First Day Films was started with one goal in mind: to tell our clients’ stories as elegantly and unobtrusively as possible. Our films capture the events we cover precisely as they happen. Nothing artificial, nothing cheesy. We have all been to events where the video crew are the most noticeable people in the room. The bright lights, the uncomfortable interview requests… Our team of videographers believe that distractions like these put you and your guests on the spot. So we do our best to avoid them entirely.

Our number one priority when shooting weddings is to remain as unobtrusive as possible. We keep the team small, the equipment small, and use natural lighting for as much of the day as possible. You won't know we're there.

    When my brother used First Day Films 6 years ago, I knew I had to have them for my wedding. John was so easy to communicate from day one and answered any emails in a timely manner. Edward was our main shooter and he was so nice and worked well with my photographer, Jovon!! A few days after my wedding, there was already a preview on Instagram which was an amazing surprise! If you want a quality video, to be stress free, and for the videographer to make you feel comfortable on your wedding day, book First Day Films! I recommend them to anyone!!!

    You're planing a wedding and you are reading this, you either 100% know you'd like to have a videographer document your wedding day and are beginning your research or maybe you're unsure. I want to highly recommend hiring a videographer at First Day Films. You will treasure having your special day documented and you will love working with John and his team. In 20 years from now, you'll be so excited to be able to look back at that amazing day and share those memories with your children. We are photographers and we have worked with First Day Films for over 10 years now. We both approach the day in an unobtrusive manner. Their style will stand the test of time- nothing gimmicky, the moments that matter are documented as they were actually happening and then edited together beautifully. Their final product will transport you right back to your big day all over again as you watch your Instagram clip and the longer edit. Speaking to the day of experience, they do not treat your wedding day like a movie set in any way and nothing cringeworthy will happen, promise.     I have had the pleasure of knowing and working alongside John and his team for close to 12 years. As a full time wedding photographer I have worked with many videographers and none come close to First Day Films. Johns unobtrusive style of documenting weddings consistently delivers a stress free experience for the couple and a video that tells the story of their love and their day in the most natural and beautiful way.
