KGP is owned and operated by a seasoned professional. Karen taught high school photography (film and digital) before leaving traditional teaching to run KGP full time. Her styled is bright and bold with traditional color. The editorial style in her images comes from the frequent collaboration and publication of her work with Virginia Bride Magazine.

Karen and her assistant are absolutely amazing humans to be around. They have great energy and a breath of knowledge and experience on how the wedding process works. They not only took incredible photos at our wedding but with great positive energy provided some essential oil in the running of our day.

We absolutely love how all of our photos have turned out!! Karen is amazing to work with - professional, fast at responding, easy to talk to, and bonus: she's funny. She probably saved the day with this: she knew we wanted to do private vows and take pictures at a particular gazebo in Maymont on the busiest Saturday in May, and having beat us there, she held it down and got photos of us doing our vows! She also took more photos of us as well as group shots in additional areas of Maymont - we loved all of the spots she recommended. All of the party shots turned out great too - we got some good laughs out of some of the things she caught on camera! Also getting the photos back in 1 month was amazing! We couldn't recommend her enough!!!

I am in the event planning business, so I have had the privilege to work with Karen many times. Every single time has been a wonderful experience! Karen is incredibly professional, yet so warm and personable. She makes the entire process of hiring and working with a photographer easy and enjoyable. With a quick turnaround, I am always stunned at how beautiful her photos are. Karen has an amazing eye for , and her work speaks for itself. Karen and her assistant Shelby were the absolute best! Karen helped me make sure our timeline looked good so that we had plenty of time for photos. They worked so well together to capture our day and the pictures turned out amazing!
