About Dia Photography

Dia Photography

Owner/Photographer

I’m based in the Bay Area, where I capture the essence of iconic locations like Napa, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. . Proudly Mexicana, Spanish was my first language, and my close-knit Latino upbringing fills my work with warmth and authenticity. I aim to capture real moments – laughter, tears, and pure awe – with a passion for candid photography and a photojournalistic approach. When not at home, I hit the trails for hiking or enjoy long drives with my favorite podcast, "Something Was Wrong." At home, my fluffy tabby kitty and smart Australian Shepherd, Ocean, keep life interesting.

With over 6 years of experience, I understand the importance of finding someone who not only captures beautiful images but also makes you feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. With my expertise in wedding photography, I'll guide you through every step of the way. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day in a timeless way, and capture breathtaking photos that you'll cherish forever. Photos are one of the only tangible things that will let you relive all of the big moments but also all of the small ones. If you're feeling lost and overwhelmed I got you

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding.
Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
In my 6 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to shoot your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
You can expect about 60-80 images per hour of shooting. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
