“When we first booked Glen Sanders, someone told my mother that Glen Sanders runs like a well-oiled wedding machine. They were spot on. Glen Sanders knows weddings. Every vendor was thrilled to hear we were working with them. They made the entire process so easy, so clear. Maki, our bridal attendant, was INCREDIBLE. She greeted us off the bus with our champagne flutes, made sure I was hydrated all during photos, helped me with my dress, and brought me down my sneakers at the reception, among many other things. Glen Sanders also sets up all of your cocktail hour Hors d'œuvres in a separate room for you to eat before going to your reception, and it was the moment my husband and I needed to catch our breath and feel "present" for the rest of the night. People often say their wedding was a blur, but we remember every detail thanks to that moment to pause. As for the venue itself, all of our guests still talk about how great of a setup it was. We got ready on-site (groomsmen downstairs, bridesmaids upstairs, MOG got her hair done in the salon downstairs), our cocktail hour outside and on the enclosed porch, the reception in the ballroom, our after party in the basement bar (Speak-easy vibes!), and then we stayed up with close friends and siblings around the fire until the early hours before going to sleep in our rooms on-site! Glen Sanders is certainly a one-stop shop for everything, and their product is unparalleled. Thank you, GSM team, for the best night of our lives! -Elaina and Bill”

For couples seeking a distinctive setting, our Heritage Series extends the Elm & Arbor experience to the historic Stockade Inn, including elevated ceremony experiences with access to the property's accommodations. “**All the Magic of a Wedding, Without All the Busyness!** I cannot say enough wonderful things about Elm & Arbor and Emily! As a photographer, I had the absolute joy of capturing a wedding here, and I walked away thinking more couples NEED to know this place exists! I think somewhere along the way, weddings became these gigantic productions, and while there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, I love that Elm & Arbor offers something different. If a huge wedding day isn't what you're dreaming of, you really can strip away all the busyness without sacrificing any of the beautiful things that make a wedding so special. You can still have the beautiful ceremony, the first dance, the champagne toast, the cake cutting, and all those little moments that make the day yours. But instead of feeling pulled in a million directions, you get to slow down, be completely yourself, and actually enjoy the people you've chosen to celebrate with. And can we talk about Emily for a minute?! She is absolutely AMAZING! Communication with her was so easy from the very beginning. She is incredibly organized, thoughtful, and detailed in everything she does. She thinks through all those little things so you don't have to! And honestly, isn't that exactly what you want on your wedding day? Someone who has everything handled so you can just show up and enjoy getting married?! She has the sweetest, calmest nature about her, and I cannot emphasize enough how valuable that is on a wedding day. Weddings can be overwhelming, even the small ones, and Emily brings exactly the kind of energy you want around you. She has a way of making everything feel easy, comfortable, and genuinely special. There is something incredibly beautiful about a place that reminds you a wedding doesn't have to be enormous to be meaningful. Sometimes the most beautiful celebrations are the intimate ones. Schenectady is SO lucky to have Elm & Arbor, and I genuinely cannot wait to photograph another wedding here!”

“One of the most beautiful things that came out of the weekend was watching our friends become friends with each other. People who had been complete strangers before our wedding are now flying to visit each other without even needing us to be there. What more could you ask for? The Maples gave everyone the space to relax, connect, laugh, and actually be together for an entire weekend - and that is something we never could have created anywhere else. What makes The Maples even more special is the community Katie has built around it. The relationships she has formed with people throughout the town and upstate are priceless, and they became such an important part of our wedding experience. These aren't just vendors on a preferred-vendor list—they are incredible people who genuinely care. We sent our wedding guests to Middleburgh Coffee Company during the weekend for coffee, and the owner, Dasha, hand-delivered honey from her bees to us the day after our wedding as a thank-you. In what world does that happen?! Rob from Rob's Roasts sent bags of coffee to our apartment before the wedding so we could taste different roasts and choose what we wanted. Brian from the Dumpling Wagon let us sample everything during one of our planning meetings with Katie. Paloma, our florist, absolutely blew us away - we were genuinely speechless the first time we saw what she had created at the reception, and Katie's vision for the pavilion was pure magic. And the care didn't stop when the wedding started. Our bar stayed open an extra 15 minutes just for us. At our family croquet party and welcome party the day before, Richard from Bars Without Boundaries stayed open for the entire time, foregoing our scheduled 3 hour break and would literally come out and hand-deliver drinks to us in the middle of a croquet game. Our photographer, Shelby, stayed an entire extra hour because she wanted to capture our T-shirt toss and sent us previews that same night. These little things might sound small, but they are exactly what made the entire weekend feel so unbelievably special. We had so many guests tell us that it was the best and most authentic wedding they had ever attended. That word - authentic - means so much to us because that was exactly what we wanted. We wanted a wedding that felt like us, and Katie somehow understood that from our very first conversation. We would not change a single thing. If you are considering The Maples Estate, choose it. Choose Katie and Louis. You will have the most beautiful, joyful, completely personal wedding imaginable, and you will get to actually enjoy every second of it. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Our wedding weekend was truly utter magic, and we will be forever grateful to Katie, Louis, their incredible team, and the entire community they've built around The Maples for giving us the best weekend of our lives.”

Fall brings color across the hills, and summer evenings run long and gold. Bring the caterer you love. We have a full commercial kitchen and supply all the tables, chairs, plates, glassware and cutlery for any occasion. Twelve Ponds is for couples who want a wedding weekend, not a wedding day. “We absolutely loved having our wedding at Windham Manor in the fall! The property is stunning, and the views are gorgeous, especially in the early autumn. We got married in the Enchanted Forest, had cocktail hour on the lawn, and our reception in the barn. Everything flowed seamlessly and with 110 guests, the layout was perfect. Although Windham is a small town, it’s easy for guests to find places to stay and things to explore. We did our rehearsal dinner in town and hosted our Sunday brunch at the on-site house. Susan and Barry were wonderful, checking in with us and giving us time to settle in on Thursday. They also offered a variety of decor items such as candles, vases, runners, etc., which made setting up our reception easy and stress-free. We stayed with our wedding party at the house onsite and this really helped make our weekend extra special. We loved having our wedding party with us to hang out and catch up, and to facilitate our after party. Our house manager, Karen, was incredible. She was extremely thoughtful, attentive, and always anticipating what we needed. She checked in throughout the day with even small things like water, coffee, or food. She helped the weekend feel calm and effortless. From the moment we first visited, we knew Windham Manor was our number one choice and it did not disappoint!”

“When we first toured the Carriage House as a potential venue, it was a snowy January day (the opposite of the June wedding day we were touring for) but we could see the vision of space and fell in love with it. Keilana and Dawn were so easy to work with from the initial tour all the way through to picking up our stuff the day after the wedding. They were always available to answer any of our questions, no matter how small. They broke down the planning into parts, so it never felt overwhelming and they were always very clear about what information they needed and when. From the tasting day where we got to imagine how the space would be set up for our wedding, to the final walk through where we went through every detail of the wedding day, Keilana and Dawn were professional and enthusiastic, and we knew that our wedding was in good hands. Having the reception at the Carriage House meant many of our out of state guests were staying at the hotel which made the weekend even more fun, continuously running into people we knew throughout the weekend! Our guests raved about the beautiful cocktail hour outside, the lake views from the reception space, the delicious food, and that even with 200 people there was never a line at the bar when guests went to get a drink! The entire reception ran so smoothly, and we had an amazing time. We could not have picked a better location for our wedding reception, and we would highly recommend the Carriage House at Fort William Henry to other couples!! Thank you, Keilana and Dawn!
