I'm Emily, the proud owner and lead photographer of EmmiClaire Photography. With a deep love for storytelling and an unwavering passion for capturing beautiful moments, I am honored to be your guide through the incredible world of photography. Photography has always been more than just a profession to me—it's a way of life. From a young age, (around seven years old) I found inspiration behind the lens, using my camera to freeze time and preserve emotions. Over the years, my craft has evolved, and I have honed my skills to capture the essence of love, joy, and authenticity in every image.

From elopements to minimonies, our team would be honored to share a snippet of your love story with the people who matter most in your lives as a couple. Because every ceremony is different, we do not set a minimum hour requirement.

    Extremely talented and fun!

    EmmiClaire Photography is purely amazing and she is so very talented. The quality of her work is incredible - her photos have an amazing eye for detail and the edits are stunning. Just a quick look at her social media shows that her work truly speaks for itself. As a wedding officiant I am always excited to work along side her throughout the entire wedding experience. I look forward to many more together. EmmiClaire is always a great person to work with - she has a wonderful personality, is extremely talented and supportive. She jumps right in to make the couples and their guests feel comfortable in front of the camera. EmmiClaire always delivers amazing pictures that perfectly capture their special day.

    WONDERFUL

    From our initial consultation to the wedding day itself, Emily and team were a joy to work with. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (and not awkward lol) which really shows in the photos. The team was professional, organized, fun, and had a great eye for capturing natural moments. We felt like we were in good hands throughout the entire process. Emily and team took the time to learn what was important to us, and it shows in the photos we have. I love them all so much, and I am so thankful I found this team. I feel like they are part of my family now.

    EmmiClaire Photography is the best!

    I've known and worked with Emily of EmmiClaire photography for a year now, and she's hands down one of my favorite photographers. From initial client contact all the way through gallery delivery, she ushers her clients through the photography process from start to finish, delivers gorgeous images, and is overall just a joy to work with!

I seize every opportunity I can to travel for business or leisure. So whether you’ve planned a destination wedding or are hosting your wedding outside of the Richmond Metro Area, I’m ready to make it work!
Once we’ve had a chance to chat and get to know each other a bit, and you’re ready to take the plunge to book EmmiClaire Photography, I’ll send a contract and invoice for your review and signature. Payment of a non-refundable retainer will be due in order to reserve your date. The retainer amount is a percentage based on your total wedding package price
Generally speaking, EmmiClaire Photography clients can expect to receive an average of 100 images per hour of coverage. Images will include formal shots, candid moments, as well as portraits and detail shots.
In short, no. While I pride myself on capturing beautiful photographs of the moments you’ll want to cherish for a lifetime, not every image is client-worthy. Part of being a good photographer is winnowing your wedding gallery so I can deliver only the best quality images. Don’t worry! You’ll still have plenty of images to choose from.
EmmiClaire Photography generally returns digital wedding galleries to clients within four to six weeks. I know it’s difficult to wait for your wedding gallery, so I do my best to provide a quick turnaround time and ensure you get sneak peeks within 48 hours of your wedding. It takes time to diligently edit each image for your viewing pleasure! Albums, prints, and other photo products may take up to 10 weeks to receive
I personally edit every image in your digital gallery. However, I do not offer extreme retouching. Blemishes are edited on a case by case basis at my discretion. All edited images are delivered in JPEG format. I do not deliver raw images to my clients.
If your wedding venue is within the Richmond Metro Area, chances are EmmiClaire Photography has had the privilege of photographing there. However, my clients can rest easy knowing that I work well with venues of all shapes and sizes.
Inclement weather is just one of the few hiccups that most wedding vendors deal with on a regular basis, and EmmiClaire Photography is no different. I will monitor the weather in the days leading up to your event and coordinate with your venue and wedding planner to determine the best locations for your photos.
When a photographer is assigned the task of working from an extremely detailed shot list, (s)he can often miss those truly meaningful and candid precious moments. That’s why, in general, I prefer to work from a family portrait shot list only. However, if there’s something specific you’d like photographed, communicate that to me and I’ll do my best to make it happen!
EmmiClaire Photography currently offers four distinct wedding packages. Packages are based on client needs, including but not limited to number of coverage hours, photographer travel time, and desired photo products.
A second shooter is an additional photographer who agrees to work with your primary photographer to capture your wedding day. Each of EmmiClaire Photography’s current packages include a second shooter so you can rest assured that we capture ALL the images you could possibly want of your wedding day.
Every wedding is different, so there’s no one right answer to this question. However, I advise you book your photographer from the time you begin getting ready through the end of your reception, and add an hour just in case you’re running behind schedule.
Wedding days rarely, if ever, go exactly as planned. Often, that means you may want to extend your photography coverage. If your wedding runs over your contracted amount of time, EmmiClaire Photography will ask if you’d like to extend. If you choose to extend, you will be charged the rate set out in your contract rounded to the closes 30 minute increment.
