Not only have I hosted a few memorable events at Barrett’s Olde Scotland Links but I have attended many there as well. One of the most memorable was our wedding! When you book your special day with Ally you immediately feel at ease and a priority throughout the entire process. She takes the time to go over every detail and is always available through text or email. The menu choices are amazing and if you don’t see something you like, just ask. The chefs love to get creative to make your wedding day perfect! There are multiple gorgeous photo opportunities to capture those perfect pictures, from the lush greens to a beautiful wooden bridge. We had our wedding on 6/22/2024 at Angel & Anchor Farm with 125 guests. It was absolutely the best day ever thanks to the venue owners, Bill and Nicole. The venue is absolutely stunning. There are so many spots on the farm for your ceremony, for photos, etc. The farm was in full bloom in June as well. The bridal and groomsmen suite were also stunning, and offered a beautiful and cozy space for everyone to get ready in the morning. Bill and Nicole are also incredible. They truly did everything possible to make our wedding day so special. We didn't have to worry about a single thing, they were on it. From making adjusting for weather, setting up our beautiful reception tent, to attending the fire and more, they made our day absolutely flawless. If anything went wrong, my husband and I didn't know about it because Bill and Nicole just took care of it. We absolutely loved our wedding day and our guests kept saying the same. The farm is sprawling and offers so much space for guests to walk around and mingle. Everyone truly had an amazing time. Couldn't recommend the venue enough.

The Coach Grill is one of our favorite regular restaurants, serving delicious steaks among other things. I have hosted two special celebrations in a private room there-my mother's 90th birthday and my wife's 60th birthday. Both were huge successes. All the guests commented on the great food, excellent service and warm ambiance. I highly recommend the Coach Grill for your special events too.

I had the pleasure of working with Hope Lodge Venue recently as a wedding photographer and I can say they are a fantastic choice . Their communication style is incredibly responsive, helpful, and enthusiastic - they go above and beyond to ensure every detail is taken care of. Great quality of work for a the value ; the venue is open, clean, bright, and airy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wedding or big event . One memorable example was when the staff dressed up along with the Gatsby-themed wedding, truly immersing themselves in the couple's vision. My only suggestion would be for them to potentially expand their parking area in the future, but overall, Hope Lodge Venue is an excellent option for couples seeking a beautiful, well-managed wedding venue and one they could decorate and make their own.

From the moment we walked in, we knew The Barn at Mistletoe Acres Tree Farm was a special place. We knew from the moment we drove into the parking lot that this was going to be our venue! We had an appointment with Cathy O'Brien (we still keep in touch with her to this day) and were floored with her honesty, advice, excitement, and recommendations that we signed a contract that day. Our wedding and reception were held in Paige Hall in January of 2023 and it was stunning. The staff went above and beyond, and we can honestly say that the entire event went smoothly. The food was amazing and the portions are bigger than we could have expected--not a single guest needed to do a late night Wendy's run as this was not the typical wedding food that we are used to getting at other places. From the event coordinator to the service staff, everyone was incredibly kind and professional. The property itself is comfortable, there is plenty to do on-site as well as in the area, and we recommend opting for renting The Cottage for a post wedding hangout--it is a great spot for those that want to continue spending time together after the reception is over. We have been back to the Publick House more than a few times since the wedding, as we live close enough to do so. Often we will go for dinner, but the wedding package includes a 1yr Anniversary dinner and they will even make you your wedding cake again--and that dinner was delicious. We have felt welcomed each time we have gone back and will probably make our way there this weekend as writing this has brought back a lot of happy memories. We highly recommend this venue and we hope our feedback has been helpful to anyone who is looking into the Publick House.

The Tirrell Room is a hidden gem. I cannot speak highly enough of Jen, Amy, Tina, Dennis, Kenny, and the rest of the Tirrell Room staff. Jen and Amy helped through our entire planning process. Putting our minds at ease and making the stress of wedding planning practically 0. Dennis and Kenny, as well as the rest of the kitchen staff, accommodated to every food restriction our guest had. The food was raved about the entire night! The Tirrell Room staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodating. We discovered this venue through Zola and fell in love with it immediately from the very first look online. Right away, we knew it felt like the perfect place for our wedding day! We scheduled a tour on January 29, 2023, and brought our parents along because we wanted to see if they liked it as much as we did. Seeing the venue in person, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Moira showed us every detail of the property, including the Barn and the Winthrop Room (the two reception spaces), the Alpheus Room (indoor ceremony space), the patio, and the beautiful lawn where we could take family, wedding party, and bride-and-groom photos. By the end of the tour, we knew this was the one, and we officially booked our wedding for October 26, 2024. Throughout the planning process, the venue staff’s professionalism and experience stood out. Moira was able to answer any and all questions we had about any aspect of the wedding from the dimensions of the arbor in the Alpheus room to special meal accommodations for a guest. Also, we initially planned our ceremony for 5 PM but realized that with our late-October date, we wouldn’t have enough daylight for formal photos after the ceremony. We talked to Moira, and we were able to adjust the timeline, pushing the ceremony earlier so we could capture outdoor photos before sunset. On the big day, everything exceeded our expectations! The food was a highlight, with our guests raving about all of the food, which included filet of beef, grilled salmon, vegetable lasagna, and chicken tenders for all the kids (or kids at heart). The venue also ensured that we had some food to eat during the photo session during cocktail hour to make sure that we were happy and not hangry while taking pictures! Because of the earlier ceremony time, we were able to utilize the gazebo on the property for some formal photos and a first look with Kayla and her dad before the ceremony. During the cocktail hour, we took the remaining photos out on the lawn with the stunning fall colors as a backdrop. Overall, The Barn at Wight Farm supported us in every way and did everything necessary to give us the wedding of our dreams. We can’t recommend it more!

On the big day itself, Jenn went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The venue itself is simply stunning - an elegant, antique home that has indescribable charm. The grounds are immaculately kept, the porch is perfect for a first look, and the tent is fantastic. We received so many compliments from our guests on our venue choice. We recently celebrated our wedding July 3, 2024 and we had it at the Adams Inn. We can not say enough good things about the venue for both ceremony and reception. Simple yet classy, having it at the Adams Inn was the only venue we wanted..It checked off all of our boxes. Denise Murphy, the venue manager was very accommodating and responsive to any of my requests. Our friends and family had such a good time. Thanks to the Adams Inn and all of our wonderful vendors!!

When searching for a venue, we were looking for an industrial aesthetic with the flexibility to use our own vendors, and Garage B checked all the boxes. We absolutely loved this space. It’s the perfect blank canvas for any occasion, and we appreciated the freedom to incorporate multiple unique vendors. For our wedding, we had a taco stand, an ice cream truck, a caricature artist, and a raw bar—all of which made for a memorable experience. What stood out most was the ability to blend Asian traditions with a modern twist, creating a day that truly reflected us. A unique feature of Garage B is the garage doors, which you can utilize creatively to enhance the event's flow and aesthetic. Jenna was wonderful to work with—she was highly responsive, supportive, and instrumental in bringing our vision to life. The only small challenge was our guest count. We were the first to host 200 guests in the space, which created an intimate and romantic atmosphere, but guests were seated quite close together. For future events, I would recommend a guest count closer to 150-180 for a bit more breathing room. Despite this, everything came together beautifully, and we had an incredible wedding day. Thank you to the team at Garage B for helping us create such a special event!

My bouquet & the bridesmaids were breathtaking and she nailed all my inspo I sent her! She did our arbor also and it was stunning!! The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!

We cannot recommend Pagu highly enough for your wedding or event. From the very first email, they were unlike any of the venues we had reached out to. Overall, Pagu is flexible, which not only made wedding planning MUCH less stressful, but it made our wedding personal to us. Every time we had a question, they had an answer and a solution. You’re not messing around with rentals for plates, chairs, tables, linens or tons of decor. The space is beautiful and already functions so well as a restaurant, allowing you to just be their guest on your wedding day. The FOOD! Multiple guests came up to us and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was hot, fresh, aesthetically plated and delicious. The family style sharing was relaxed, fun and nobody had to wait in line. The cake was so light and beautifully decorated. Day-of, what really stood out was the exceptional service and kindness we received from the entire team at Pagu. Everyone who works there was so positive, accommodating, and thoughtful. When I was “hiding” before the ceremony, the team delivered an entire tea/coffee service with some of the food to make sure I got something to eat! When we got back to our hotel, we found a portion of each dish in our fridge, just because they heard we hadn’t finished our second course or dessert while we were socializing. It was above and beyond thoughtful! Beyond taking extremely good care of us, all of our guests commented that it was one of the most relaxing weddings because the Pagu team thought of everything. At most weddings, there’s not a server checking in with you about your allergies, restrictions, and if you would like a drink. Since Pagu is a restaurant, you get outstanding restaurant-quality service. They even made a last minute, individual substitution for a new dietary restriction on the spot, and allowed that guest to enjoy the food, too! Another huge bonus was there was almost no bar line, since they’re used to making drinks for this many people! Other highlights of our experience include doing the cocktail creation session with Jimmy. We aren’t big drinkers, so we almost didn’t do this, but we are so glad we did - it was a blast, and the guests loved the personal cocktails. We highly recommend it! The space is gorgeous, the people are a dream, and the food was outstanding. Amanda (the venue coordinator/manager) was so easy to work with and on top of everything. Even our very traditional families (who were very skeptical when we said we were getting married at a restaurant) said afterwards it was one of the best weddings they’d been to.
