“Working with Joey was an unbelievable pleasure. My now husband and I were quite nervous about hiring a DJ (naturally given it was our first time!), but the second I found and spoke to Joey over the phone in an introductory call, I knew we were in good hands. His warmth, charisma and incredible professional experience was apparent, even during those first few minutes. Joey is an unbelievably talented performer (he played live cello at our ceremony) and a well seasoned DJ. What we didn’t know when we first hired him, was just how much help Joey would be in helping us schedule and orchestrate the flow of our full wedding. We had multiple calls and meetings, well before the wedding day, where Joey kept us informed and confident all throughout. He helped us coordinate the music not only to the most important parts of the wedding, but also to all in the in-betweens, making sure that good vibes were always flowing throughout the whole thing. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to make it all happen. Joey is also someone who is incredibly organized and pays great attention to detail and timing. “Ashley was amazing! Leading up to the wedding, she was super helpful in guiding us through the steps to set up playlists and coordinate the intros/outros of the bridal party. Our wedding was spread out over a large property, and she had zero issue running speakers to each area, providing a festive, cozy atmosphere! We had a couple live performances and she was very accommodating in getting mic stands and cables all ready to go. Then the DANCING began! Lights, speakers, the whole deal - Ashley killed it! We leaned into more 70’s and 80’s music, and Ashley completely understood the assignment. Needless to say, the music mix was brilliant. Since then, we have had at least a dozen of our friends and family tell us that this was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. I have no doubt that Ashley is 99.99% responsible for that. Hiring Ashley and Fog City Entertainment made a lot of sense 6 months ago, but now, having seen what she can do for a wedding’s atmosphere and dance floor, it’s a no-brainer. Thank you, Ashley!!”

“Golden Bell traveled to New Orleans to play my wedding, and they put on the set of our dreams. We skipped all of the expected wedding songs and handed them a playlist of all of our favorite disco and funk songs (with a sprinkling of Phish jams) and they delivered an absolutely mind-blowing set. I pretty much missed the rest of my reception because I was on the dance floor All. Night. Long. (Please see photos below of me LOSING MY MIND). Our wedding was 8 months ago (yes, this review is super late) and people are STILL making comments about how good the music at our wedding was. If you are a funk/ disco fan, hire Golden Bell. If you are a Phish fan, hire Golden Bell. If you can’t decide between a band and a DJ, hire Golden Bell. If you want your wedding to be a vibe unlike all the other weddings, hire Golden Bell. Just hire them. It was epic. No notes.”

“Jerod and his team are absolutely incredible and I’m not sure where to start in singing their praises. From the very beginning Jerod was energetic, positive, extremely responsive, communicative, detail-oriented, professional, and most importantly you could tell that he genuinely cares. He cared about understanding what the bride and groom wanted, he cared about making the entire day special and smooth, and he cared about making sure that the dance floor was packed and had great vibes all night long. He was proactive and prompt about working with my other vendors and I always felt at ease that he was handling everything that he needed to. We had 4 different locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dance floor) where he set up his audio/emcee equipment plus a photo booth near the dance area. Everything was totally smooth, great audio quality, and he was super professional and fun for the parts that he emceed (introducing wedding party, speeches, even cake cutting, etc). A few memories stand out to me that were made possible by Jerod: - My husband and I did a first dance that started out slow and then turned more upbeat and ended with him picking me up as the beat drops and all of our friends rushing on the dance floor. At that moment, Jerod had coordinated the lights to go from soft whole-room lighting so that everyone could watch the first dance to dark/party uplighting when the beat dropped and everyone rushed in. It was awesome and so memorable and fun! - Jerod let me and my husband DJ behind the booth for a song which was so fun and out guests loved it! - He also coordinated for us to have a private last dance as our guests headed to the after-party, and that private moment at the end of the night was so special. I highly recommend JAM entertainment and am so thankful I had them on my wedding day”
