Owner & Lead Planner

Sarah, our lead planner, has been hosting and planning events since 2012. What started as intimate events with family and friends, has expanded to hosting private events for up to 200 guest. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in African American History in 2016. She also received her Master of Urban Education-School Counseling, K-12 in 2020. She is able to offer expert guidance on what venues and vendors will work best for your specific wedding, based on your specific vision, design, budget, guest count, and overall priorities for your wedding day. Our lead planner is also a certified civil celebrant in Virginia.

She is known for her ability to balance managing a large social, Women’s Empowerment Group and her career as a Professional School Counselor. We are open to working with couples from all backgrounds. No event is too unorthodox!

    An Exceptional Experience as a Vendor!

    It was an absolute pleasure working with Sarah as a vendor for the I Got A Love Jones Experience Bridal Expo! She was professional, organized, communicative, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire experience. Sarah created a wonderful environment for wedding professionals to showcase our businesses, connect with engaged couples, and network with one another. I also appreciated the effort she put into promoting and supporting her vendors leading up to the event. As the owner of KoKo Kocktails Bartending Services, I truly enjoyed working with Sarah and would absolutely collaborate with her again. She is personable, professional, and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for everyone involved. Highly recommend I Got A Love Jones Events!

    Awesome coordinator

    Sarah was a fantastic coordinator. We were feeling overwhelmed after booking our venue, photographer, and DJ, but once we got Sarah onboard, we finally felt like it was all gonna' be ok. Every time we talked to her in the lead up to the event we immediately felt better. We had some weird situations with a couple vendors and Sarah was all over it. Great communicator and also just fun and upbeat person to be around. Awesome coordinator, you won't be disappointed!

    Sarah Made #GoingGreene Absolutely Perfect!

    Where do I even begin with Sarah?! I truly cannot put into words how AMAZING she and her team were throughout this entire experience. From day one, Sarah was there for me. Throughout an entire year of wedding planning, she stayed in constant communication, answered every single question I had (and never once made me feel like any question was a dumb one), and handled everything with so much patience, poise, professionalism, and class. But wedding day?! Sarah was quite literally EVERYTHING for me. She made sure everything happened exactly when and how my husband and I wanted it to. Any surprise, hiccup, or last-minute change that came her way, she handled it so gracefully that half the time we didn’t even know there was an issue — and THAT is exactly what you want on your wedding day! Not only was she an incredible coordinator, but she officiated our ceremony beautifully as well. She truly wore every hat and made sure we could simply enjoy our day without worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. Our wedding party, family, and guests are STILL talking about how amazing Sarah and her team were and how smoothly everything went. That alone speaks volumes. Sarah, THANK YOU will never feel like enough. Thank you for being there through the planning, for listening to us, advocating for what we wanted, keeping everything together, and helping make our wedding day everything we imagined it would be. You were such a huge part of making our day so special, and I will forever be grateful that we chose I Got a Love Jones Events.     SIMPLY THE BEST!!

    Sarah my Sarah!! God tends to place the right people in your life at the right time and from the very beginning I knew this was divine intervention! Sarah and her team were absolutely AMAZING from beginning to end! When I needed vendor recommendations, she was on it! When I needed a listening ear, she was there! And my God when it came to my big day, SHE KILLED IT!! Sarah naturally makes you feel like family while navigating in her professional element and I LOVE that about her! If you need a planner, coordinator, or officiant hear me and hear me well, look no further because Sarah is your girl!!
