The venue was way better than expected. It was beautiful and had a place for all your needs. The waterfall is amazing as well as the arbor area. I really could not imagine we would have ever found a place that was so amazing. Everyone that attended our son’s wedding is really still talking about how amazing the wedding was along with the serene setting. I feel like this place is worth every penny spent. If you are looking for a venue you must check them out. It does not disappoint. We got some beautiful pictures and everyone had a fantastic time. They literally had everything you could need. The barn is were after the wedding and dinner everyone hung out. It is a completely magical place. The owners and their family made sure we had everything we needed. The bride and groom sweets were beautifully decorated and a super sweet place for the parties to get ready for the big day. A lot of fun was had that day. We hosted our wedding celebration at Parties on the Terrace this past September and it was the perfect venue for us! We wanted to find somewhere that we could leverage a more laid-back atmosphere and lean in on the natural features the venue provided. Patti was easy and great to work with on all the details. Very easy to get a hold of prior to and post the event. The inclusion of some items other venues would ask you to pay for made it affordable in the realm of venues (included shuttles from offsite parking, tables, chairs, cafe lights, etc) The venue was in bloom, and it felt like you were in a secret garden, couldn't have asked for a better day!

I am so glad we decided to go with Capitol City Barn. They had everything we needed. Tables, chairs, linens, things for decor, flexibility, heaters, arch for the altar, and more. On our wedding day we had clear skies in the forecast (rare for late October) and when the thunderstorm came in right at our ceremony time, they were quick to move things around so that we could have it outside only for the rain to stop and help us move it all outside again! I would recommend them to anyone getting married!

Relaxed alcohol policy. Your bar your way. Open vendor policy. Use any vendors you like. Our season runs mid-May through Labor Day.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Rustic-chic setting
  • Venue is completely outdoors
  • Bridal suite on site

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
Falling Water Gardens is a hidden gem located in Monroe. Not only is the location beautiful, but you also have various spaces to use for your ceremony and reception. There is tons of flexibility and a lot of options. Rick, Ken, and Liz were easy to work with, and always responded to our messages clearly and within a reasonable time frame. My husband and I only looked a handful of venues, and when I saw this one, I knew place was perfect for us. I didn't feel like I could justify the cost of a florist, and if you get married here, you don't need one. The flowers and trees in the event space are enough! Not only does Falling Water Gardens offer flexibility and different options for your ceremony and reception, but they also allow you to come check out the space while you are going through your planning. My husband and I went back to the space a few times while we were planning to get a visual for where our decor would be setup, where the bar would go, the DJ, etc. And if you give the venue a heads up that you are coming, someone will greet you and will answer any questions you may have. Some venues don't offer a lot in terms of setup, but Falling Water Gardens has 200 chairs and plenty of tables for you to use, and they will set all of that up for you. We did our decor on our own, but having the tables and chairs ready in the spaces was a huge help. They also have a large tent for the tables and chairs, and smaller easy up tents for your vendors. We had a bit of an issue with one of our photographers, and did not feel like we had adequate time to take photos as a couple. Because of this, my husband and I wanted to take more photos. When I contacted Liz to ask if we could return to the venue to take more photos, she said yes. Getting a chance to take more photos/re-do some photos made the experience that much better for us. Again, the flexibility, kindness, various options, and beautiful space are all here. Falling Water Gardens was there for us every step of the way, and they made sure our day was everything we wanted. I could not have asked for more when I found this venue.

If you/guest love camping this is a great place to rent out for a long weekend wedding. We rented out the whole camp Friday-Sunday afternoon and our guests had a blast. Because the camp is nestled between forest and ocean it afforded us a lot of opportunities for amazing pictures.
