Hey you! I’m Kate Costello, and I’m so happy you’ve discovered thistle + firre. Capturing your love story truly gives me so much joy…My own love story began one cold January evening in MN when I signed up for Catholic Match. I could never have dreamt the happenings that would unfold, including a cross-country move to NY, a wedding in the midst of cornfields, a honeymoon baby, a deployment, and an accidental home birth during a pandemic.

When I was planning our wedding, more than anything else, I wanted the real moments to be caught. As much as I adore Pinterest, I didn’t want staged…I wanted raw emotion, the tears, the laughter…I wanted our story authentically told. I carry that desire into my own work when I’m behind the lens, telling YOUR story. I want your grandkids to pull out your wedding album and say, “Wow! Papa, were you really crying that much?!” Or “Grannie, you’re smiling so much I can’t see your eyes!”
