“Epic Sounds was an amazing addition to our wedding! From the beginning Lance was very attentive to our needs and our ideas. He was very flexible with our late add ons (if you’re on the fence about the photo booth definitely get it!!!!!) He provided professional sound and service throughout our entire wedding. Everyone who needed a mic had one set up with ease. He was able to do separate music for us in a different part of the venue for guests who did not want to be around louder music or lights. He was also ready to help with any task that was thrown his way! When I was dead set on a short clip I had seen online and had the idea to mix it with a different song, he was able to achieve my vision and took feedback when I wanted to tweak small things! One of our favorite parts was his ability to mix all night. We did not want a DJ to just press play on a preset playlist and go about their evening. Lance was on top of it the entire time and there was no lull in music or in energy on the dance floor. We requested that there were no slow songs and each song did not play all the way through. It gave him the ability to spin and gave him autonomy to read the dance floor and play whatever fitted the vibe. He made it very easy to make requests for what to play (or not play!) ahead of time and it saved us time and stress the day of. Lance helped our wedding vision come to life – if you want a party on your dance floor, he is your guy!!!”

He walked us though everything, and had a detailed form to fill out and get back to him about what kind of music we wanted or didn't want, when we wanted it played, and timeline for the event. We spoke on the phone about a week before the wedding to go over the paper, and he was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The day of the wedding, our timeline got moved around due to the health of a family member, and TD barely blinked an eye. He moved songs around for us easily, took examples of songs we had given him and expanded on them, and had everyone out on the dance floor after dinner. I would highly recommend TD and Sound Enforcement to anyone looking for a competent, professional and fun DJ.”

Do you want the wedding playlist to be a reflection of you and your spouse's music choices? Then you want to book Summit Events ASAP. Our wedding DJ was Sean Markland and he was just phenomenal to work with. Prior to our wedding we had a lengthy call with Sean; my husband and I were very picky with our wedding playlist and had a rule of absolutely no traditional wedding reception songs or line-dances. We love electronic dance music (EDM) and wanted our wedding to be "festival/show vibes". We pretty much curated our own playlist of EDM, country, hip-hop, folk and I really wasn't sure how our guests would respond (and we really didn't care because it was our wedding), but the way Sean mixed and transitioned the songs and hyped up the dance floor kept the vibes going all night! We used Summit Events for our up lighting too - highly recommend as it was a great way to turn the room from a classy dinner reception to a dance party in one click! The sound quality was great for both speeches and music; we wanted to make sure guests could hear speeches clearly and we had no issues at all even though it was a large room. I also appreciated the Vibo app that we used to plan out our ceremony, entrances, first dances and our playlist for the night - it was a great tool that kept songs and notes in one place. We would definitely use Sean and Summit Events again and highly recommend them for the best night of your life!”

The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. “We had the pleasure of working with DJ Wong from MyDeejay. A quick review of MyDeejay: They were excellent to work with. They paired us with DJ Wong after we filled out a quick survey about the vibe we wanted for our wedding, and it was smooth sailing from there. It's clear from working DJ Wong that MyDeejay vets their DJs very well and ensures they're all professional and great to work with. Now for DJ Wong: He's got all of the main things you want in a vendor--professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, etc.), but he goes well above and beyond those standards. He provided ceremony music, background music, reception music, and uplighting, but that's just the starting point of everything he did for us. We were PICKY and we had A LOT of requests, and he accommodated them all flawlessly and eagerly. We requested he alter versions of some of our selected songs to adjust for timing, blending parts of songs together, and very particular transitions between songs. He made everything sound amazing! We had not 1, not 2, but FIVE choreographed dances throughout the evening, and he executed the timing of everything perfectly. The sound was incredible! In addition to that, because we were completely over-the-top for our wedding, DJ Wong so graciously and excitedly fulfilled our request to have KARAOKE at our reception. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a very particular vibe in mind from our wedding--we wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner to be classy and jazzy, and then for the reception dancing we wanted a mix of Pop anthems from the past 3 decades--DJ Wong understood the assignment perfectly! We were also at a very large venue and he had to provide sound across many different areas throughout the evening, but he came fully prepared and did an excellent job. We received so many compliments about the ambience for the entire evening, and we attribute that to him! On top of everything else, DJ Wong is an excellent MC and can read a room flawlessly. He kept the vibes up the entire evening, and struck the perfect balance of engaging with the audience and letting the music do the work. We are so grateful we had him for our special day!”
