“Oh where to begin?! I met Brandon and Kellie during the April 2024 Richmond Bridal Expo. I was just going around signing up for all the give aways and drawings while collecting information. The day after the show, I received an email from DJ Signature saying I won their 2nd place prize and to schedule a meeting. My Fiancé and I set up a meeting via zoom and let the fun begin! We both instantly felt a connection with Brandon and he 100% understood the vibe we were going for. He took the time to go through all the packages and customized our perfect plan. I didn’t need some of the things the package offered so I opted to add in Signature Details (welcome to the party Kellie!) and have access to a wedding coordinator. Kellie joined our zoom call and it was like 4 friends just catching up and having a good time. Once we were done with the zoom, they emailed over everything we discussed along with a contract. We were signed, sealed, delivered within an hour of ending our call. Brandon is very proactive in asking for lists of music you do and don’t want during your ceremony. He also helped me when I was struggling to add certain genres I knew I didn’t want during the reception, and we created a dinner playlist with those songs so everyone was included. The day of the wedding Brandon and his assistants showed up ready to get to work. When I say everything was PERFECT I mean it! The music flowed beautifully and there was no awkward pauses in transitions. It was a special moment for my husband and I too, after pictures we got the chance to talk with Brandon. You could feel the love and support with everything he said and it was an honor to have him with us. Part of the package we did was a cold spark exit. I wasn’t sold on it when we originally talked about it but as we went on I was like ok it’ll be cool. My advice, DO THE COLD SPARKS!!!!!! I’m so glad they convinced me because it was honestly my favorite part of the night. Brandon had to leave after this part of our evening as he had another wedding to do fireworks at and his assistant took over. And that’s when the party started! I wanted it to feel like an early 2000’s-2010’s club vibe full of dancing and fun. They NAILED the mark on it too! Everyone had an absolute blast and I legit felt it for the next few days. If you’re looking for the best DJ in VA, you’re in the best hands with DJ Signature! Thank you for being a part of our day Brandon!!”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“We chose DJ Karizma for our February wedding in Va Beach this year and first things first, his organization, communication and responsiveness were top tier. He had ceremony and reception worksheets, and song suggestions for us to review and complete which made it very easy to communicate all of our music preferences. He responded within a day or two to any questions that we had via email and text. We had a lot of expectations for our DJ such as the specific songs we chose for the ceremony, the grand entrances, reception and dance floor. We asked him to also add in some reggae vibes and all of his selections were a perfect fit for our guests. We needed his MC assistance with announcements for the audio guestbook and QR codes for the seating chart and disposable camera photo capture. He covered these announcements during cocktail hour as expected. He made sure all those that were giving a toast/speech were prepped and ready for their turn. He announced all of big moments such as the cake cutting, family dances, bouquet toss, garter toss..etc. He hosted our Photo Table Dash game and co-hosted our mini Newlywed game and his energy and enthusiasm were just what our celebration needed! We were impressed with him staying on top of everything we asked for. Our only disappointment was due to where the venue had the DJ set up (behind a curtain which obstructed his view) so our grand entrance music was cut short unexpectedly. We wish we would have communicated our expectation better with the venue as they were our day of coordinators and were supposed to be the DJ's "eyes." However, we would choose DJ Karizma again without hesitation for future events. Thank you so much DJ Karizma for making our wedding fun, hype and such a delight!!!!”

“Let me start off by saying that I didn't think I "needed" a DJ for my wedding, so I didn't budget for one initially. It was about halfway through wedding planning that my now-husband and I decided we should invest in one, so it would be one less thing for us to have to do on our wedding day. Budget was super important to us when booking a DJ, but we also wanted someone who was experienced and knew what they were doing. The DJ Company of Virginia did not disappoint! Nikki and Devail helped me during the booking and planning process, and helped pick the right DJ to use for our venue. When planning, we were able to suggest a bunch of songs that both of us love and also got to make a list of any songs we didn't want to hear. Our guests were able to suggest songs on their own, and I gave those to the DJ beforehand (it was a question on our RSVP form). If you wanted your guests to suggest songs during the reception, I know they would be able to do that too! Jose was the DJ for our wedding and he was super friendly and easy to talk to! My husband and I did a "fake out" for our first dance, where we made it seem like we would do the standard slow dance, but then actually use a fun, upbeat song. Jose made sure he understood what we wanted and our guests LOVED it! Jose played so many songs that I like and love that I found myself on the dancefloor a bunch. I sure got in a workout! If you need a DJ in the Hampton Roads area, you should book the DJ Co. of VA. I wasn't sure we could afford a DJ for our wedding, but their prices were perfect for our needs!
