Stephanie Wooding (Owner / Lead Planner) When it comes to planning your event, it’s really about how that person (or team) embraces and uses that job experience in a resourceful and creative way. I’m a practical, organized, creative, resourceful, and resilient, “jeans and t-shirt” type chick. Well, the San Diego part of me is anyway. The LA in me is a driven, problem-solving, A-type, “take no guff” lady boss, that gets the job done on time, and within a realistic budget.

Over the last 15 years, I’ve been blessed to have worked at nearly every major hotel, venue, and theme park in San Diego. I’ve worked in the film industry as a 1st, 2nd AD, grip, and PA; the hotel industry as an Assistant Director of Audio Visual Services and as a Catering Sales Manager; the live event and theatre industry as a lighting tech/stagehand/stage manager and the special event industry as a wedding and event planner. I’m a firm believer in building a team that you jive well together. Best Day Ever is the Perfect Choice
We hired Stephanie as our day-of coordinator for our wedding on August 16th, 2025, and we were so impressed with her and her services. We booked her as a "day-of" coordinator, but her involvement was anything but that. She helped us plan and coordinate months before the day and made everything seamless. Planning a wedding is a daunting task, but with her help, our minds were at ease so we could enjoy the day to its fullest. There are so many little things to keep track of, and we wouldn't have been able to have such a great time without Stephanie's help. She went above and beyond to help us get everything we wanted for our day. Her decor inventory is extensive, and having access to it was incredible. She's resourceful and has a wealth of knowledge and connections we wouldn't have had otherwise, and her prior experience with our venue was invaluable. Any hiccups that came up throughout the day, she handled impressively, keeping everything moving smoothly. We appreciate Stephanie so much and would recommend her services to anyone looking for a coordinator in the San Diego area. Thank you, Best Day Ever!

Best Decision Ever
We hired Stephanie to be our day-of coordinator for our wedding but she was so much more than that. Working with Stephanie to make sure that our wedding day went as smoothly as possible and according to our vision was the best decision we made. She was always quick and yet thorough with her responses to all questions or concerns and it also helped that she was intimately familiar with our venue. She knew all of the right questions to ask us as we planned out the final timeline and details, and she was similarly prepared to answer questions we had because of her extensive experience with weddings as well as our venue and vendors. She made sure we didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. Absolutely recommend working with Stephanie and BDE for your wedding.

Smooth as Butter Event Coordination
Stephanie was a dream to work with. Our day was perfect and we didn't have to worry about anything - which is saying a lot because we had a LOT to get done that day, trust me. It was good vibes all day long and our guests went out of their way to compliment her work. It was sooo helpful that she is so familiar with our venue, too (Sacred Mountain Ranch Resort). She was able to answer so many of our questions about the venue operations without us having to get in touch with venue management. If you're looking for friendly, chill, detail-oriented coordination, Stephanie is your pick :)

Best Day Ever Weddings Events
My husband and I had the absolute best experience working with Stephanie, Jenn, and Steven. From the moment we booked with them, I felt completely supported, cared for, and confident that our wedding was in good hands. The planning process: Stephanie is very professional, organized, and knowledgeable. She was always one step ahead and made what could have been an overwhelming planning process feel manageable and enjoyable. One of the biggest advantages of working with her is how well-connected she is within the San Diego wedding industry. Her package included monthly check-ins and access to Aisle Planner, which kept us organized and on track throughout the entire planning process. Her packages also include using decor in her inventory which was another huge perk! The wedding day: Jenn and Steven were amazing to work with. I DIY'ed all my florals, and I greatly appreciated their help in executing this (i.e. efficiently transporting 100 floral arrangements from my hotel to the venue the morning of the wedding as well as arranging them at the venue). I also want to highlight Jenn's calm presence and exceptional problem-solving skills. A few unexpected issues came up involving our vows and my dress, but Jenn quickly stepped in with thoughtful solutions. I can confidently say she saved the day multiple times. Stephanie and her team truly went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. Their dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care for their couples were evident in every interaction. I am so thankful for everything they did to make our wedding day feel seamless, beautiful, and unforgettable.

They Truly Made it the Best Day Ever
Hiring Stephanie Wooding and Best Day Ever was the reason we were able to actually enjoy our wedding day. We met with other planners, but Stephanie stood out right away — she’s warm, grounded, and incredibly organized. From the start, she made the process feel less overwhelming and helped us make smart decisions without pressure. Leading up to the wedding, Stephanie helped us stay focused, keep all the details moving, and feel confident that nothing would fall through the cracks. Then, about a month out, we transitioned to her associate Jenn Anderson as our day-of coordinator. We were a little nervous about switching that close to the wedding, but it ended up being seamless. Stephanie clearly set Jenn up for success, and Jenn was phenomenal — calm, proactive, and completely unflappable. The day itself felt smooth and stress-free, and multiple guests even told us how impressed they were by the coordination. That’s the biggest compliment — because it meant we got to be present, have fun, and soak it all in. We’re so grateful to Stephanie and Jenn, and we would recommend Best Day Ever to anyone who wants their wedding to feel truly taken care of.
