    Beach house wedding

Save the date music for as phenomenal! From our first conference call over three months ago to the date of our wedding Jaimi was responsive and helpful making sure to give us an unforgettable experience! After having a 17 year engagement we wanted our wedding extra special and save the date music did exactly that. There is nothing in this world we would have traded this day for and having a string quartet (a great one at that) made it all the more special. Thank you over and over!!!

    Amazing musicians and DJ

Save The Date Music was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. They were easy to communicate with leading up to the big day, always responsive, and accommodating to our requests. On the day of, their talent truly shone through - the guitarist and violist had me tearing up before I even walked down the aisle with their beautiful performance. And Steve, the DJ, was the perfect complement, keeping everyone on the dance floor all night long. Save The Date Music was worth every penny and truly made our wedding unforgettable. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

Starting costs for events and weddings in the Triangle area are $350 for ceremony solo music, $800 for bands, and $600 for DJs. We will be happy to quote exact prices for your event as a part of a free planning consultation.
Save the Date matches your preferences for music types, level of formality, flow of your event, favorite songs, favorite instruments, and budget. You will also be able to hear sample music from performers to help match your needs. We can work with nearly any preference and would be happy to help you find the perfect music for your day.
The string quartet is the most versatile for all occasions. They can be heard in a large or more intimate venue and offer great balance. We have an extensive repertoire of string quartet music. For a smaller budget, a string trio is quite suitable and many of the standard wedding pieces have been arranged for trio. Duos of all combinations and solos are also available from Save the Date.
We primarily serve the Triangle region (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill). We charge per mile for venues located 25 miles outside of the Triangle. If you’re unsure if your event is in our service region, Nearly anything is possible with the right budget and proper notice.
The string groups, the musicians need armless chairs that have flat seats. We will need adequate lighting but can provide our own stand lights when necessary. The musicians bring their own music stands as well as clips for performing outdoors in windy conditions. Some groups have microphones and sound systems (as do all of our DJs).
Playing over a period of time is demanding. Performers will take a break of 5 – 7 minutes after each 50 minutes of playing. If your event includes speeches or presentations we will coordinate breaks to coincide with your schedule.
It is usually not necessary to meet in advance or to attend wedding rehearsals. Details are communicated via email and/or telephone. That said, the director is always happy to meet with clients at their request as are the DJs, particularly if there is any complicated sequencing or an unusual venue involved.
In general, yes, special requests are fine as long as sheet music representing decent arrangements are available to download or purchase. We do need at least 5-6 weeks advance notice in order to obtain the best available arrangement of the music. In some cases there may be an extra fee for this service but we are all adept at finding suitable arrangements to download at a minimal cost.
Yes, if the event is scheduled between March 15 and October 15th (with some exceptions) when the temperature is between 65º and 90º, and there is no rain or chance of rain, we are happy to perform outdoors. Shelter, such as a tent, gazebo, porch or canopy for protection from the elements is ideal. Please note take the position of the sun for the time of day and date of your event.
When we arrive at the venue we will have a quick discussion with the event coordinator and/or wedding officiant to agree on cues/signals for starting the processional music. You do not need to be concerned about sequencing of the music. Our musicians are very adept at timing the end of the music to suit the flow of the ceremony.
The deposit is non-refundable except under special circumstances, and the entire fee is due if there is a cancellation within a month of the event. We do have a clause in our contract accounting for "Acts of God" which includes pandemics, tornadoes, hurricanes, and storms. We gladly reschedule with the client under these circumstances. If rescheduling is not possible, we refund all monies.
If a family member or acquaintance is singing/ playing at your wedding, we are glad to accompany them if requested. We need lead time to acquire the same music arrangement and will schedule a rehearsal immediately prior to when we start the prelude music to the ceremony (1 hour before the start of the ceremony). There may be an additional fee for this rehearsal if it exceeds 30 minutes.
1) Fill out the inquiry form on our website & Kitty will be in touch with you immediately or contact us by email/phone with event date, time and venue. 2) Kitty will reserve the group you ultimately select. 3) A contract will sent stipulating all conditions including deposit amount and balance due date. 4) The lead musician of your group will contact you to discuss/finalize music selections.
