We booked The Sanctuary as our venue back in 2023 when they were just re-opening, and we have zero regrets! Every New Yorker should have this place on its radar! The very first day we were there with Fonsi, we knew we were in good hands! Everything was perfect: the pier set-up for the ceremony, the open bar, grazing table and passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and finally the dessert table and pizza stations for the after party. The food was AMAZING and cooked on-site so it was as fresh as it can be! And then they seamlessly cleared out the cocktail area and transformed it into the dancefloor while we were all enjoying our dinner buffet in a separate tented pavillion. Shout out to Amelia, Frank, Artur, Cat, and the rest of their wonderful team!

To say Emily and the team at GBC made our dreams come true is an understatement. From the moment we met, we were immediately impressed with her positive attitude, attention to detail, and organization. We fell in love with the venue initially, but now upon reflecting, it was the collective efforts of the staff of Galilee Beach Club that we will forever cherish and appreciate for the rest of our lives. Emily patiently listened and worked hard throughout the entire process, answering endless emails from me, while collaborating with Chris the general manager, Chef Rob, and the rest of her event staff to make all of our ideas come to life. Emily’s planning meetings along the way were focused, thorough, and super informative. She made time (even during her hectic season) for us, always. We trusted her completely with our vision and she knocked it out of the park. For me, I was in awe of her attention to the little things… the plate of hors douerves delivered to the bridal suite for us right after the ceremony, the signature drinks in our toasting flutes during dinner, the floating candles she suggested for the sweetheart table, right down to Emily locating our missing marriage license moments before the ceremony! She did it all with grace and ease. I could trust Emily and her team to set up all of the decor without an ounce of worry and on top of the beautiful set-up, Emily and her team packed up everything (and I mean everything!) into my car that night which truly was an unbelievable service. Chris, the General Manager, was our officiant and he was incredible. We had only met Chris a handful of times before we got married, but we felt as if he was one of our good friends. He knew exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony. And the food! Everything was out of this world. Multiple guests claimed the short rib was the best they ever had. Chef Rob’s seared tuna steaks were prepared to perfection, even impressing a room full of tuna fisherman, which is certainly not an easy feat! The Galilee Beach Club was a warm, welcoming, highly professional, full service, simply spectacular place to get married. Our wedding surpassed our wildest dreams, which was undoubtedly the result of the hard work and long hours put in by Emily, Chris, Rob and the rest of the event staff at GBC. As two native Rhode Islanders and Galilee locals, we could not have had a more perfect setting for one of the most memorable days of our lives. We are forever grateful to have worked with such a remarkable team.

Berry Acres was outstanding for our March wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and it is was so easy to customize to make our vision come to life. The gold curtain backdrop in the reception hall made our photos extra magical. Emma was our planner and coordinator, and made sure everything went smoothly- from planning meetings months in advance, to the rehearsal, to our big day, down to making sure the tablecloths were just right. She made my dream come true of an outdoor ceremony, while wisely having a backup plan if the weather didn't cooperate. Our officiant shared how our wedding ended up being one of the smoothest he's ever been apart of because of her. My husband and I didn't have to stress about a thing because we knew we were in such good hands! If you're considering Berry Acres, go for it!!!! You won't regret a thing.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, rustic and elegant venue. Then choose Sadie Lake Weddings. It’s reasonably priced and they choose to cherish that weddings are for love not for money. DeeDee and her husband are both very nice people and go above and beyond to celebrate your day. I chose Sadie Lake Weddings because I am the baby of 5. My eldest sister and her husband got married there 18 years ago when it was called something different and owned by the Browns. I had the most beautiful wedding. My husband hopes in 10 years that if they’re still around, we’ll have our vow renewal there. It’s kept clean and beautiful during spring, summer and fall. We’re from Kirkland and from all the places I looked at online, Sadie Lake Weddings in Arlington, WA was the one. I knew it as soon as I met DeeDee on the first and last venue we looked at. So if you’re interested in Sadie Lakes. Go for it. You won’t be disappointed and Congratulations!!!!

My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

We absolutely loved our day at The Club at Corazon. The space is so versatile, with the outdoor ceremony space, the patio for cocktail hour, the bar and lounge area, and the ballroom. Our guests loved the variation in location for each part of the night. The lounge area allows guests who have less mobility to still feel like they are a part of the party. We loved the flow of the day. Halle is great, and staff from the Club continued to check in on myself, my husband, and both of our parents throughout the night to make sure everything was going well. Not to mention all of our photos look STUNNING because of the architecture and greenery. The view over the lake and the ivy wall were 2 of our favorites. We can't say enough amazing things about this venue.

We only needed to tour one venue, and it was Blenheim. After our initial walkthrough of the space, we were convinced that this was everything that we could want in a venue and then some. Having over 12 years of wedding planning experience, Min and Morten offered us assurance that our wedding day would be executed beautifully- and it was. The Blenheim family were incredibly detail-oriented, clear, and responsive during the planning process. They guided us through multiple virtual meetings, providing extensive planning documents to ensure our day would run smoothly. As a person that doesn't love planning, they supported me and offered suggestions- making sure that the day would flow effortlessly. Their natural, open, and beautifully rustic venue was the ideal location for our special celebration; the venue itself reflected us as a couple and we have not stopped receiving compliments on the venue and the attentive and personable staff at Blenheim. The food was absolutely delicious - our guests raved about the amazing appetizers during cocktail hour. We had many last-minute changes and the Blenheim team did not miss a beat in executing our every wish. We got married at Loulu Palm on September 14th 2024 and it was everything we dreamed of...and then some! From the first moment we stepped foot on Loulu we knew it was the one for us. But that was just the beginning- because shortly after meeting Nickie, we then met with Ashley (the best wedding coordinator on planet earth). Again, after just a couple minutes of chatting with her, we knew she was such a perfect fit for us and felt like we had already known her for years. So it wasn't even a question for us- but if it is for you- my advice would be to just do it. Without Ashley, our special day would not have even come close to how perfect everything was. Not to mention all the weeks and months leading up to it- I love how she always kept it real with us throughout the entire process (with timelines, vendor recommendations, design, layout, cost, etc), but with the most warmth and grace one could possibly have. Ashley is now our dear friend and we cannot wait to come back to visit one of our favorite places. 10/5 stars on both Ashley and Nickie and Loulu Palms!!!!

My husband and I did an elopement but still wanted to have a big reception to celebrate; not many venues were willing or able to accommodate our non-traditional wishes however this did not stop the staff at the Roostertail. Their team worked with us, at all hours of the day, to put together the “happily ever after party” we dreamed of having. The view in and of itself is jaw dropping and the photos can’t even do it justice, you have to see in person to truly appreciate the beauty of the detroit skyline, waterfront, boats, etc. Nearly every guest came up to my husband and I and said that this was the most stunning reception venue they have ever been to. Even our DJ and one of my close friends told me they were going to look into the Roostertail for their future weddings! Aside from the Roostertail’s flexibility and stunning views their staff truly showed each of my guest such hospitality—even the owner stopped by for a while to chat with us and our guest! Our wedding at Seven Ponds Farm was absolutely spectacular! The farm in the summer was beautiful and lush and made for a perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. Staying onsite was such a treat and made the weekend extra special. The farmhouse and Virginia queen were so comfortable made us feel like we were right at home while being right in the middle of all the action. The venue itself was the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance, with a scenic ceremony spot and a cozy reception barn. We loved being able to add our own DIY aspects to make it personalized to us as a couple. The staff was so lovely and helped us complete our vision seamlessly. Our family and friends are still raving about the venues, the amazing food (mushroom risotto!), the personalization and just how perfect everything was. From our first walkthrough at Riverview ballroom with Stefania to the end of the wedding, everyone at the venue was amazing - helpful, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. The space was immaculate, with beautiful views and multiple areas that worked perfectly for each part of the celebration, including a lovely outdoor ceremony ( chuppah) space. The many inclusions were a real bonus and made planning much easier: staging, chairs, tables, professional staff, bars, and valet service - which was greatly appreciated by our guests! Our band and party planner both found the venue extremely easy to work with, which truly contributed to a smooth and well-run event. We also used the venue’s recommended kosher caterer, Elite, and they did an outstanding job. The location is ideal—close to the city, easy to reach by car or public transportation. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding.

Melanie is an absolute pleasure to work with and ON TOP OF HER GAME!! And she has a great team by her side!! She/they has you covered no matter what. The venue is an ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM, the food was on point, cake was delicious and the DJ was great!! Every cent spent was WORTH IT!! We had an absolute fairytale, dream wedding come to fruition. The venue is pretty much all inclusive, all we had to supply was alcohol, officiant, photographer (they have fave vendors they work with). The food tasting is absolutely worth it and we have a fun time as well!! If you are considering this venue.... GO FOR IT!!! This is one of those things that we work hard so we can have what we want and not just paying bills to live. Casani Estates was an amazing venue for our wedding! The communication leading up to the big day with Carmen and Elizabeth was fantastic - they were so quick to answer every question I had. On the day of the wedding, we ended up having to move the ceremony indoors due to weather, and the staff was incredible, jumping in to make sure everything went smoothly. How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees.
