There aren't enough words to express how grateful we are to the entire team at the Union Bluff Meeting House for giving us the wedding of our dreams. If we could relive our wedding day over and over again, we would choose Union Bluff every single time. When we first started wedding planning, Neico and I struggled to find a venue that truly fit what we envisioned. We knew we wanted an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends, but so many venues seemed geared toward large weddings or made smaller weddings feel like an afterthought. The moment we found Union Bluff and learned about their micro wedding options, we instantly knew we had found the one. It offered everything we were looking with the beauty, elegance, and luxury of a larger venue while still allowing us to have the intimate celebration we had always dreamed of. From our very first conversation, Annie made us feel completely at ease. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but she was always calm, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. What meant the most to us was that she never pressured us to make decisions based on trends or tried to upsell us. Instead, she listened to what was important to us, respected our vision, and reassured us every step of the way that everything would come together beautifully. We hosted our entire wedding weekend at Union Bluff, from our guests' accommodations to the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dining. Every single part of the experience exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, and our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was. The food was incredible and plentiful, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully executed. When our wedding day finally arrived, Annie and Gabrielle were nothing short of amazing. Together, they kept everything running so smoothly that we never had to think about logistics. They were always nearby, ready to answer questions from us or our guests, solve problems before we even knew they existed, and make sure everyone felt taken care of. Because of them, we were able to be fully present, soak in every moment, and simply enjoy getting married. I spent months dreaming about every little detail, and seeing everything come together was surreal. Annie and the Union Bluff team brought our vision to life even more beautifully than we imagined. Every decoration was exactly where it belonged, every transition was seamless, and every part of the day felt effortless. Looking back, one of the greatest gifts they gave us was peace of mind. The Union Bluff Meeting House didn't just provide us with a beautiful venue, they created an experience that our families, friends, and we will cherish forever. To Annie, Gabrielle, and the entire staff: thank you for caring so deeply about what you do. Your kindness, professionalism, and genuine dedication made our wedding unforgettable, and we will always be grateful. If you're looking for a venue that combines breathtaking scenery, exceptional food, comfortable accommodations, and a team that truly cares about bringing your vision to life, we cannot recommend the Union Bluff Meeting House enough. Choosing Union Bluff was one of the best decisions we made, and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Scotland Fields
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
York, ME
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Raw space
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $24,500

Scotland Fields is a classic Maine wedding venue with a modern touch. With panoramic views of tidal marshlands, woods and preserve, the estate includes two newly renovated, historic homes, a multi-level barn, and an unparalleled view of the sunset. Every element has been thoughtfully restored— retaining the perfect amount of charm combined with present-day luxury. We rent the entire estate for four nights, from Thursday to Monday and can comfortably sleep 26 guests. Surrounded by stunning views and Maine salt air, we are just 15 minutes from downtown Portsmouth, NH and the fine restaurants, arts, and culture of the Seacoast. And only an hour from Boston or Portland.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Classic, vintage atmosphere

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Does not have a dance floor
I looked into countless wedding venues all across New England, but when my then-fiancé and I arrived at Scotland Fields for our venue tour, I immediately knew that it was the place we needed to host our wedding weekend. That gut feeling that this was somewhere really special never wore off, and I know that all of our guests felt that same feeling throughout the entire weekend. We also don't have enough positive things to say about the Scotland Fields team. My husband and I had a very specific vision about how we wanted our weekend to come together, and the team was nothing but accommodating to allow us to create the weekend that we envisioned. They were responsive when we had questions, helpful when we needed recommendations and guidance, and prompt to resolve anything that came up throughout the weekend (not that there was much of anything to resolve!!). We could not recommend this venue more highly, and will forever be grateful for the weekend that Scotland Fields allowed us to curate!

The View at Pepperrell Cove was an absolute dream for our wedding reception! This spot has always been our favorite restaurant on the Seacoast, so choosing it as our wedding venue was a no-brainer. With all of our guests traveling in from out of town, we wanted to give them a true taste of the Seacoast—and this venue captured it perfectly. From the stunning waterfront views to the cozy, coastal ambiance, it felt like Maine magic. Working with Dionna, the wedding coordinator, was a highlight of the planning process. Her communication was always prompt and clear, and she went above and beyond to make sure every detail came together seamlessly. We truly felt supported the whole way through. And the food... WOW. Meeting with their incredible chef, Eides, was such a special part of our planning experience. He worked with us to create a menu that reflected our favorite flavors and seasonal ingredients, and the result was beyond anything we could have imagined. Guests are still talking about the food—and when you’re investing in a wedding, having that be everyone’s favorite part just feels so good. We truly can’t recommend The View at Pepperrell Cove enough. From the staff to the service, the views to the cuisine, everything was flawless. We’re already dreaming about hosting future celebrations here. Our guests even joked we should make it an annual tradition—because it was that memorable. If you’re considering a wedding on the Seacoast, this is an easy YES!
