When we stepped into The Sanctuary for the first time we knew we had found a hidden gem. We spent two years planning our wedding, and the crew at Berry Acres were LIFE SAVERS! They answered every question we had, whether in person or in email, as quickly as they could. For the two years we planned, they kept in constant contact to check up on us and see if we needed help. They even let us display my husband's late father's project car inside. On wedding day, Emma constantly checked on us to make sure we were eating and staying hydrated, all while helping our family set up. If I could rate make than 5 stars, I would. I recommend them to everyone.

Sound River Studios was the perfect venue for our May 2024 wedding! We had not initially considered a raw space for our wedding reception. However, after meeting with Una and discussing the seemingly infinite possibilities for the space (along with soaking in the spectacular views of NYC), we were completely sold on the venue. We are so glad we made the choice to celebrate our wedding at Sound River Studios! We took advantage of the dock at the venue and had our guests arrive to cocktail hour by boat which was a unique highlight. The dock is also a beautiful spot for photos! Una was beyond helpful in the planning process and she was always available to answer any questions we had or to brainstorm ideas with us and our vendors. We would highly recommend Sound River Studios to any couple looking to have a memorable NYC wedding!

My husband and I got married here on May 11th, and it was truly a dream wedding. The food was amazing, and my guests were sure to let me know that. The view was unreal, and upkeep was so great we didn't need to spend much on floral, since the Candlewood Inn has such beautiful scenery and foliage. Krista was my coordinator and she was extremely helpful during the entire I was engaged and planning up until the day of the wedding, she is the absolute sweetest. Delilah and Brooke were my wedding helpers, not sure of the right term, and they literally helped me with every single thing on my wedding day. They made sure i had a drink in hand, that I was ok, that I ate, that my dress was on right. I truly don't know what i would have done without them, they really showed they cared about me. I am so grateful I was able to get married in the most beautiful place close to home.

Milton Ridge was an incredible place to get married! The beauty of the venue and the inclusive wedding options (i.e. catering, DJ, etc.) made this the absolute perfect place to say, "I do!" The getting ready suites were superb & made the day of preparation before the ceremony seamless. The chapel was so beautiful and such a great little spot off the side of 355. Our guests still comment on the simplicity of how we decorated the chapel, and how beautiful the white walls and natural light streaming in were during the ceremony. I was not sure how we'd get group photos on the property... and our photographers were able to use the beautiful stone and green areas within the venue to capture the most beautiful photos of the bride, groom and the wedding party! Guests are still RAVING about how convenient it was to walk up a few stairs to the cocktail hour AND into the reception. They marveled at the ease... park your car, attend the ceremony and then stay and party all night long until it's time to leave! The reception hall was beautiful; the buffet food was to die for; and Meghan and Brandi ensured that EVERY detail of our wedding day was accounted for, seamless and flowing without any hitch! I cannot recommend Milton Ridge enough! Thank you for making our wedding day the most memorable and BEST day of our lives! We owe it to this team, this venue and their support with planning our wedding every step of the way!

Our experience with The Riverview was incredible from start to finish. The process of booking included a detailed tour of the venue and a thorough review of the terms and conditions at a meeting to sign the contract, leaving us confident that we fully understood what we were agreeing to. Our tasting event was a wonderful chance to see the team in action and make some decisions about our own menu based on what we did and didn’t like. We worked with Kayla and Meghan as our coordinators, both of whom were a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive throughout the planning process. We were able to take advantage of their expertise based on experiences with past weddings but still had the flexibility to customize the details of the day so that it didn’t feel like a “cookie-cutter” event. And the physical space is truly beautiful! Our planning experience was wonderful, but the experience with the venue and team on the day of our wedding was exceptional. Meghan’s positive but firm leadership kept things moving smoothly and between her and our attendants, Cam and Felicia, every detail was attended to! They were prepared for everything, even wardrobe malfunctions, makeup mishaps, and last-minute requests. We did quite a bit of DIY planning and customizing, but on the day of, we did not need to lift a finger! We were especially impressed the the special attention paid to our priorities. My husband and I were excited about our menu and prioritized food during our planning meetings. At our wedding, the venue made sure we had plenty of opportunity to eat, but the excitement of the day took away our appetite. The Riverview team packed up all of the food we couldn’t eat and sent us home with our leftovers (plus some!) so that we still got to enjoy our meal! Another item worth noting is that although two weddings took place that night, we never would have known it! We could not hear the other wedding in our ballroom and never encountered the other group during the entire time we were on site! In short, planning our wedding at The Riverview was an amazing experience, and the wedding day itself was even better! I’d encourage anyone to book!

My husband and I did an elopement but still wanted to have a big reception to celebrate; not many venues were willing or able to accommodate our non-traditional wishes however this did not stop the staff at the Roostertail. Their team worked with us, at all hours of the day, to put together the “happily ever after party” we dreamed of having. The view in and of itself is jaw dropping and the photos can’t even do it justice, you have to see in person to truly appreciate the beauty of the detroit skyline, waterfront, boats, etc. Nearly every guest came up to my husband and I and said that this was the most stunning reception venue they have ever been to. Even our DJ and one of my close friends told me they were going to look into the Roostertail for their future weddings! Aside from the Roostertail’s flexibility and stunning views their staff truly showed each of my guest such hospitality—even the owner stopped by for a while to chat with us and our guest! Special shout-out to Shawna, Martin, and Nicole for everything you guys did for my group that night!

If you want to have an upscale barn wedding that is a highly memorable affair this is absolutely the venue for you! Seven ponds was an absolute dream for our wedding. The location itself is breathtaking and gorgeous. To The mountains, the ponds, the farm animals to the tasteful decorations, us and our guests were blown away by the beauty of this venue. Beyond being beautiful, the team at seven ponds farm were incredible. The team is really there for you the whole weekend and to help ensure your wedding is a success. We had several older guests in need of help, and they were driven by a golf cart around the venue which was extremely helpful. The food and drinks were amazing, our guests are still raving about the food. And Maria, was amazing. Our wedding was amazing, and our vision came true, and we couldn’t have done it without the support and help from the team here at seven ponds. It was a wonderful experience working with The Vecoma by the Yellow River. They are top notch professionals. The food was the best I have ever had. (To name a few - Salmon, roast beef- caesar salad and Mac and cheese were so good).. The guests could not say enough good things about the food. The venue itself is gorgeous. We had a fall wedding down by the river. Leaves were falling and it was just magical. The cost for this venue is a steal. Book this place!! The owners are the best and everything is very organized. Caroline is a wonderful photographer and so easy to work with. The day went so smoothly. Within a few days, we received a few sneak peek photos and then a great short video of our wedding. Our day was wonderful and stress free thanks to these people! I have had three daughters get married, directed and decorated for many weddings in my lifetime- and I can honestly say- this is the best I have worked with and seen.

My husband and I had our wedding here Nov. 2024. Everything from the food, to the service, location, parking literally everything was perfect. I am being completely honest when I say I have no complaints. The evening went so smoothly thanks to the team at Vista Lago. They were constantly checking on my husband and I throughout our wedding. One of the most important details to me was the food and the food here was incredible. Everyone was raving about how great everything tasted. You have the ceremony, cocktail and reception all in one location. Not only is it great for weddings, but it is also great for baby showers, 15’s, birthdays and a lot of other fun events. It has high ceilings with beautiful chandeliers. It’s a gorgeous venue and the best value you will find in Miami. If you are anything like me and very indecisive and anxious, Vista Lago is the place to hold your wedding at. We are both incredibly happy we chose this venue and will be choosing this venue for future celebrations. They also gave us the left overs. We couldn’t eat on our wedding because of our nerves but we were able to enjoy the food the day after and everyone was right it was sooo good

They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! We highly recommend Diamond Mills!

We have nothing but positive things to say about our wedding at the Lippincott! Owners Marty and Tricia are a wonderful couple who are so easy to work with. It is clear that they do this because they are genuinely passionate about it and enjoy it. They were very attentive and clear about everything which made the planning a breeze and put us both at ease. Any requests or questions we had were met and answered with no problems. They run this venue like a well oiled machine. The day went so smoothly, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Tricia made sure we ate and were enjoying ourselves throughout the whole day. Many of our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Not only did they compliment the food, but our guests really loved the venue. The Lippincott is so beautifully decorated and the grounds are gorgeous. We really only had to provide our floral centerpieces and whatever extra decorations we wanted. They provided the tablecloths, runners, napkins, and lots of decorations. Best of all this venue is so affordable. The all inclusive packages were a great option and saved us so much time in looking for vendors. You cannot beat the value and price of this venue. If you are looking for a low stress and affordable venue, consider the Lippincott Manor!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
