The Funk Collection began its powerhouse line up of party music in The Sugarbush Vermont resort area in 1998. Rocking Vermont ski areas, street dances, functions, festivals and clubs with an unusual collection of funk and rock music that generate dance grooves that appeal to everyone. The band has grown a style of music improvisation known throughout the state with its members who have performed together for decades. I love what I do. I found my way to professional photography in a roundabout way, having started my working career as a marine scientist and environmental educator in CA and then on Maui. After years immersed in the ocean and hundreds of hours spent underwater, I realized that I was happiest on days when I could adventure freely with a camera in hand. The drive to learn more and become a better photographer lead me back to school on the east coast, where I ended up finding a new dream career and a home and community that I love.
