I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2017, starting as a DJ where my passion for connecting with people and creating unforgettable experiences led me to wedding planning. I’m a professional planner, DJ, officiant, and bartender with extensive experience in venue management, which helps me ensure every detail is flawless. I specialize in making each wedding unique, blending my expertise in entertainment and coordination to craft events that truly reflect each couple’s vision. I stay current with trends by attending annual conferences and love bringing joy to every celebration.

I love my job. For me, it’s kind of two-fold. One amazing part of the job is knowing that you are part of a couple’s most memorable day of their life—and assuming it goes well, they will remember you for it for the rest of their life. The other part is that I get to run a business and listen to music—two of my deepest passions. So running a DJ company mashes it all together in one great package.

JR Music Collective got its start with the simple idea of live music and DJ service from one vendor caught on across the region and the company began adding more musician/DJs to its roster. Oregon Bride Magazine first recognized JR Music Collective with an award in 2013. The collective has gone on to win awards every year since. This business came about from a little over a decade of hard work by Theodore in the Theatre and A/V event industries. Years of exceptional team building and execution of large-scale events, as well as a longstanding background of being musically educated (brass, 12 years), performing, and teaching music, led us to finally formalize the business in this format. What started as a way to aid individuals with throwing events (with less than abundant resources) has slowly turned into recurrent events of all kinds.

When I finished college, I decided to follow the call of my passion, the classical guitar. I bought a ticket to Spain, birthplace of the instrument and home to a rich and ancient musical tradition. After several years studying alongside some of the world’s greats and honing my performance skills, I began to hear a different call—that of my own roots, the Pacific Northwest—and I knew it was time to continue my travels. Although I have now returned home from Spain, my journey with the classical guitar is only beginning.

Scratchdog Stringband has been performing across the US since 2015, including a tour of Eastern Russia for the US State Department. Their music is a high energy, foot stomping brand of innovative bluegrass, country and swing with smartly crafted originals and exciting takes on classic Americana.

Boy and Bean is a live wedding band based out of Portland, OR. This group is comprised of a team of talented vocalists and instrumentalists, who will work to create the perfect soundtrack for your day.
