About this venue

We believe that people see the problems our world faces and have the desire to help, but often don’t know where to start. So we started Cathedral with one goal in mind — to build something that’s the sole purpose of existing was to make this world of ours a more just and beautiful place. Building things that matter takes time. Cathedrals took generations to build — those who began the work didn’t see its completion. The architect who drew up the plans would never see their spires rise. The mason laying the bricks would never stand under their cover.

Soothing, breathtaking space.

The event space is located in the heart of Historic Ballard — directly on Ballard Avenue. We can host a wide variety of events including — private parties, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and wedding receptions. This historic space features gorgeous finishes, exposed brick, marble bar-tops and two separate floors each with their own bar. The space includes a full kitchen for the caterer of your choice. We offer multiple options based on your unique event size and needs.

    Cathedral was the perfect spot for our reception, and we’re so happy with both the party and the process of planning! Thanks to Nate, Liz, and the day of event staff for providing timely, friendly assistance throughout the planning process and helping us throw a party for our mostly out of town guests that was one to remember! Guests were commenting on the space all night, it’s such a fun venue - a beautiful bar filled with all your closest friends and family, who could ask for anything better??     Cathedral was the perfect venue for our wedding. We very much appreciated how attentive the staff was to all of our needs and the amenities this place provided were great. Before we even began decorating for our wedding, the whole space looked amazing on its own. As long as you have a good parking plan in place for your event guests in the Ballard area, then Cathedral is an easy recommendation.

    We couldn't have asked for a better space, or a better team to work with. Cathedral was everything we could have hoped for in a venue and more. First, the location is perfect. Ballard is such a fun neighborhood and our guests LOVED pregaming before, and continuing the party after in this vibrant neighborhood with so many fun bars. The team was amazing. They communicated with me every step of the way, worked with all of our venders and their walk-through schedules, and helped provide the support needed for a seamless night. Truly couldn't have done it without them. And lastly, you are giving back to a community that is doing amazing things. Their mission is incredible, and your wedding can have a deeper purpose. Gives me all of the feels! You will not regret having your event at Cathedral. Not even for a second. It was an amazing experience from start to finish.

    As an event staffing and bartending company we work at many different venues with different owners and facility managers. Cathedral, by far, is one of the best venues to work with. The staff is wonderful, easy to work with knowledgeable and sets expectations up front. The venue is always clean and in good working order. A huge plus is their ice machine and tap system for draft beer! You can't go wrong hosting your event at Cathedral!
