With panoramic views of tidal marshlands, woods and preserve, the estate includes two newly renovated, historic homes, a multi-level barn, and an unparalleled view of the sunset. We rent the entire estate for four nights, from Thursday to Monday and can comfortably sleep 26 guests. Historic, breath taking 4 story barn The farm and barn are about 200 years old, and the barn was originally used for cows. Over the years, it has been very well taken care of, so the original beams are still there, in sizes and shapes that you just can't get anymore! The owners are the third generation in their family to take care of the property and are very grateful to be the current stewards. The barn renovations completed in 2020 and it is all ADA compliant and up to code. In the barn, there is a full sound system, 14 chandeliers, a beautiful live edge bar top, two high end composting toilets (the flushing kind!), massive barn blue doors on each end, and a grand entrance staircase. The barn holds up to 200 people and is big enough that you don't have to rent a tent even with tables and chairs, a major benefit and money saver! In the event of rain, you can use the barn as a ceremony and reception space.

Our story begins in 1858 when Frank Jones arrived in Portsmouth with a dream of brewing ale. Within three decades, The Frank Jones Brewery became the largest ale producer in the country. As ale production expanded, the brewery added a cooperage and scald house to clean the barrels. Workers used scalding hot rocks to sanitize barrels because soap and water would cause them to warp. Once cleaned, the barrels were filled with Jones’ signature ales. The Hawthorn now occupies this Scald House, retaining its original red-brick walls, towering beams, and industrial windows. “Cheers,” then, has a whole new meaning at The Hawthorn. When you raise your glass at your event, you’ll be toasting in a place that’s positively brewing with Portsmouth ale-making heritage and local history.

This iconic 1801 meetinghouse, known for its Federalist style architecture, is located within the historic district of downtown Newburyport, Ma. Its steeple, a renowned symbol of this quaint New England town, is visible from miles around. Atop the steeple sits a bell crafted by the Paul Revere & Sons foundry in 1816. Inside the meeting house, your guests will sit in the original box pews surrounded by 41 large pane glass windows which illuminate the sanctuary with natural light all year round. The meetinghouse also houses the 1834 Joseph Alley organ and an 1898 Steinway model A grand piano. The space is also set up for live streaming.

The 2,100-acre Crane Estate is an unforgettable destination for your special event with its winding salt marshes, miles of barrier beach, and beautiful hilltop mansion. Chicago industrialist Richard T. Crane, Jr. first purchased the land that would become The Crane Estate in 1910. Crane was captivated by the beautiful landscape, and over the next two decades worked with some of America's leading architects and landscape architects to shape his summer retreat, sited with hilltop vistas of the Atlantic in an area of the property known as Castle Hill. In 1928, Castle Hill was crowned with a 59-room Stuart-style mansion designed by world-renowned architect David Adler. Today, the Crane family mansion is known as The Great House on The Crane Estate and is protected, along with the rest of Castle Hill, as a 165-acre National Historic Landmark.

In 2007, Chestnut Street Church, already on the National Registry of Historic Places, was purchased and completely renovated, turning it into a locally loved and nationally acclaimed restaurant, Grace, in 2009. Grace operated as a full service restaurant and event space until 2019 when we again reimagined the beautiful structure to concentrate only on the event side of the business so we could make more room for beautiful weddings, exciting functions and our commitment to having space for our community efforts.

Woodfords Club is an historic venue in Portland, Maine. Incorporated as a social club in 1913, the charm of this era has been maintained through recent restoration efforts as is seen in the lobby room you step into upon entering the Club. A Banquet Hall with stage area provides ample room to meet the needs of any occasion. Smaller rooms and a commercial kitchen add to the opportunities for your event. Originally designed in 1880, Moraine Farm has been hailed as "the finest existing example of Frederick Law Olmsted's approach to planning a country estate" by pre-eminent Olmsted scholar Charles E. Beveridge. Olmsted created lawns, hedges, rustic stone walls, and a magnificent meadow – and collaborated with Boston architects Peabody and Stearns to design a massive stone terrace facing the lake, extending the shingle-and-stone house into the landscape. The farm took its name from a low ridge of glacial debris, called a moraine, which Olmsted used to provide an elevated vantage point for the paths and carriage drives that looped through 75 acres of coniferous forest, passed lake and meadow views, and climbed to an overlook on the edge of the 40-acre farm.

Maple Rock Farm is one of the oldest homesteads in Parsonsfield, ME. Rich with history, this 14-acre property is home to a 5-bed room colonial farmhouse and gorgeous post-and-beam barn. From the upper and lower apple orchards to the 100-year old maple grove adorning the entranceway, this beautifully nostalgic location brings all New England has to offer to one place.
