainer and signed contract to reserve your wedding date. Then, you may split up the payments however you'd like, as long at the final balance is paid by 30 days prior to your wedding day.
