Sarah, our lead planner, has been hosting and planning events since 2012. What started as intimate events with family and friends, has expanded to hosting private events for up to 200 guest. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in African American History in 2016. She also received her Master of Urban Education-School Counseling, K-12 in 2020. She is able to offer expert guidance on what venues and vendors will work best for your specific wedding, based on your specific vision, design, budget, guest count, and overall priorities for your wedding day. Our lead planner is also a certified civil celebrant in Virginia.
She is known for her ability to balance managing a large social, Women’s Empowerment Group and her career as a Professional School Counselor. We are open to working with couples from all backgrounds. No event is too unorthodox!

We highly recommend!
Where to start?! Sarah made us feel as though we were her only clients (but don’t be fooled because she’s booked and busy!), she was wonderful at communicating with us and our vendors, and she was able to think on her feet really quickly while also keeping in mind our preferences. She would even remember things that we forgot throughout the process and the wedding day itself. On the wedding day, the weather ended up being windy and rainy, and we didn’t hear a single complaint or negative comment from Sarah and her team. She accommodated for the weather while also making sure we were still satisfied. The bride is someone who has a tough time trusting people to get things done when she can’t do them herself, but she fully and completely put her trust in Sarah and her team from the beginning, and there is no doubt she’d do it time and time again without hesitation. 10/10 would highly recommend working with Sarah for all your wedding needs! We love you so much, Sarah!!!

The best planner a bride could dream of!
Hiring Sarah was easily the best money spent on our wedding. She helped us find a venue, florist, DJ, and hairstylist all within our budget without compromising our vision. The day of, Sarah was everywhere ensuring the wedding ran smoothly, but also had a subtle presence- you could not ask for a more organized, professional, personable, patient, or kind coordinator. The best day of coordinator ever!
Working with Sarah at I Got A Love Jones Events was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From day one, the communication was crystal clear. She kept everyone on the same page and wasn't afraid to set boundaries when vendors or the venue tried to veer off course. What really impressed us was how she handled the chaos behind the scenes. The caterers showed up late, but she managed to set up our entire reception for 100 guests in just two hours without breaking a sweat. She also navigated our difficult venue with such professionalism, staying firm but kind while making sure our vision came to life exactly as we wanted it. By the end of the day, we felt like we'd gained a friend. She was energized from start to finish and made everything look effortless, even when things could have fallen apart. Honestly, we couldn't have done it without her!
