    Highly Professional and easy to work with venue

    Unexpected Farm has a beautiful location. The owner and her staff maintain the equine property in pristine condition. The staff is extremely friendly and easy to work with. They go above and beyond to make each and every event, big or small to be the most magical day possible.

    Beautiful Farm Wedding

    Unexpected Farm was the perfect backdrop for our fall wedding. The foliage on the property was absolutely beautiful and the views of the lake were breathtaking at sunset. I am a horse owner so having horses involved in some way was very important to me. Having them in the background while getting married was the perfect touch to make my wedding so memorable. Getting married can be difficult at times the fact that the property owners were easy to work with throughout the whole process, made everything so much simpler.

Yes, we have a half mile track with free self parking.
Yes, but it must be served by a licensed bar tender.
Only the outdoor space and bridal party prep room are included in the rental fee. We recommend tent rental.
Your reservation is from 9 am to 11 pm. All clean must be done by 11 am the following. All trash must be removed from the property.
A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The remainder of the fee is due 30 days prior to the date of rental. Full refund can be given if cancellation is made at least 90 day prior. No refund if cancellation is within 30 days of the event.
The closest airport is the Portland Internation Jetport in Portland, ME just a 45 minute drive down the interstate.
Yes, you need to provide your own event insurance.
No, the animals are for your viewing pleasure only. They may only be used as backdrops to your photos.
Yes, all outdoor facilities are wheelchair accessible.
You will need to rent your porta potties for guests. There is a bathroom available for the wedding party.
Our peak season is June-October.
We do not rent out the space November through May.
