About this venue
We believe that people see the problems our world faces and have the desire to help, but often don’t know where to start. So we started Cathedral with one goal in mind — to build something that’s the sole purpose of existing was to make this world of ours a more just and beautiful place. Building things that matter takes time. Cathedrals took generations to build — those who began the work didn’t see its completion. The architect who drew up the plans would never see their spires rise. The mason laying the bricks would never stand under their cover.

The event space is located in the heart of Historic Ballard — directly on Ballard Avenue. We can host a wide variety of events including — private parties, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and wedding receptions. This historic space features gorgeous finishes, exposed brick, marble bar-tops and two separate floors each with their own bar. The space includes a full kitchen for the caterer of your choice. We offer multiple options based on your unique event size and needs.

Perfect
It’s hard to put into words just how incredible our experience was planning our wedding at Cathedral. Of course the space is beautiful and just the right size for our guest list, and that was enough of a reason to choose it for our wedding. But it ended up being so much more at the end of the day. We chose to add the venue’s planning service, which I’m so glad we did. We worked closely with Nate from our initial tour of the venue through to our wedding day, and he made every part of the process so easy and straightforward. He was there for every question, big or small, had excellent vendor recommendations, and was on site the day of our wedding making sure everything came together seamlessly. Our wedding truly turned out to be the best day of our lives thanks to Nate. There is so much more to this venue than just its appearance though. All profits are donated to charity, and it is run with genuine love and passion. The candles are also fantastic. In short, it’s a wonderful venue full of wonderful people, and our wedding was perfect thanks to all of their help and support.
stunning space in great location
If you are looking for a Seattle and city wedding this is it - and if you are looking for after party the bars are right outside. We have done several weddings here as wedding DJs and guests are always happy. Sometimes the couple chooses to have the ceremony at a local park near the water. Great staff and great facility. Additionally, the fully equipped bar, complete with taps and glassware, is ready to accommodate any event's beverage needs. Cathedral is not only a visually stunning venue but also a place with a heart, dedicated to a meaningful cause. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and creating memorable experiences together.
Beautiful Intimate Venue Space
Words cannot express how beautiful Cathedral is and how great it was to work with Nate (owner) and Jenn (Day of Coordinator). They are personable, professional and extremely communicative! Jenn was so so great. She was on it, kept calm, and eased any day of qualms I had. I LOVED working with her. We fell in love with the venue. In particular, the exposed brick, sky light and marble bar-tops. They also have great amenities that is included in the pricing (candles, glassware, linens, tables, chairs, etc.). You can also bring your own food and booze which helped us save a little bit of money! We found the price to be fair and loved their missions - Cathedral donates all profit to charities! We are so happy to be married, and will forever remember Cathedral as the place that made it happen!
