About this venue
Owners Christopher Johnstone and Tom Burke have been returning this former NY upstate summer estate to its former glory since 2016. Set on 6 beautiful acres amongst the farmlands and orchards just outside Hudson, NY, the property has two barns, 5 apt suites, and a main house, or "Lady in Waiting" as she is known up here. The latter is a 5 bedroom center hall Victorian built in 1900 that still features all of her original details. Follow along on our instagram to see the progression as the property transforms! Voted one of America’s best small towns, Hudson features some of the best farm-to-table restaurants in the region, art galleries, microbreweries, wineries, antique shops, performance venues, beautiful Hudson River views and historic homes. Just 2 hours north of NYC and 3 hours west of Boston, it’s the perfect weekend location.

We are a boutique barn wedding experience in the Hudson Valley located just outside of historic Hudson, NY. Our venue boasts a 3,500 sq ft 150 year old "Big Blue" barn, 3 outdoor ceremony spaces, trails and on-site housing for 20+ guests. Located just 5 minutes from downtown Hudson, east of the Catskill mountains and west of the Berkshires, Burkestone Estate is perfectly nestled within minutes to orchards, award winning craft breweries, incredible farm-to-table restaurants, waterfalls, swimming holes, and picturesque hikes right out of a Thomas Cole painting.
