Sarah, our lead planner, has been hosting and planning events since 2012. What started as intimate events with family and friends, has expanded to hosting private events for up to 200 guest. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in African American History in 2016. She also received her Master of Urban Education-School Counseling, K-12 in 2020. She is able to offer expert guidance on what venues and vendors will work best for your specific wedding, based on your specific vision, design, budget, guest count, and overall priorities for your wedding day. Our lead planner is also a certified civil celebrant in Virginia.
She is known for her ability to balance managing a large social, Women’s Empowerment Group and her career as a Professional School Counselor. We are open to working with couples from all backgrounds. No event is too unorthodox!

A Lifesaver and a Superstar
We could not have been happier with Sarah and her team. From the moment we met her, she took charge with confidence and ensured that every aspect of our wedding happened at the right time and in the right order. Originally, we had hired a different Day-of Coordinator (DOC), but just four weeks before our wedding, they informed us that they would be unable to attend due to a personal situation. Unfortunately, they did not transition the event to Sarah until only one week before the wedding, which left us with very little time to work together. This was in no way Sarah’s fault. In fact, the previous coordinator managed the communication and preparation process very poorly. But enough about that. Once Sarah stepped in, she immediately brought organization, professionalism, and calm to the process. She maintained regular communication with us, asked all the right questions, and quickly coordinated with the venue’s event coordinator, baker, DJ, photographer, and other vendors to ensure everyone was aligned. On the wedding day, Sarah and her assistants arrived early and went above and beyond by helping with setup and decorations. Throughout the event, she kept everything running smoothly, ensuring people were where they needed to be and that the timeline stayed on track. She was always a step ahead, proactively handling details before they became issues and allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day. Sarah’s expertise, dedication, and attention to detail made an enormous difference and turned what could have been a stressful final week into a seamless and enjoyable experience. Amazing Experience with I Got A Love Jones Events
My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day, and so much of that is thanks to Sarah, our coordinator and officiant! Hiring her was hands down the best investment we made for our wedding. From our very first conversation, Sarah was meticulous and endlessly patient. She answered every question we had and explained anything we were unsure about, no matter how small. On the day itself, Sarah ran a tight ship. As a generally anxious person, I was so glad that I felt calm, supported, and completely taken care of on the day of. Both my husband and I were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment. The ceremony was also one of the highlights of the day - it was beautiful, and we will never forget it! It’s clear that Sarah truly loves what she does. Her passion, professionalism, and care shine through in everything she does. We could not recommend her more highly!

Awesome coordinator
Sarah was a fantastic coordinator. We were feeling overwhelmed after booking our venue, photographer, and DJ, but once we got Sarah onboard, we finally felt like it was all gonna' be ok. Every time we talked to her in the lead up to the event we immediately felt better. We had some weird situations with a couple vendors and Sarah was all over it. Great communicator and also just fun and upbeat person to be around. Awesome coordinator, you won't be disappointed!
