My name is Maya (they/them), and I'm a queer, love-obsessed photographer based in the ever-rainy, ever-charming Pittsburgh, PA. As the owner and operator of Maya Lovro Photography, I'll be the one working with you every step of the way. From our initial meeting to shooting on the big day — I'm always just an email away.
I don't vibe with the idea that weddings need to look or feel a certain way. I take photos that showcase the life you've created together, no matter what that looks like or how you celebrate it. Amazing Photographers!
Wow! We loved working with Maya. They were so helpful, kind, and reassuring. They went above and beyond, sending a handmade wedding guide, helping with the timeline, offering advice on stylistic choices... Absolutely incredible. AND THE PHOTOS! The photos are gorgeous and feel accurate to the personalities of my husband/me. I can't recommend Maya (and Michael) enough -- book them, you won't regret it!

We are SO happy that we chose Maya as our wedding photographer! I only wish we could give them more stars! We live out of state so planning the wedding was a little challenging, but Maya made the planning process so easy! It was very reassuring to work with someone who was clearly very organized and on top of things. We met regularly with Maya over Zoom in the months leading up to the wedding and they were always available to answer questions as needed. My husband and I really wanted to take photos together at various places around the city and Maya helped us narrow down our choices and put together a schedule. Maya and their partner Michael were so accommodating and flexible on the day of, as some of our chosen locations ended up being too crowded. We were able to quickly pivot to alternates and we are incredibly happy with how the photos turned out! Neither my husband or I have a lot of experience in front of the camera, but Maya and Michael made the process so fun that it didn't even feel like we were being photographed. Even when we were all being swarmed by lanternflies, they were incredibly professional and made sure we weren't covered in bugs for the photos. They are truly the best hype people you could ask for the day of your wedding! Maya is a wonderfully talented photographer and their photos truly captured all of the love and joy of that day in such a beautiful way. We received sneak peak photos from them the next day which was such a wonderful surprise! They exceeded our expectations in every way and we HIGHLY recommend Maya for all of your photography needs. I can guarantee that you will be exceedingly happy with the results!

Maya was a delight to work with. Their attention to detail and compassion throughout the day made taking photos so much fun. The sneak peak also blew me away. It was sent very quickly, and I am so excited to see more! The quality was amazing, and I could not be happier with their work.
BEST DECISION EVER!
First let me say, I cannot believe that Maya only has a handful of reviews on here because they are AMAZING! They were by far my favorite vendor for our September wedding and well worth the investment. From day 1, Maya was fantastic! They truly became our friend and not just our photographer for our wedding. From the little things that Maya remembered, to the sweet emails and messages we received for over a year while planning. They helped with our timeline, they helped keep the day flowing and made everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We unfortunately were not able to do a engagement session with Maya, but somehow Maya made us feel like we've known them for years. If you want the personal touch, Maya is the perfect photographer for you! Maya is so professional, inclusive to all and by far our best wedding decision (besides marrying each other). We received so many compliments from family and friends about how impressed they were with Maya! Maya truly has found her calling and has the perfect eye for photography. The photos we have are so vibrant and perfect in every way! We cannot wait to relive the most magical day with all of the photos from Maya and her partner Michael. Hire them! You will not regret it!!
