“So first off, the first things I asked her were; are you LGBT friendly, can you handle my anxiety, and can you photograph fat people?? Her answer was yes to all....and she exceeded my expectations. I do not talk much nor do I speak my mind ever, but I felt immediately comfortable with Taylor the second I saw her. Prior to that actually because we had texted a lot. She’s very hands-on. I booked her almost a year ago it feels like, but because of covid and other things out of our control we had to reschedule multiple times. Taylor was SO accommodating every single time. She never seemed bothered by us even though I guarantee she had to be. We are a hot mess! We changed the location multiple times, including TWO DAYS before the ceremony, I was late to my own elopement and on the way there my daughter spilled make up all over her clothes so we had to turn around for an outfit change!! Taylor was so kind and friendly. We told her in the beginning that mine and my wife’s height difference was an insecurity of ours and she made the angles work to where we didn’t look that far off at all. I’m telling you this, I have never been confident at all, I have never even liked the pictures other photographers have taken of me.....I cried when I saw Taylor’s pictures. I felt so beautiful and worthy of good photos!! I HIGHLY recommend her and will forever cherish everything she’s done. I was so uneasy about picking a photographer, it was so stressful because I’m from out of state and I knew nothing about Colorado or anything. “Ivy has photographed four major life events for my family now. From our engagement to wedding to maternity to newborn photos, she captured so many of our most important memories that we can treasure forever so beautifully. In planning a wedding with a goal of staying under Colorado’s average wedding cost, I was deep in the Internet and Instagram profiles looking for a photographer that was affordable without sacrificing quality. I found two and was leaning more toward Ivy anyway, but blindly showed my fiancé at the time samples of the two photographers’ portfolios. He immediately chose Ivy’s without knowing anything about who the photographer was, cost, or any other details. He gave the reasoning that her photos were so vibrant and real-looking and he wanted our days captured in the same way. As soon as we got on the phone for our consultation call with Ivy, we immediately clicked. She then made us feel so comfortable in the engagement session and we really got to get to know each other in preparation for our big wedding day. She then requested the wedding day schedule and even helped us make decisions to build that schedule based on not only what would give us the best photo opportunities but also what would work better for us based on what she knew and getting to know us. Because she has so much experience and cares so deeply about her clients, she actually doubled as a second wedding coordinator for the day-of. She made the day flow so stress-free and took a lot of responsibility upon herself to make sure the day was absolutely perfect. Her portfolio speaks for itself as far as photography quality, her abilities, and capturing the best moments, but it’s the personal touch that you don’t get to see in her portfolio at earns her the highest five star rating. Even in the shoots outside of our wedding, she was so gentle and patient with our dogs and newborn baby, putting us so ease in what could have been stressful situations prepping for a photo session. I want to yell from the mountain tops that everybody should trust Ivy when looking for a photographer for those important moments.
