The Cedars Ranch

“The Cedars Ranch has done a wonderful job creating a warm, open, and welcoming space to host a wedding and wedding reception. One of the highlights of the day for me was getting ready in the yurt on their property, it's tucked back away from the hustle and bustle so I just got the relax with my bridesmaids in a very tranquil setting. We chose to have our ceremony area face west so we got some lovely pictures of the sun starting to go down as we said our vows, and the reception area is strung up with twinkle lights over it, a must-have for me :) The Cedars Ranch was the perfect mix of outdoor rustic and modern and we loved that they were so environmentally conscious. Communication was great and Marilyn and Bill patiently answered all our questions as we were figuring out how we were going to make everything work. The fire pit was a big hit with the kiddos (s'mores station) and the area next to the great hall fit Torchy's food truck (largest food truck in the country) perfectly. Would highly recommend any couple to tour this wonderful venue.”

Hey there! I'm Matthew, an experienced photographer with nearly 30 years of experience behind the lens specializing in budget-friendly, high-quality photography based out of Leander, Texas. I have been shooting since I was about ten years old on 110 cameras, in high school I learned to shoot on a 35 MM camera. Professionally I accepted my first paid shoot in 1996, a boudoir session for the girlfriend turned wife of a friend deploying overseas with the Army. I earned $50 and a six-pack of beer for a one-hour session on a Canon AE1 35 MM film camera I bought at a yard sale.

“When we were planning our elopement style wedding day, we were certain we wanted to hire a photographer. However, we were overwhelmed with the confusing packages and high costs until we found Matthew Chambers photography. We highly recommend hiring him for a no-fuss, easy experience. This was our first time hiring a photographer. We liked his simple 3 tiers of service (raw only, partial-service, or full service) and that he charges hourly based on service. The business model just made sense and fit our modest wedding budget. His common-sense pricing made professionally capturing our day accessible. We also liked that he is locally based in Leander and that he has a broad portfolio in case we wanted to re-hire him for future milestones/events. Most of our communication was done electronically via Zola or texting. With our busy schedules, this was preferred to make arrangements. So we met Matthew for the first time on our wedding day! Matthew was delightfully conversational and chatty which made relaxing easier. We loved the mixture of capturing moments “as is” and having him coach us through staged photos. He was very patient with our poor choreography skills. We had more fun with the posed photos than anticipated! Matthew was early to shoot and had a faster than promised turn around on photos. Less than 24 hours for access to raw photos and about 10 days for initially edited photos. While I say this, please note that we had a smaller project and turn around times can vary. The one thing we would do differently is length of booking. My husband and I were CERTAIN 2 hours would be more than enough for our simple nature elopement, but we probably could have booked 3 hours. We got all the shots we agreed upon (and more!), but it was more fun than expected. “The moment” truly goes by quicker than expected. So if you’re unsure, go ahead and book the extra time & savor the moment. Note: we found Matthew via Zola. My bestie recommended that I make a wedding site even though we were eloping. I’m glad I listened! One of the best things out of doing this was the “vendor locator” service on Zola. It connected us to photographers interested in working with us and got us directly messaging them. I read Matthew’s website and just instantly liked him and his work. “I found Chris and his team through Zola and after chatting my husband and I both knew he would be an integral and perfect part of our day and we were right! Chris and his team were prompt, kind, thoughtful, and had plenty of experience taking both posed and candid shots. He caught the best parts of our day! I had so many family members comment on how impressed they were that Chris took photos and then blended back into the crowds and he was so professional. “I cannot recommend this bartending service enough! From the moment I first reached out to them to the very end of our wedding night, April and her team went above and beyond in every way. Their communication was excellent, and they truly cared about making everything perfect. My venue was initially a little skeptical because they didn’t have a ton of Google reviews, but April immediately set up a meeting with the venue manager and completely wowed them. By the end of that meeting, they were fully approved, and even the venue staff was impressed. On the wedding day, their team worked tirelessly and stayed until midnight, making sure everything ran smoothly. They even helped with things that weren’t part of bartending, which took so much stress off my shoulders. Not only were they incredibly affordable, but it was so clear that they genuinely cared about our wedding—not just the paycheck. Their level of service and heart is unmatched. I’m so grateful I found them—they were one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. If you’re considering booking them, do it. You will not regret it!”

“Katya went above and beyond to bring my wedding vision to life. Not only that but she took it an extra mile to find the places at our venue where florals would make the biggest impact. I can honestly say it was the most beautiful day of my life with Katya's help! After interviewing many florists and being discouraged at 20,000 quotes and beyond, it was such a relief to find Katya who delivered the same quality and elegance at half the price. She even stayed and greeted me when I entered the reception to see our reaction to all the beautiful flowers. It's clear she's truly passionate about what she does and it shows. Her kindness and support for my husband and I were just the icing on top of her expertise and eye for design. “So Red Ridge is a 10/10! Bethany and Chris are seasoned pros. Their preparation and organization paid off for the wedding. They kept the bride and groom on schedule, ensured their choices were followed for every option, and Cari got ensured their vision came to life. This is truly an all inclusive venue with so many beautiful additions. They mentioned the sunset would be beautiful and the views on the hill would be stunning. Every view was gorgeous both inside and out, and honestly they undersold the looks. The pictures are amazing. Bethany oversaw everything to ensure a magical evening. The staff working on the night of the wedding were so prepared. The food was fantastic and plentiful. The bar under the covered patio created such a fun environment. They encouraged the bride and groom to create specialty cocktails which added a fun flair. One special touch was to respond very late at night to find the missing wedding certificate which was extremely appreciated! We would trust them again and highly recommend them to anybody.”

“We hired Austin Sound Man (Brian and Sean Curtis) for our wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic. From the ceremony to the reception, everything went off without a hitch. Brian was so easy to work with, easy to talk to, and just genuinely kind. They played every song we requested and did an amazing job reading the room and adding music that perfectly matched our vibe. The dance floor was packed all night, seriously. Even Grandma came out to dance! We had the best time and so much fun celebrating our special day. The sound quality was perfect, and the lighting Brian brought added such a fun atmosphere. Their pricing is extremely reasonable, and the level of professionalism and quality of service they provide is top-notch. We can’t recommend Austin Sound Man enough!”
