We used Black Tie Optional's full wedding planning service for our wedding and it was worth every penny! My fiance and I went into wedding planning with a truly blank slate. We had no pinterest boards, no vision, and just a vague concept of wanting to bring our friends and family together to celebrate with us. We finally honed in on Sedona as our location - it had the beautiful nature we loved without requiring grandma hike 5 miles into the desert - so we started talking to various wedding planners to see who could help us go from vague concept of a plan to fully executed event. As soon as we hopped on a call with Chelsea, the owner, and Jenny, our wedding planner, we knew this was the right fit for us. Jenny didn't try to force us to change - we weren't asked to suddenly create pinterest accounts or make up an answer to whether we preferred "bohemian" or "eclectic" style. Instead, she worked with us and adjusted to our levels of knowledge (or lack thereof) of the wedding industry. Jenny took our general ideas and turned them into a wedding that was more beautiful and personalized than we ever could have imagined. "We don't have a color scheme in mind but here's my dress and let's try to work with the nature of Sedona" turned into a cohesive color story that pulled in the colors of nature around us and centered natural elements such as succulents and native flora. "We don't have a specific plan but we want our guests to have a party to remember" led to Jenny connecting us with some of the best DJs in the area and a thoughtful timeline that gave plenty of time for socializing and dancing. The day-of experience was absolutely fantastic. We literally did not have to think about a thing, because Jenny had kept us on top of all of our to-dos leading up to the wedding and handled everything day-of. When the guests liked the painkillers at the bar a bit too much and we ran out of rum, Jenny and Kelsey got replacements before we could even start to think about what needed to happen. When we were rushing to photos after the ceremony, Jenny had pre-arranged for cocktails and snacks to be prepped for us so that we wouldn't miss out on the food at our own wedding. You are truly in the best possible hands with BTO and with Jenny when you are planning your wedding. We cannot thank her enough from taking wedding planning from an overwhelming task to something that was actually even fun at times! And the absolute joy of being able to completely participate in our wedding, knowing that every last detail would be executed above and beyond our expectations was priceless.
