Captivating Complexion is a small elite makeup team built up of individual artists that specializes in beauty built around you. While based in Charlottesville our artists are located in Richmond, Lynchburg and Charlottesville - we travel up and down Virginia to bring the best on-site wedding makeup services, and energy, to you. We know you are probably coming from out of town for your wedding so we have conveniently located our gorgeous store front next to the airport and on the north end of Charlottesville. Each "CC" artist is highly trained and more than comfortable with working with all skin tone, skin types, gender, and ages. We pride ourselves in our up to date technique, products in our kits, and staying on top of trends we see while still keeping your makeup timeless. You will see each artist constantly posting to ensure your confidence leading up to your wedding day with latest looks of bridal parties and studio appointments. Best MUA a Girl Could Ask For
Madelyn was absolutely amazing and exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding! From the trial to the wedding day itself, she listened so carefully to exactly what I wanted and made me feel completely comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. She created the most perfect look that still felt completely like me. I was very unsure of what I wanted or the exact look and she was so helpful and patient to work through that with me and still create exactly what I wanted even when I couldn't tell her! The makeup photographed beautifully and lasted flawlessly through hours of tears, dancing, hugs, and everything in between without ever feeling heavy or irritating Beyond her talent, she brought such a calm, positive energy to the wedding morning. She helped make the morning feel relaxed, fun, and special for everyone. She was very professional and responsive when outside factors were challenging. I felt my absolute best on my wedding day, and I am so grateful for her skill, professionalism, and attention to detail. I truly could not recommend her more highly to any bride looking for someone talented, reliable, and genuinely wonderful to work with!

Look no further, you've found your makeup team!
One of the things that people don't always think about when choosing a makeup artist is that this person is going to be with you during some of the most intimate and exciting moments of your wedding day. Looking back, I can confidently say that choosing Meg was one of the best decisions I made. From the very beginning, Meg was warm, welcoming, and so easy to connect with. She has the friendliest, most open personality, and I genuinely felt like we were friends long before the wedding day arrived. When your wedding morning finally comes, the energy surrounding you matters so much, and she and her second artist helped create such a fun, relaxed, and positive atmosphere while we were getting ready. I also cannot recommend doing a makeup trial enough, and Meg made that experience so valuable. Not only did it give me confidence in my wedding day look, but it gave us the opportunity to meet, talk through my vision, and make sure everything felt exactly right. She was incredibly receptive to feedback and completely open to any tweaks or adjustments I wanted to make. On the wedding day, she absolutely nailed it. My makeup photographed beautifully, lasted all day and night, and held up through happy tears, hugs, and hours of celebrating. Most importantly, I felt like the best version of myself. I still look back at our photos and love the way everything turned out. If you're looking for a makeup artist who is exceptionally talented, professional, energetic, and someone you'll genuinely enjoy spending your wedding morning with, Meg is your person. She was such an important part of my DREAM team, and I am so grateful!!

Made me feel like a bride
Molly was such a dream to work with. She was so kind and patient with all of my bridesmaids and made them look incredible. I have never felt or looked as beautiful as she made me look for my wedding. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone getting married!

Tai was wonderful!!
I feel so incredibly lucky to have gotten to work with Tai for my March 2025 wedding. I had never gotten my makeup professionally done before, and honestly had some nerves going into the process. I knew from pictures that I felt like Tai’s style fit what I was envisioning, and in the first minutes of meeting Tai, I knew I was in good hands. She is such a kind and bubbly person, the trial felt like catching up with an old friend. Seeing myself in the mirror both on the trial and on the wedding day, I felt truly beautiful and confident. I felt like me, but elevated. On top of that, she also helped to cover a scar that I got on my back from an unexpected procedure a month prior to my wedding. I felt so insecure about it, and she was able to cover it with ease. As for the look itself, it lasted all night, through happy tears and a hot dance floor. One of the best wedding vendors out there, would definitely work with her again!!

Meg from Captivating Complexion was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From our very first interaction, her communication was fast, clear, and consistently helpful. Meg, our makeup artist, has a wonderful calming presence and made all of us feel so comfortable and beautiful. She was detail-oriented, adaptable, and truly delivered flawless makeup that lasted through tears, heat, sweat, kissing, smiling, and hours of dancing with only minimal touchups needed. Captivating Complexion's work was worth every penny - they truly helped make our special day perfect.
