I Got A Love Jones Events
Sarah, our lead planner, has been hosting and planning events since 2012. What started as intimate events with family and friends, has expanded to hosting private events for up to 200 guest. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in African American History in 2016. She also received her Master of Urban Education-School Counseling, K-12 in 2020. She is able to offer expert guidance on what venues and vendors will work best for your specific wedding, based on your specific vision, design, budget, guest count, and overall priorities for your wedding day. Our lead planner is also a certified civil celebrant in Virginia.
She is known for her ability to balance managing a large social, Women’s Empowerment Group and her career as a Professional School Counselor. We are open to working with couples from all backgrounds. No event is too unorthodox!

Sarah is the best!
We can't say enough good things about Sarah from I Got A Love Jones Events. From our first conversation, she was responsive and caring, making sure every detail was handled with precision—from finalizing our ceremony script to taking care of all the paperwork so we didn't have to worry. One of our favorite touches was when she wrote a personalized poem for our ceremony that truly captured our story and set the perfect tone for the day. Sarah also went above and beyond by wearing floral attire since we had asked for it, showing how much she cared about being part of our vision. Her work felt genuine and thoughtful, and she was clearly focused on making our wedding feel special and stress-free. We'd recommend her in a heartbeat to any couple looking for a planner who actually listens and delivers.

Best Wedding Planner!!
I can’t thank Sarah enough. From the moment we spoke with her the first time, she completely put our wedding stress at ease. We needed someone with the experience, knowledge and passion, and Sarah is just that. She helped me through my personal worries and ensured us that everything will work out when it came down to booking the rest of my vendors, up to wedding day. She is organized, personable and just so easy to communicate with. Closer to wedding day, she told my husband and I not to worry about the rain and that everything will work out. And she was right! The rain came right after our outdoor ceremony and everything turned out perfectly. Sarah set up all of our decor beautifully and ensured everything was taken care of from start to finish so my husband and I wouldn’t have to worry about a thing. She fit right in with our family and friends and everyone praised her work and loved her so much. From our first conversation with Sarah at I Got A Love Jones Events, we knew we had found the right planner for our micro wedding. She was realistic about her schedule and responsive to our needs, stepping in to contact my husband when I couldn't and confirming that our vision was exactly what we needed. Sarah had a gift for calming our nerves before the ceremony with her thoughtful words, helping us feel grounded instead of overwhelmed as we walked down the aisle. She offered practical ideas that felt doable and made us feel secure in our choices, never making us second-guess ourselves. The best Coordinator
Sarah was absolutely amazing and played such a huge role in making our wedding day everything we hoped it would be. From the very beginning, she was organized, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure our day went smoothly. She handled multiple discrepancies with our venue and consistently advocated for us every step of the way. Even when our rehearsal didn’t go as planned due to venue related issues, Sarah remained calm, supportive, and worked hard to help resolve the situation. What impressed us most was that her support didn’t stop after the wedding. She continued to advocate for us afterward to ensure our concerns were addressed and that we received the fairness we deserved. Throughout the entire wedding day, Sarah was always checking in on us, making sure we were taken care of and able to enjoy every moment without stress. She went above and beyond in ways both big and small, even jumping onto the dance floor and teaching us a few dance moves! Sarah’s warm, inviting personality made everyone feel comfortable, and her dedication, professionalism, and kindness truly made a difference. We are so grateful for everything she did and would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a coordinator who will genuinely have their best interests at heart.

If there were problems, we didn't know
From start to finish, the team communicated well and Sarah immediately took charge (in a great way!). She and her team handled the rehearsal, the table decor setup (and takedown), photo station set up (and take down), vendor coordination, our send off. During our rehearsal, she was hands-on and made sure we felt confident about the day ahead. Sarah's hard work and attention to detail ensured our wedding ran smoothly from beginning to end.
