Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Whether you are looking for a memorable barn wedding venue for your special day, a unique event space for your corporate meeting, or a beautiful place to celebrate one of life's special moments, the Texas Rock House is the place to be! I (and my family) have had many wonderful memories in this place - and hope you do too!

We had our wedding at Texas Rock House and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is gorgeous with its rustic charm and spacious layout. Throughout the planning process, Erin and her staff were extremely helpful, communicative, and available to answer any questions we had. They were positive, hardworking, organized, and so reliable - I trusted them completely to help our big day run smoothly. The venue was decorated beautifully and every detail was perfect. Texas Rock House was the ideal setting for our wedding and truly made our day special. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

Booked a weekend with Melrose for our dearest friends - we floated the river daytime and spent the afternoon at the pool before utilizing their brand new event pavillion. We even did a casual dinner one night under the Veranda which I loved. The lighting and charm of the space left us stilla t the table after 10pm. Morning after a group of us took our coffee and sat down by the river. Some sat, some swam. The kind of low-key, high-quality, high-low weekend that's harder to find than it should be. They fill a huge need in central Texas. The team was fantastic - they took care of returning our floats to the vendor without us even asking, and generally just let us do our thing. The property has this dialed-in vibe where everything's thoughtful but nothing feels fussy. My friends are still bringing it up months later, which says everything. It's rare to find a place that gets the details right without making a production of it. Easy drive from Austin & San Antonio which makes it a perfect destination for gathering.

I cannot say enough positive things about Mary Anna. Starting the wedding planning process, my husband and I were unsure if we really wanted a coordinator as we both work in the hospitality industry and have planned many events ourselves, but took the jump and hired Mary Anna as our coordinator. Now that the day has passed, I can say with 100% certainty our wedding would not have been what it was without her. She worked so hard the entire day. Two Shakes and a Twist completely exceeded our expectations! From the very beginning, they were easy to contact, responsive, and genuinely excited to help make our big day perfect. They worked closely with us throughout the entire process—from booking to the final pour—and everything was smooth and effortless. The bartenders were incredibly time-efficient (our guests never had to wait long for a drink!) and they went out of their way to make sure my husband and I were taken care of all night. One of the standout touches was the adorable custom bar sign they helped create—it added the perfect personal detail to our setup! As for the drinks—perfection. Our signature cocktails were an Old Fashioned, a Ranch Water, and a Pomegranate Lemon Martini (which they recommended and it turned out to be absolutely delicious and so refreshing—especially for our Texas June wedding). If you’re looking for bartenders who are professional, personable, and truly care about making your event amazing, I can’t recommend Two Shakes and a Twist enough!

We specialize in hosting destination wedding weekends for events and lodging. At the heart of Lucky Arrow Retreat you’ll find our Event Venue, which features 1500 square feet of conditioned space plus an additional 1500 square foot rooftop deck. A covered wraparound porch, separate restrooms, space for catering setup, an included projector with HDMI input and vintage PA system round out the amenities housed under a generous 12’ ceiling. Our time at Lucky Arrow was so perfect! We had a non traditional Sunday morning ceremony, followed by a mimosa cocktail hour and pool party reception. We planned this special day with our 25(ish) closest loved ones in 3 months and it was a breeze! The only hiccup in the planning portion was change over in roles, so somethings were slightly miscommunicated and needed to be reiterated. However this was extremely minor and before our big day, so remedied easily. Our wedding weekend was a dream and went off without a hitch! The only thing I would mention is that because we were a morning wedding, and I needed the bridal suite starting at 6am, there was no one on site, so we needed to find someone from the cleaning crew/maintenance to turn the AC down. Again, remedied quickly and without issue!! Everything the morning of was set up to my liking, and when we needed hired staff from the Lucky Arrow, they were at their post and ready to bartend/help! It was definitely worth the price we paid and they worked with us to get everything we dreamed in our budget!
