Northern California Wedding + Elopement Photographer

Wedding photography for unconventional people. At the core of my practice as a wedding photographer, I believe: - that if your wedding traditions are not authentic and meaningful to you, then you deserve the freedom to build new traditions. - that men, women, and people of all genders are beautiful and deserve to have that beauty celebrated. - that we are most beautiful when we love fully and without reserve. - that no wedding or elopement is too small to commemorate. - that photographs are the record of memory and of personal history. - that you deserve to remember this.

I originally trained as a painter, but became captivated by photography in my second year of art school. After eloping in the desert, I was inspired to use my skills to help other couples create and commemorate the most exhilarating and authentic wedding experiences. With a bright and vibrant style, an easygoing manner, and an adventurous spirit, I help my clients to shape and experience the unconventional wedding day of their dreams - whether it's on a seaside bluff, in the depths of a redwood forest, at the top of a mountain, or at San Francisco's magnificent City Hall.

    My husband and I hired Kate to capture our civil ceremony at SF City Hall. We had our symbolic ceremony abroad a few more weeks out but wanted to sign the papers ahead of time first at home. She was very professional and so organized. Loved knowing I could rely on her guidance and expertise which was so needed given how much was going on around that time. Some of the photos took my breath away and she made both of us feel very at ease throughout the process. Highly recommend.

    Kate's an excellent photographer. She has a real knack for making her photos feel magical—something about how she works with light, how she's able to capture the glamorous side of everyone. She did a lovely job with our wedding photos, and was friendly and helpful through the whole process—I can't recommend her enough.
