We LOVED our wedding at IslandWood! I worked on the events team at IslandWood from 2019-2021, before shifting careers completely. I always loved to work the weddings, and imagined that my dream wedding would be there one day. I am so so happy that I was able to make that dream come true!! IslandWood goes above and beyond to make the guests' and bride & groom's experiences absolutely perfect! I personally already knew the food would taste amazing, as I used to always eat the leftovers when I worked there. But eating food from a menu that my husband and I got to custom design with Jim was truly an unforgettable experience. All of the guests loved the food, and Jim and his team tackle every request that you throw their way! My husband is Dominican, and Jim made sure that the Dominican food he made was authentic and delicious. At one point, my husband's aunts asked whether a Dominican was working in the kitchen! Moreover, Erica, our event planner, went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect weekend! IslandWood is a magical place, and your wedding will be magical if you choose to have it there. Yes, it is pricey, but the experiences that you, your family, and your friends will leave with are truly invaluable!

Ray's was recommended by a friend of a friend and are so pleased with how everything turned out! We did not know where to begin with our planning and had the help of Ray's staff to guide us through all the details leading up to our wedding and reception. What helped us was the promptness in answering our questions and quickly shifting gears as we got closer to our wedding. The food options are incredible and loved that we did not have to stress about additional vendors for our big day! The day of, Peter was so helpful and quick to solve any problem that came up. Ray's offers the best backdrop for photos and taking in the beauty of Puget Sound! I would also add, this experience was worth every penny! The Canal was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the clean, modern design and the abundance of natural light from the large windows. The terrace overlooking the Ballard Locks provided a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The heat lamps were on and everyone stayed warm during our ceremony. Beyond the aesthetics, the staff at The Canal went above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly. They picked up our wedding cake, coordinated the set-up of the tables and chairs, and even provided candles for our centerpieces. Chef Paul is talented. He and his team prepared a delicious meal that we were able to enjoy without missing out on any of the festivities: they plated our food and it was ready for us when we sat down. As a one-stop-shop for both the venue and wedding planning, The Canal connected us with high-quality vendors and handled all the details so we could focus on celebrating our special day. We highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for a creative, full-service option for their wedding.

The National Nordic Museum is a beautiful venue, offering a gorgeous back garden for an intimate outdoor ceremony and a beautiful reception in Osberg Hall. With the wooden walls and the starlike pendant globe lights, somehow Osberg Hall feels palatial and cozy. There’s also a whole kitchen for your catering needs, and a parking lot for automotive ease. Stephanie, the Venue Services Coordinator, was absolutely a dream to work with. She was very communicative with our team during months of prep and she was super tuned in on the day of the wedding. If every venue had a coordinator like Stephanie, our jobs as wedding planners would be a lot easier! Can’t wait for our future clients to book this venue so we can work there again.

We had a truly magical wedding aboard the Virginia V this July. Our dream was to start in Lake Union, go through the Ballard Locks and end up at the downtown waterfront and they found a way to make it happen. Alicia and Mark were extremely responsive and accommodating of our requests. Our guests had an amazing time and we were so honored to celebrate with a piece of Seattle history. The Virginia V is a nonprofit and I loved supporting them in preserving the ship rather than paying a corporate wedding venue.

The Ruins is like someone took all the cool bits of Seattle, threw in a dash of vintage Europe, and turned it into a wedding venue. From the get-go, the place just oozes personality. You've got walls with hand-painted murals that could have been lifted from a storybook – I’m talking vibrant colors, whimsical scenes, the works. And antlers. And trees indoors. Each room in The Ruins has its own thing going on. One feels like a swanky 1920s lounge, another like a secret garden. We had space to spare, so people could either kick back in a cozy corner or hit the dance floor without stepping on toes. The décor is this wild combo of eclectic and classic – it's like your great aunt’s house if she had more money than cigarettes and if she collected stuff from around the globe and had a killer eye for design. The library is amazing – shelves lined with books, a fireplace that makes you want to curl up with a novel, and this epic swooning couch. So, I might’ve taken inspiration from George Costanza – yep, I did a topless photo shoot on that couch. It was all in good fun, and the photos are a riot – a keepsake that breaks the mold of typical wedding seriousness, just like The Ruins itself. The food was great (but they let you bring in your own desserts so do so if you wanna save some money). The only, minor issue, is the bridal suite's location. It’s right by the kitchen, so it’s kinda like Grand Central at rush hour with the staff buzzing through. Note to brides: Swap it out for the library. Trust me, it’s much less busy (if darker) and you won’t have the kitchen hustle messing with your pre-walk-down-the-aisle zen. Honestly, The Ruins is the kind of place that’s perfect if you want a wedding that's a bit left of center but still super heartfelt. It’s quirky without trying too hard and intimate without being cramped. The whole day felt like us – not stuffy, just a big, fun, love-filled party. The Ruins has many nooks crammed with curiosities and corners begging for a photo op, it’s a place that feels alive. The mix of odd and elegant, the hand-painted walls that seem to whisper tales, the stuff like the enormous elephant (sadly, only in the back back room so only good for wedding photos not the guests) and the patterned horse and much more all adds up to a vibe that’s as unique as your weird cousin, the cool one, not the other one. The Ruins is like that one weird friend who's always got a story to tell and makes everything more fun. Having our wedding there was like a non-stop highlight reel – even with the bridal suite hiccup. It's a place for good vibes, great times, and amazing photos to start your weirdly ever after.

The ambience is beautiful, there are plentiful spaces for getting ready and storing items, and the people are so friendly and accommodating. Of course, they're incredibly busy so sometimes it takes awhile to hear back, but they were wonderful to work with.

Caboose Farm is a beautiful, rustic wedding venue located in Sabillasville, Maryland (just north of Frederick, MD) that blends beautiful scenery with convenient accommodations. Located in close proximity to Baltimore; Washington, D.C.; and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the venue offers a charming 220-acre space with access to attractions such as golf, wineries, and hiking. Its scenery also provides a beautiful backdrop for events, with scenic wedding sites to choose from, countryside barn, and pastoral farms and pastures. Inside the event buildling we can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated dinner. For groups over 150, we would have to bring in a tent for the dinner portion of the evening. The property offers seven fully furnished houses on its premises that can, collectively, accommodate 97 guests. The houses offer you the opportunity to spend a full weekend with your friends and family while celebrating your special day with those you love!

We hosted our 120 person wedding at the W and it was the best decision ever! I don’t even know where to begin! Our coordinator, Ciara, was amazing to work with. The food was delicious and we got so many comments from our guests. We hosted the ceremony and reception here, and the ballroom is gorgeous. The up lighting was perfect, and staff was so professional. Our family and friends stayed at the W for a few nights, and they had nothing but great things to say. My partner and I didn’t visit many venues, but after visiting WithinSodo, we kept envisioning our wedding taking place in it, and we are so happy we went with it. The most important thing for us at our wedding was to keep people dancing, and this was the perfect venue for that. The space was flexible and fun, and 120 guests felt full, but definitively not overcrowded. We had our ceremony & cocktail hour on the roof, food and a live band in the main room, and an on-site after-party back on the roof. This helped break-up the event and keep things fresh, without guests having to drive between locations; a guest said it was like “3 parties in one”, which would be hard to replicate at another venue. Going back on the “Monkey Loft” roof and enjoying the summer breeze and the city lights was a great way to end our wedding, and a time where we were able to have pure fun after a hectic day. Many of our friends commented that it was such a cool and fun venue!!! Kate was so nice and kind, and generous with her time. We were able to book venue access multiple times prior to the event, to walk-through with vendors, and Kate helped us there each time. She also made us so hyped for our event and is such a lovely person, we felt like we were in great hands. Some hopefully helpful notes: We were very happy to have hired a lighting vendor (Crimzon Haze), which helped the main floor feel lively. We went with a mobile pizza oven buffet (Veraci) instead of catering, and guests loved it, while also simplifying some of our catering needs. Setting up the bar and the desserts in the mirror room added fun and flair. The venue does not have an elevator to the rooftop, which doesn’t make it accessible to guests with limited mobility. We mostly took care of our own sound needs. If you don’t hire sound professionals, I would recommend doing a sound-check before the event to make sure everything is working as expected. Overall, we were super happy with our experience, and WithinSodo was a great venue with great staff for a flexible, “build-it-yourself” wedding. They have a TON of experienced vendor recommendations and plenty of tips and support along the way.

We chose this venue for our micro wedding on Feb 11, 2022. It was just as magical, rustic and urban looking vibe as we expected. Although we had a micro wedding, the venue could easily fit a bigger party, and the entire ambience of the place is definitely buildable with customizations while keeping it authentic to the “ industrial chic” vibe. Danielle, the venue coordinator did an amazing job of decking up the venue and make it beautiful for our wedding. The venue has a pub/eatery next to it that can cater some delicious food. In short , the venue is a complete package!
